    Open face RB?

This place is decent for breakfast, but this is what I had for lunch. It was supposed to be an open face roast beef sandwich, but it kinda looks like dog food does it?

Nice clean restaurant with friendly staff. Food was wonderful! Bacon was cooked perfect and so were my eggs.

Apparently this is our 2nd time here. According to my woman. I was going to 2 star this visit, due to the slow start of our visit. We picked our own table. Took awhile for the server to get around to us, for our drink order and wait some more for our food order. Combine both times waiting and multiply by 8 and thats how long we waited for our food. But on a high note, the food was actually very good. My wife claims, it was the best omelet she's had in a long time. My order was just as good, I added 2 pancakes as a side. Im glad they weren't oversized, because I never finish those. Food tasted very fresh and you can tell, they hadn't sat very long, before coming to our table. Yes, we would dine here again.

Look what happened to me when I ordered food from Country Kitchen in Mandeville,La. I called to ask them was this a mistake they told me no, that this what you get since their prices are so cheap. We paid $10 plus tax for this and this how it was served to us. Buyer beware check your food before leaving this place. This is awful and the food tasted as though they sprayed Raid spray on it.

If you are looking for a fancy place, you will be disappointed. If you're looking for great food, great service and a laid back atmosphere, this is your place. The restaurant looks as if it hasn't been updated in some time, but that is part of the charm. The servers are great and the food is some of the best traditional breakfast food on the Northshore. In my opinion they have the best western omelet of all the breakfast places in the area. Other breakfast standards, like pancakes, biscuits, etc. are all very good. Their coffee is also particularly good, and if you want, you can get a large carafe for the table. They can get crowded, but you usually do not have to wait for a table. I would avoid the booths, especially on the ones on he right side as you walk in. They are not designed for tall people. There is a bar of torture that will destroy your kneecaps and/or shins. For a casual traditional breakfast meal, you cant beat the Country Kitchen.

This place is a gem! Everything is really good. Service, food, ambience, 10/10. We've visited multiple times cause their food is amazing but this time we tried seafood omelet and that it's out of this world the flavors on this dish are insane %1000 recommended

Lots of good breakfast food and very reasonably priced. We had ham and cheese omlet, delicious grits, and blueberry pancakes.

Liz came by the table to say hi to my mother in law and to meet us all. I started my meal with a spicy Bloody Mary and then had the Seafood Scramble with Spicy Hollandaise and a side of Cheesy Grits. The scramble had a good amount of eggs and seafood and the sauce had a nice level of seasoning. I would've loved to have the biscuit that came but I saved it for my son since he can eat gluten. That biscuit looked soft and fluffy. I loved my egg dish. My son had a Cheeseburger with Sweet Potato Fries and my brother in law had the Grilled Cheese and Crab Sandwich. They both looked great and apparently were delicious. The Shrimp and Grits and Debris Eggs Benedict were awesome too. We will definitely be back on our next trip if not another day this week.

Liz's exterior appears a little downtrodden and parking a bit limited, but inside is welcoming with a bright and shiny Louisiana ambiance. We had excellent service and Liz herself dropped by and welcomed us. We ordered a variety of specialties, with me enjoying an egg scrambler with all the trimmings, my wife having a sumptuous roast beef po'boy and my son having a burger and fries. All were very good and our iced tea glasses were never allowed to be empty. We were seated immediately, but business is brisk and you may need to be prepared to wait at peak times. We look forward to returning!

