This place was good. I had a small pizza, which was easily enough for two people, with chicken, peppers, and onions. The chicken, cheese, and sauce taste like standard food-service style ingredients, but the crust was handmade and good, fluffy on the edges and slightly crunchy throughout. They also get points for being the only open and accessible restaurant within walking distance at 8:30 on a cold Friday night. read more

Mostly a cute hipster place .. fairly thick crust .. I prefer the real thin ones, or the NYC pizzas. & even when I do eat thick crusts like with greek pizzas, they've more flavor & are not as sweet as this. Very o.k. sort of pizza, not sure about all that hype .. guess this' one of the few places the locals got. I've had much better pizzas in other places, & won't be coming back for this. read more

"Oh me, oh my, love that Country Pie." For most people when they think of quaint and small town, they think of some prairie, middle-of-nowhere town in the Midwest. But how wrong could they be, or at least in this case how partially wrong can they be? There is town in Massachusetts, which most of you probably don't even know exists, called Ashfield. Nestled quite cozily in the center of this town is one of the best places, in my heartfelt opinion, to order yourself a "country pie". Otherwise known to all you metaphorical city-slickers as a wonderful and delicious pizza. You can pretty much order your pizza any way you'd like it, no matter the sauce or the toppings you could ever want. Though, I will warn you, they don't do any of that crazy pineapple and bananas stuff, because honestly, who wants that on a pizza? Well I guess some people might, but I'm just saying that I certainly don't, no offense intended to those who do. It's a small place, literally only a third of a whole building, but the atmosphere inside -makes it seem nearly ten times bigger than it really is. It's nestled into such an out of the way place on what is in fact a main road leading through the middle of Ashfield, but the rural style of the town makes it seem small and insignificant. Then of course there are the people who are the more frequent customers of this wondrous joint, most of them tending to be locals who go there for good company and excellent food. Occasionally Country Pie is graced with the presence of a wandering stranger, who stops in on the off chance, taking notice of the signs claiming the promise of delicious pizza. But it is not straight pizzas that Country Pie can offer the pallet, but an assortment of other foods, though they are all rather well intertwined. You have your classic, add whatever toppings you want type of pizza, then there are the specials, including the Pesto Pizza and the House Special. In addition you have an assortment of grinders, ranging from Chicken Parmesan to a classical Meatball. Then you have your sandwich wraps, which are aimed towards a more summery crowd, in addition to a variety of fresh salads to balance out the heaviness of pizza and grinders. But then, my personal favorite, are the giant sized cookies and chocolaty brownies, which are a craving for any childish sweet tooth. My particular favorite is the M&M Chocolate Chip Cookie, which is large enough to be half a meal in and of itself. Country Pie may be a rather small eatery, but nonetheless it is a good one and definitely a place where you could bring just about anyone, be it your grandparents, your parents, your friends, even a possible girlfriend/boyfriend. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, almost like you were stepping into your own kitchen to make a meal. The cooking staff are just your normal people just like you and me, knowing that you're there to eat their food and that how you feel about them reflects on themselves as people. It's a place for relaxation and good food, nothing more and nothing less. read more

Love this Pizza .....Everything was fresh loved the thin crust, can appreciate it that they use real cheese on the Pizza and the fresh vegetables. There where so many toppings to choose from could not make up my mind which ones to pick. Was able to see four fresh Pizza slices already made. I choose to have a hot slice of Tomato, Spinach, and Feta cheese YUMMY.....Would also like to add that I had a bowl of Shrimp soup, it was awesome, to top it off and end my dining experience I had some Homemade Delicious Apple Crisp. Friendly staff, and the atmosphere was warm and quant. I will frequent this Cute Country Pie Pizza in the near future. Next time I will Have the Hawaiian pizza. or the Broccoli with Bacon Pizza. I would rather have Elio's frozen pizza than this warmed-over garbage. if you enjoy pizza that falls apart when you attempt to eat it then this is the place for you. My one slice of pizza had enough sauce on it to sauce 6 whole pizzas. if there was an option to give zero stars I would have. read more

Grew up on this pizza and I gotta say, I just don't really understand the appeal. Yes it's good for a pizza place in the middle of nowhere, it's better than average, and is very cute inside, but there are much better pizza restaurants in Western Mass. read more
