Breakfast for dinner, one of my favorite things! We walked in and it took a bit for us to get seated. We were given the menus and ordered items we haven't tried yet. I got the waffle meal and my wife got the French toast meal. The food was great, very tasty. The service was okay not the best but it's fine. The decor was amazing as there was a Christmas tree and Christmas decorations hanging. We will be returning for the great breakfast food! read more

This is a great find! We were traveling with our two dogs and they have a dog friendly patio! Umbrella tables offered lots of shade for us and the dogs! Music, sunshine, a place to walk the dogs, great food and quick service! Our waitress brought out a bucket of water for each dog! Fabulous experience. Taking a small road trip and needed lunch, but we traveled with the puppets! A sign coming into Warrensburg let us know that Country Kitchen has a patio that welcomes our four legged buddies. There are menu's for the humans and the puppers, and judging from the cleared plates. 5)3 food was good. Eggs for all were perfection, and the doggies took a doggie bag of kibble home with them. The serves were all in masks and very considerate and attentive. Highly recommend, and if you happen to have your dog-O along for the ride, they'll enjoy the food too! read more

We all ate different meals, i had ribs and tater totss, my wife had steak and potato, my friend had chicken fried steak and my niece had burger with fried onions, all of us thought the food was excellent. We had emma for a waitress, she was really good at remembering our orders condiments and drinks, she was sociable and friendly, she has been a waitress at country kitchen for 3 years. Food was okay, but I was really distracted by what appeared to be former US president Donald Trump sitting in the booth across from me and my boyfriend. It kept staring at us the entire time and didn't even take out a sip out of the four loko. I also spilled my coffee all over the table and all over myself and my boyfriend, leaving our matching white bell bottom pants brown. The light by our table was so bright I genuinely could not see my French toast, it just looked white and completely over exposed to the naked eye. read more

I've been craving their DELICIOUS pancakes, so we hit this place up for a late breakfast. We all had steak and eggs and all 3 of us made the "clean plate club". AWESOME food. Moderately priced hole filler. I expected a Bob Evans or a Cracker Barrel of sorts. I got bland Dennys. The ribs weren't smoked as the waitress said they were, rather boiled and then coated with a sweet sauce. My wife's burger was a poor knock-off of Applebee's quesadilla burger. The fries were coated with something that obliterated the potato flavor. For dessert we opted for Ho-hos at the local convenience store. They may be better for breakfast, but how do you ruin breakfast? I'm sure they are working on it, though. read more

My Dad, husband, & I really like this restaurant!! The manager (John) is very personable & seems to really like his job and wants the customers to have a good experience! I wanted to try this place today, but left very disappointed.. The Country Kitchen Restaurant was next on my list of places to try in Warrensburg. I walked in a little after 4pm and was greeted and taken to a booth along the windows. Perfect spot. So far, so good. Was greeted by a server and she was friendly and brought out my water and asked if we needed some time to look over the menu. I did. We both decided on the Bacon Cheeseburger with Brew City fries, I guess a signature item of theirs. I made it very clear that we both wanted our burgers cooked EXTRA well done. I asked if the burger came with mustard or mayo and then before she left I said a second time, "and both extra well please.." Noticed some debris on the floors under some of the nearby booths while I waited and a bothersome fly buzzed around my table. Little annoying.. I've noticed a lot of places here in the Midwest have flies in their establishments. I guess that's the price you pay for living out here "in the country" right? When our plates arrived everything looked good but the first thought that came to mind was "this seems way too fast for two burgers cooked extra well." I tried one of the fries and they tasted great. Was looking forward to a good meal. I built my burger with the lettuce, tomato and pickles that came with my burger. Added some mustard. I was ready to go. Then I do what I always do, cut my burger in half. It was pink. So was the other one. We tried to flag down our server but when we got up to look for someone we saw her sitting down at a booth on the other side of the restaurant with a fellow employee who was eating. Then we went back to the table and waited for a manager to walk by and flagged him down. We told him we ordered our burgers extra well done and they were still pink. He apologized and said something about new meat patties they were using now and how the cooking times weren't perfected yet. We informed him we had no time to wait and just wanted to go. At this point I had lost my appetite anyways. When someone orders extra well, it's for a reason. I just can't eat pink hamburger. I told him our server was nice and I in no way wanted to cause trouble for her. Sometimes when you eat out, these things just happen. I can't imagine a scenario where I would come back. read more

Ah, Country Kitchen. My favorite place to have breakfast in Warrensburg. My husband and I used to go here probably every other Sunday for breakfast. My usual order was Everybody's Favorite, which has two eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns, as well as two of their AMAZING pancakes; which they affectionately call "The Best Pancakes in Town". They were never really busy, seeing as Warrensburg is a small town, and we were seated almost just as we walked in. There were a few occasions where there was a large group of seniors having the breakfast buffet, but that was very rare. The only thing I'd complain about is their pancake portions became very small with the recession. They used to be HUGE, sometimes bigger than the plate. However, recently their pancakes are small and tiny and lost a lot of their luster. Overall, Country Kitchen was amazing for breakfast and I crave their pancakes almost every other month. Definitely a place to stop by if you're in Warrensburg! read more

Found this place on Yelp! It's conveniently located down the street from our hotel. Open 24-hours and it appears to serve the whole menu all day. We came on a Saturday morning and they offered a menu or buffet. I don't know if the buffet is offered every day. It is standard, with eggs, biscuits & gravy, oatmeal, etc. Service was friendly and welcoming. It took a long time to get our food but to be fair, we ordered chicken fried steak, and eggs Benedict. I imagine they don't get too many requests for those. All were generous portions and very flavorful! Added: I just saw the post (of all places in the restroom!) that this place offers a 20% discount for active military all year around! A nice thank you to those who serve! read more

Very prompt and friendly staff. Seated immediately on a Saturday night, got checked on for waters at a very consistent rate. Very helpful with suggestions on menu choices! There was an issue with the couple behind us (I believe the woman's burger was a little undercooked?) and the assistant manager came over and was very polite and apologetic. Today my husband and I went for a quick breakfast to Country Kitchen. We'd been there before and knew what to expect, or what we thought to expect. I ordered 2 eggs w/hashbrowns and french toast and a Citrus Spritzer with Strawberries. I ordered my eggs over medium, but I asked first because every place is different, I wanted my eggs cooked on both sides but runny. She told me that was the correct way to order them. My husband ordered the same way. My eggs were HARD FRIED, my french toast was cold, the syrup was cold, my drink was apparently a big deal to fix. My husbands eggs were the same. I was in a HURRY, she did put a rush on my order so I got it earlier than the people who ordered before us, but getting it cold was just as bad as waiting, or worse. My husband ordered gravy with his meal for his hashbrowns, like he's done before, and it always comes in this SHOT GLASS.. I mean really, why? Is gravy THAT expensive that we have to ration it? We were told that we were only allowed ONE shot glass the first time we went there or the cook would get mad. EXCUSE ME? Food's alright, some of the waitress' need to retire.... at least the one we had today. The one that we had the first time we went was GREAT! Will I go back? I don't know. Food was decent I suppose one bad time out of 3 isn't bad, but I won't go back if I have the same experience.
