You walk in, and the waitresses just yell " take a seat anywhere" When we selected our booth, we had to wait for our menus. My husband and I ordered 2 coffees, I have 2 over medium eggs with bacon and rye toast. My husband ordered 2 over medium eggs, bacon, home fries and white toast. When we received our order, my toast was wrong , and couldn't even tell our waitress, she never came back to our table to see if we wanted coffee refill ( which we did) and never came to ask if everything was ok. We were waiting for our receipt waitress passes us and put on table then walked away. Then what got us, when we went to pay our check, they told us they only except cash, and had a ATM machine which cost us a $2.50 fee to take cash out. read more

One of the best diners in the area. I come up regularly to the Mahoning Drive-In and this diner is our favorite to go to in the morning for breakfast. They are only open until 2 pm and they serve breakfast all day. Delicious food and great service to boot! read more

This was my first visit to Country View Diner. It was a Saturday at 1:00pm. I took a seat at the counter, following the sit where you want policy. I was greeted by a very chipper staff who engaged with each other with fun banter the whole time. This happened to me at a different restaurant once and they both said the same thing, "You get a dinner and a show." I ordered the Cowboy Burger which came with mushrooms and onions. I also opted for steak fries. I enjoyed my meal while listening to the banter. No television or music to interfere with "the show." Everything was fantastic. I don't have much luck with fries but these were prepared well. When I walked in, I had plans for a Pumpkin Spice cake but there was no room for that. I paid at the window near the entrance/exit and went on my merry way. read more

I finally got in this place the thing is there hours are kind of short 7am to 2pm for a diner thats short im from NJ they never even close over there also its only Wednesday threw Sunday so keep that in mind and that will be a deduction in there score no matter what there reason is for it convenance is a bonus to everyone. Now First arrival parking is good (handicap 2 spots) paved lot and big enough. The place was packed so we waited in front covered area so thats good. Service was Good its a small place country feel good decor atmosphere good all good. The food was affordable breakfast was our time so Omelet with toast now why doesn't it come with bacon? or home fries ? so here is a problem a dish should include a side where i come from toast is not a side. So is that why the prices look good? ...no excuses charge a buck and give me a side with my dish thats a deduction. Menu looked plentiful also food tasted good A short stack of Pancakes is 3 in NJ not 2 yes i know im not in Jersey but they invented Diners so lol.anyway no deduction on that i liked my food tasted good this is a nice little place i would not go here with more than a party of 4 but my rating looks on par with the rest i would take more for there hours a 3.7 is there real score but i will concede to the 4 that is listed on here up top.Now to go to a 5 or over 4 will never happen unless this place expands and is open till at least 9 or10pm for a minimum of 6 days. read more

The best restaurant in Lehighton. We had lunch here and everything was delish. Fresh food cooked to order. No frills but that is part of the charm. I really enjoyed the menu as it had many local items and sides. Very pleasant prices and service! read more

I came to consume food. It was much to my surprise that I became consumed by John Deere. There were retro John Deere barstools, John Deere Ave signs, even John Deere Valentines Day decorations ... and I LOVE IT!!! The food was delicious as well. I would recommend the Farmer's Breakfast. 1st time here. Server was very nice - a young kid who was pleasant, prompt. The prices are reasonable for breakfast. They serve breakfast until 2 pm, open late. Got the farmer's meal - 2 eggs, toast, hash brown or homefries with a short stack of French toast or hot cakes - I chose to upgrade to the oat bran pancakes. I asked for crispy bacon - it didn't come out that way but still fine. The eggs & home-fries were fine - standard fare. The pancakes were fine but the oat bran tasted like plain, regular pancakes to the point I inquired if they really were oat bran or plain. I was assured they were although suspiciously tasted like plain pancakes. Provides the standard table syrup. The rye bread was odd tasting - did not taste like rye bread at all - very unpleasant. The jelly brand they carried was terrible - the strawberry jelly had a medicinal note (menthol almost) and took a lot of coffee to get rid of that taste. So I don't know what the bread and jelly is about but stick to plain toast and no jelly. After the bill came, service dipped off - difficult to get coffee refilled & creamer but when I got a server they were all very nice and helpful. The servers rate highly! They were all very nice. The food was standard fare with some negative oddities. The price point was fair & reasonable but cash only. Can get some good people watching in. Might give it another try. read more

Surprisingly good place for a super-cheap meal with excellent service. We were visiting a relative who lives nearby, and she recommended this place for lunch. The food was solid, and we had a wonderful waitress. The burgers were good and only about $2, the fried chicken was delicious, the fries were fresh and satisfying, the coffee was decent. If you order breakfast after a certain time, they charge an extra dollar. Odd, but at these prices who cares? The total for the 3 of us was under $20. Bonus - clean restrooms! read more

Would have given this Cute Little Diner a Big 4 Star if it weren't for exactly what one reviewer stated:The unfriendliness of the Waitresses...You feel as if you are interrupting their "visit"with regular customers instead of them trying to engage you (potential longterm customers )in conversation. My mom loves this place for its old time feel and great prices. You can tell the regulars hang out and are practically family with the staff. Sometimes I actually feel like we are intruding in a way going in to order, but we've never had any issues. I usually get their salad, and it's pretty large and fills me up. Was surprised to see chopped pickles IN the salad, but it strangely works. Pretty big menu as well. Overall, pleased for the experience. read more

I thought this place was going to be a good little place to stop for lunch but boy was I WRONG!!! First we take our seats, get our menus, and order drinks just to be kicked out of our seats for a larger party who was coming later-?? Then after smashing into a smaller area we order our food and every bit of it was terrible. One bite was all it took or should I say all I could take. Unlike the other review, my experience at this Diner was a disappointment. I dropped in at around 4pm and was promptly seated. I was tempted to go with a breakfast item but was put off by the additional $1 charge because it was past 11am (WTF?) So, I ordered the turkey dinner platter with mashed potatoes and gravy along with a shredded lettuce salad with hot bacon dressing as my side. There's not much you can do to a turkey dinner with the exception of dry turkey perhaps, but this had to be the BLANDEST meal I had ever had in my life. The turkey was real ( not deli meat) but sliced on a deli slicer and covered with a blah gravy. No hint of sage or thyme that is usually used to season a turkey, Seriously, salt and pepper couldn't give this any life. The turkey tasted boiled and the mashed potatoes were, unfortunately, fake. As far as the salad, the hot bacon dressing sounded like it would be fabulous, but it was a white glob mess sitting on top of shredded lettuce. I wasn't prepared that the dressing itself was sweet, yuck. The waitress saw that I didn't touch it and was kind enough to switch it out for the pickled cabbage which was tasty. As far as prices, I wasn't impressed. My dinner was $8.95 and considering that it was lousy, it was money wasted. read more

We really liked this down-home spot, complete with Formica lunch counter. The oat pancakes were excellent - and my wife was shocked I couldn't finish the full 3 stack. She enjoyed her omelette. And the home fries were great. Everything was served right off the griddle and soon after we ordered. Friendly service too. We will definitely stop in again. read more