We have our favorites on both sides of the lake, but I recently read some great reviews somewhere online about Crazy Pig Southern Kitchen with locations in both Mandeville and Covington. After speaking with our friends we decided to dine at the Covington location of Crazy Pig Southern Kitchen. Inside the entrance, the restaurant posts their policy that you will not be seated at a table until all parties have arrived, which is understandable considering the huge amount of business they have. My wife and I arrived before our friends who were running a little late. The Hostess, Jill, asked me how many in our party and I told her four, but the other couple was running late and would be arriving in about 20 minutes. We took a seat in the empty waiting area inside the entrance. The restaurant appeared to have only one or two empty tables available inside when I arrived on a beautiful day. Five to ten minutes later the waiting area was full (approx. ten people). The restaurant was extremely noisy with all their customers enjoying their meals and conversing with friends/family. I noticed that there were approximately ten tables located in front of the restaurant in a beautiful covered patio, so I asked Jill if we could have a table outside once our friends arrived in about five more minutes because one of them was somewhat physically handicapped. There was only one empty table in the patio at the time. Jill explained that since she had a reservation in the patio for a party of eight that would be arriving soon, so she had been holding it for another available outside table to put together to accommodate this party. However, she said she would gladly give us the table. By this time, the waiting room was full of people and overflowing outside the entrance. I had given my seat to a lady and stepped outside to wait for my friends, who I noticed had arrived and parking their car. I told Jill and she seated us at the table in the patio. The four of us ordered different things on the menu, which were fantastic. Although the restaurant was packed, the waitress AND Jill visited our table several times to ensure we were enjoying our meals. Crazy Pig Southern Kitchens' ambiance, service, menu items (along with portion sizes) and prices were absolutely astounding. We were all very impressed and grateful for a beautiful dining experience. Special thanks to Jill who was abundantly pleasant to deal with. Crazy Pig Southern Kitchen certainly placed Jill in the right position.

She highly recommended the Blacken Shrimp and Grits. When my food came out, it was a large plate with plenty of shrimp. The food was amazing. I got my Southern/ Creole craving fulfilled. It is attached to The Beach House and I am pretty sure it used to be a bar or at east part of the bar at the BH. Now it is a full on coffee shop. The Good The coffee here is very good. The iced coffee is bold yet smooth with very little bitterness. if you're a fan of coffee the way god intended (black with nothing), you will be happy with their version. If I had to guess I would say that it's cold brewed. There is a decent selection of food items. On my most recent visit I had a croissant sandwich. It was pre-made and microwaved to warm it up, but it was tasty. My daughter had a chocolate muffin which she devoured with the quickness. The "Just OK" This is a small and narrow space with low ceilings. Each time I have been here it seemed as if all, or almost all, of the tables were taken up by folks who weren't leaving anytime soon. I am a big fan of working at a coffee shop, but if you've got whining kids, it is nice to have a place to sit, eat, and then roll out. There is a small parking lot next to the shop. I have never seen it when it wasn't full. There is ample street parking, but the curbs are low and not friendly to low vehicles. The service is hit or miss. My most recent visit was fine, but several others have been downright odd. One time the barista didn't know how to make the sandwich I ordered. I am pretty sure it just gets unwrapped and put in the microwave. Will I be back? I think so. It is a nice alternative to the chains. I just wish I had more tie during the week to stop in.

The service was phenomenal! It was for an anniversary, and they made sure to tell us happy anniversary, and add it to a little sign that was left on our table. Now for the main part: the food. Fried Oysters and Pork Belly - very good, if you get this make sure you eat them together (that was our "best bite" for that serving). Wedge Salad - one of the best wedge salad's we have had. The blue cheese dressing was creamy (rather than chunky blue cheese). It had crispy shoestring onion strings that almost acted as the croutons. I loved every bite that included lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and bacon. Delmonico Steak - this was probably our overall favorite item. Just a great steak, and large enough for both of us to enjoy. Redfish - this was good, not great. Would probably try something else other than this if we went back. Tchefuncte Potatoes - they almost were like a twice baked potato (flavor wise), but they are super creamy and fluffy and then turned into a lightly fried ball. Good and very unique. Crème Brûlée - if you like crème brûlée then you will enjoy it here. A classic dessert that was delicious. And to top it all off, the ambiance was great. It is right on the water, and service was very attentive.
