Ever find that place you want to go to almost every week or multiple times a week to get the same 2 dishes? This is that spot for locals and travelers alike. Right off of 101, it is a no fuss joint, full of wonderful speedy staff, who take pride in bringing you that breakfast or lunch that meets your expectations. Try their chocolate pancakes with a side of peanut butter - it'll give you that food hug you were longing for.

Simple but delish, I tried the biscuits and gravy. Their green salsa was amazing(not pictured).

Just a little restaurant off the 101 in Prunedale. Inexpensive but doable. I would recommend trying. Dogs are allowed to sit at or on the counter, so there's that. But nice family and friendly place. Wait staff is very friendly and personable. The inside looks like a barn and to me it's Kool cause that's where I grew up. They even have a hen roosting in the rafters! And a real barn door in the back! Kool place..

Last but never least, the ribs! Tender, fall off the bone, smoky! We got the full rack for four of us, we each took home ribs for the family! The trip was completely spontaneous since we had been in Big Sur earlier that day, but it ended up being well worth the drive. I never would've expected this market to be tucked away at the end of a residential street, but once you get close, you can smell the food before you even arrive. The sandwich was incredible...huge enough that we had to share it. The meat was so juicy it was literally dripping down my fingers, and I made an absolute mess eating it. I would definitely return. It truly feels like a hidden hole-in-the-wall spot run by hardworking, down-to-earth people. The owner was personable, engaged in friendly banter, and made the experience even better. Plenty of locals stopped by during our lunch, and what really stood out was that he even remembered my friend despite him not having lived in the area for the past three years.

And I luv pastries and baked goods especially if they're authentically fresh made from local bakeries not franchises. So even though we were on a time schedule, I made time to check out this place. So glad I did. Delicious baked items at reasonable prices. Right when I walked in, I was greeted by a young woman that had the best smile and attitude. She was super helpful. I chatted her up a bit and found out they opened in 2021 and it's a family business. The recipes are family recipes. Luv that! Also I had to ask about the prices, there are no prices marked for the baked goods. The case had cookies, cream pies (whole and slices), croissants, muffins, scones, cream puffs, eclairs, mini fruit tarts, cheesecake (whole and slices), and danishes. They all were just so gorgeous. Sitting so pretty in the case. We bought a carrot cake muffin, slice of banana cream pie, a Grandpa David's peanut butter cookie, and a chocolate chip cookie. The cashier packaged everything carefully and provided napkins and forks. The muffins were big, fat and hefty sized. The carrot cake muffin was moist but not so much that it fell apart. So darn good. The frosting was heavenly, not too sweet and just the prefect consistency. I devoured that right away in the car. While I was inhaling the muffin, Hubs scarfed down the banana cream pie slice. The cookies were nice "biggish" size. These cookies were moist, which I prefer over crisp crunchy ones. Grandma Dave's PB was one of the best PB cookies I've ever had. They are also have breakfast menu and lunch menu (burgers, sandwiches, and salads). The place is very small with few two person tables. It's more of takeout place.

The side of Mac and cheese with bacon and jalapeños was awesome: My wife got the three meat combo ($37) of sausage, tri-tip and chicken. Sausage was perfectly cooked and spicy and the chicken is moist and flavorful. Prices aren't cheap here. Ended up paying $90 with tax and tip and drinks for two but it was worth it. Their co-owner Nick who greeted us like old friends said they've been around for the past six years and here's hoping for another sixty. We'll be sure to be back for more our next trip down 101.

From the moment we walked in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind, which made the whole experience even better. I ordered the Double Chicken Pesto, and it was easily the highlight of my visit. The sandwich was served warm, which made a big difference. The pesto added a rich, savory flavor and all of the ingredients worked well together. The bread though! Crisp and nicely crunchy on the outside, yet soft and fresh on the inside. It had that perfect texture you hope for in a sourdough sandwich and elevated the experience. My son ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad along with a cup of clam chowder. The salad had a generous portion of chicken, lots of croutons for extra crunch, and a Caesar dressing that was creamy and flavorful. They also included two sides of dressing, which was great for anyone who likes a well-coated salad. My son ended up asking for a third. The clam chowder was decent overall. It wasn't the best we've had compared to some of the chowder spots in Monterey, where the standard is pretty high, but it was still warm, satisfying, and worth trying as part of the meal. Overall, Sourdough Company delivered fresh food, solid portions, quality bread, and excellent customer service. If you are looking for a satisfying sandwich or casual lunch spot with friendly staff, this is definitely a place worth visiting. We'd happily return to for lunch.

My wife is vegan, and I love vegan food, so we decided to take a Sunday drive and check out the brunch offerings! Upon arriving, we quickly came to realize that space is super limited inside. There's really just one spot right inside the door. There were two tables out in front, however it was raining and that wasn't going to work for us. We did eye one other table inside, and they quickly cleared it off and were super willing to accommodate us, especially since we mentioned we had come down from San Jose in the rain, and had been looking forward to the experience. After looking at photos online, it's possible there might be a patio in the back, but again, my guess is it would be weather permitting. Just a heads up to plan accordingly when coming here, as space is limited. Rafael operates the Cali Caffeine part of the business, and right away he made me a very tasty vanilla americano, and my wife had a specialty latte made with oatmilk. Super good and paired wonderfully with our food. Maria operates Cultiva, and is the chef and prepares the food. She was so warm and welcoming, and she made us some of the best vegan dishes we've had outside of our own home. We ordered three items and shared: Waffle - Banana Brulee, Cinnamon, Maple Syrup Chilaquiles - House Red Sauce, Corn Chips, Crema, Onion, Queso Fresco Milanesas with Famous Mom's Macaroni Salad - rice & mushroom medley "steak" milanesas paired with creamy, flavorful macaroni salad In addition to the above, we also got to try a side of spicy garlic potatoes, with chipotle sauce, spring onions, and arugula. The food was incredible and the flavors were delectable! Everything was made with thought and care, and it truly came through in every bite. We are so glad we took the drive out and met these wonderful people, ate some delicious food, and had an amazing experience. Can't wait to come back again. Thank you so much Maria and Rafael!

As soon as I walked in, I received a "hello!" "welcome!" and a happy, cheerful smile. Immediately, I felt so welcomed. I was able to talk to the cashier and get some recommendations and ask her a bunch of questions. I decided to try the lavender vanilla latte, which is a seasonal drink. Wow! I am completely obsessed with the lavender vanilla latte. It was smooth, creamy, delicious, vibrant! I got a sandwich, and it was good, but not the best, so I may have to try a different food item. While I waited, I took a look around. They have gorgeous plants hanging, the decor, the atmosphere, everything about this place is just magnificent. People were sitting down, drinking and talking. While I appreciated being given an alternative, the final drink was nothing like what was advertised. It did not include the strawberry popping boba, and there was nothing creamy about it. The drink tasted bland, watered down, and lacked flavor. I was so disappointed with the drink that I didn't even want to try the banana bread I purchased. After a few sips, the entire purchase went straight into the trash. It's frustrating to spend money on something that doesn't come close to meeting expectations.
