Unfortunately the store is at 27 W., 195 Geneva Rd., which gets you to completely different location. The owner tried to tell me it's Apple Maps fault even though the address was incorrect. On top of it the company does not have a country farm bagels in their name, which is very confusing only the name bagels. This place has been on our radar to try forever. It was a yelp suggestion awhile ago. I am sad it took us so long, I couldn't have loved it more. A charming little place tucked in a strip mall. Very pleasant and friendly service, that you felt when you walk in. They have more than just bagels, they have a good size sandwich list of both lunch and Breakfast, plus amazing bagel chips and great looking cream cheeses. We went a like crazy, a dozen bagels, 2 sandwiches, bagel chips and 2 different cream cheeses. Fist off the Bagels, nice large selection that include unique things I have never seen before, I love Egg Bagels that theirs are amazing. The cream cheeses were as good as or better than any I have had, we got the regular and chive. The sandwiches were just awesome, if they did nothing but the sandwiches they would still be great. The only thing was I hoped that they included bagel chips as a side instead of the bagged chips. But I am happy to rectify that and buy my own. The chips were as good as the bagels themselves. Fresh bagels, so many choices, so little time. I had the lox sandwich on an everything bagel for myself and bought a cinnamon raisin bagel toasted with strawberry cream cheese for my wife. Sandwich was great will and egg next time. While the cinnamon raisin bagel with awesome strawberry cream cheese was a nice combo. Will def go back and try another bagel combo. My wife and I got here just before they were set to close on a Saturday. Fortunately, we were still served well--although it took me a little while to sort out their menu, and some suggestions would have been nice. Nonetheless I've made it a point to come back here for bagels in the future. I had a tuna melt on a poppy seed bagel (as suggested), and really liked it. The tuna salad was nice and creamy. Not fishy. The bagels had a nice chew to them and were perfectly made. Overall, I was pleased. My wife had a wheat bagel with, I believe, cheese and bacon cream cheese. Same texture as my bagel, but there's a reason the cream cheese is front and center in their display. It was fantastic, a blend of two flavors you don't expect in cream cheese but still a great example of how to do a savory spread. The cream cheese even tasted good warm! On the way out I grabbed a bag of garlic-herb bagel chips, which were covered in herbs and toasted garlic. The bagel chips were the right size and thickness (about 1/8 inch; still quite crunchy) but I really liked how the bitterness of the garlic lingered in my mouth with every chip. Recently started working at CDH in winfield, and so excited to find excellent little places to snack near the hospital. I'm from the Elgin area and dependent on Yelp to steer me to the most delicious local places to eat. The great reviews for County Farm Bagels were spot on. Ordered a cheddar oregano bagel with ham, egg and provolone cheese (and added chipotle sauce thanks to fellow Yelp reviewer suggestions). I ate that sandwich like it was my job. You know how it feels when the food is so damn hot but so damn good you don't even care if you burn your tongue? The bagel was crispy and chewy, the cheese and chipotle sauce were melting all over the bagel and right onto my fingers. I'm so glad they open at 6 am, I can't wait to stop in right before work! After living in Wheaton for 14 years and working near CFB for almost two, I had never once been here. However, after seeing Katie L.'s review mentioning the Cheddar Jalapeno bagel, I was sold. Normally a trip to this area from my area of Naperville takes about 10-15 minutes, tops. However, I made the trip today as the snow was picking up its pace and needless to say, I took me about 40. But, I was bound and determined to pick up a half dozen bagels. From the outside, the storefront is rather boring, which is honestly part of the reason I never stopped by. I don't need a big flashy sign or anything to lure me into a joint, but CFB blends in with all the other shops in this plaza, therefore the allure factor is nil. Inside is quite a different story, though. The interior was small and cozy. It was warm and smelled devine inside. I picked up a paper menu and browsed through, but then noticed the bagel I was after was behind the counter. So I squinted and leaned over the counter to read all the other options, which was probably hilarious to the cashier. (Yes, I have glasses and no I don't wear them all the time like I should, and I ran out of contacts about 4 years ago. I know I'm stubborn and cheap but contacts are a luxury item these days). I finally decided on 2 Jalapeno Cheddars, 1 Vegetable, 1 Cheddar Oregano, 1 All Season, and one Parmesan bagel. The total came out to a little over $7. I paid and waddled my way back to my car (hey, the parking lot hadn't been plowed and it was slippery). I inspected my purchase and was impressed. The bagels were hot. Not warm, not barely room temperature- fresh outta the oven HOT. So hot that the inside of my car windows steamed up. I took a bite of the Jalapeno Cheddar and was blown away. There's cheddar cheese on the inside of the bagel, which was warm and slighty gooey. The jalapenos gave the bagel just the perfect kick to compliment the cheese. As for the bagel itself, it was a beautifully soft and chewy delight. They have a wide selection of flavors of cream cheese; from your standard plain and vegetable to delicious sounding cheddar bacon, salsa, chocolate chip, and olive pimento. Unfortunately, I cannot eat cream cheese so I didn't purchase any. CFB also has soups, salads, wraps, and gourmet deli sandwiches. I'm so sad to learn that now; had I know this a few years ago when I worked down the street, I would have been here a few times a week. I'm so thrilled to have found a place with great bagels. I used to like Einstein's way back when they had sun-dried tomato bagels. Of course they no longer carry that kind so I rarely eat bagels anymore, save for the occasional "everything" or sesame bagel. I will gladly come here and pay a bit more for a bagel that's fresh, hot, and chewy as opposed to DD's or Einstein's "barely warm but once we toast it you won't know the difference" bagel. read more

