My grandmother comes here just about every day. She is most days grouchy, unkept and difficult. BUT, all the staff not only put up with it, but actually are kind to her too!!! I tag along when I can, and the food is good(unless you are my grandmother and think they cut the dessert cake too small or fry the fish too hard). Sometimes its hard to make an older person happy.....but the reality is the food is good and the people that work there have a lot of patience!!!! Country Meadow Restaurant For Breakfast! First time here and super impressed with the experience from the restaurant decorations to to food. All are amazing!! I believe all food are made fresh with homemade feeling, and that makes them the best country breakfast we're ever tried. We had: Country fried steak, topped with sausage gravy, two eggs home fries and toast for $11.95. The generous portion for breakfast, steak fried perfectly, perfectly scrambled eggs, the thinly sliced home fries felt very light but filling and the toast, it's simply delicious with melted butter inside. Chipped beef caserole, eggs scrambled with home fries, onions, shredded cheese and topped with cream chipped beef for $11.95. It's creamy with melted cheese and crunchy at the same time, the generous portions filling faster that I thought. Kid's menu: one pancake with 2 sausages I think it's 3 pancakes in Mickey head shape, it's so big and soft. So cute!! Our server, Ms. J, is super friendly and we're all pampered by her attention! Country setting restaurant. With a warm family welcome. Stop here on a Tuesday a little after the noon rush . Service was friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. The menu was large and had lunch and senior specials. Flavor my meal was better than average. ( not overly seasoned) I do recommend this place. I love stopping at local diners and this place has always had a full parking lot, so we gave it a try. The atmosphere is cute and country. Very kid friendly. Service was prompt and friendly. The food was really good. The menu is a little overwhelming in size, so my husband and I both tried a daily special. He had the haddock fish tacos and I had the captains nachos. Country Meadows is exactly what you would expect from a small family owned restaurant in the middle of PA. The food is good- and they are apparently famous for their "broiled" chicken. Personally, I have never been brave enough to try it- but others say it is good. My favorite menu item is the sweet potato fries- you MUST get these, they are delicious. All of the food is low priced- so you can get alot of bang for your buck. They also have a few meal deals, all of which are great values. They run weekly specials- on the weekends they have clam/seafood cookouts. Mondays they have an all you can eat special. The restaurant has a homey-diner feel. It doesn't appear to be the cleanest place, and the decorations are outdated. The service is okay- a bit slow. This is a good place for a cheap "home cooked" meal. read more

We had our midday meal at this lovely restaurant today. Can't say enough good about it, the food was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. Cute decor inside! My husband's broasted chicken was very tasty. My chicken and sausage jambalaya over pierogies was outstanding and our side dishes equally good. Was taken to table the hostess then mumbled and started to buss the entire table even tho the one next to it was clean and set. Not even a busy breakfast. We stood there baby in on hand and 5 year son waiting. This took her awhile so we all went to use rest rooms after wait so long. I came back sat down then the manager woman walked over and touched my baby on her head I felt trapped in our seats as my baby was in the high chair she almost slipped out the bottom of because the strap was broken off. Stopped in for a late breakfast 9:30 am on a Wed morning. My coffee mug had lipstick on the rim and was visibly stained on the inside, after mentioning this to the waitress she took it away and I got up and roamed over to another empty table and grabbed another upside-down mug. That one, too, was visibly dirty in the inside, as well as the next 7 mugs! Finally the waitress brought me a clean mug, looked freshly wiped with a napkin. I have been here multiple times and this is the first review i'm writing. With a diner's atmosphere and waitresses anywhere from their early 40s to late 50s, this place isn't too shabby. The food is good (i always get their bacon and cheese omelette. delicious!)