The bagels are outstanding! Very fresh, great flavors and just the right amount of chewiness and soft interior. The cream cheeses were very good as well. The place was hopping when my colleague and I were there, which is a great sign. I was born and grew up in New Jersey and we travel to NJ and NY for business so I know good bagels. I commented to my colleague that the place reminds me of several bagel shops in NJ a d so did the bagels. Will definitely be back! read more

I just unsubscribed from Einstein Bagel's email list. Seriously. I never need to go there again, considering this magical establishment is just down the street. I'm sorry for every meal I've wasted having bagels from anywhere other than here. Everything I've had has been delicious, especially the turkey club (I tried it on an egg bagel, no cheese). The spreads are very interesting...it was my first time having cheddar and bacon cream cheese. I got my inspiration from Aimee M, so look to her review for magical pairings (scallion cream cheese on garlic bagel mmm). The shop is very small, but I appreciate that there is one high chair. My chief issue, and the reason for four stars instead of five, is the coffee. It's gas station coffee. Green Mountain is the brand, I think? Terrible. County Farm Bagels is definitely my favorite local, independent bagel shop! They have a small storefront in the shopping center on the southwest corner of County Farm & Geneva Roads, but they are putting out big flavors here! I usually visit on Sunday mornings which seems to be their busiest time. I'm okay with that as the hot, fresh bagels just keep coming out of the back. No joke, half of my bagels don't even make it off the tray before they are placed in my to-go bag. Our favorites include the chocolate chip, blueberry, sesame, French toast, an apple variety and even the plain bagel. My son enjoys their bagel sandwiches. He usually goes with a plain bagel, muenster cheese, egg, sausage and bacon - it's a mouthful! I love that they have plenty of options to choose from. There are a few tables inside and a couple more right outside. I could see sitting down to enjoy my bagel when they are slower, but it's too busy, so I dig deep for self control and wait until I get home to indulge. The wait isn't bad at all because most people are grabbing a half dozen or so to go. My only complaint is that they are not on my way to work in the morning, so I can only visit on the weekends. read more

I've been coming here for years and luckily I live near both locations. (One in Winfield and Wheaton) This is a mom and pap run business and that's what makes it so amazing. The fact that it's not a franchise, and they make everything fresh themselves is a huge plus. They offer such a wide variety of different bagels, cream cheeses, and toppings. The customizations are endless. The service is top notch. 5 out of 5. They are attentive and make sure you get what you ordered. They are just the sweetest family and truely are diligent. At one point, I had my kids in the car one morning. I called in an order. I came in to pay, but they didn't have my order ready yet so they said they would bring everything out to my car so I wouldn't have to get out with the kids again. Which is a step far and beyond what they do. The food is 5 out of 5. My favorite is the lox. On a toasted white plain bagel, with scallion cream cheese and capers. I also really like the bagelwich, sausage, egg, and cheese. Soooo filling. I leave the other half for lunch. Also a 5 out of 5. So glad there is a cool bagel shop in the burbs.
