We split a corner beef sandwich. She separated it into two baskets for us too.

We were in the area, every time you drive by we say we're going to stop in but we're never really hungry at that time. Today was the day! The sandwiches are huge, my husband and I split a corned beef sandwich. If your hungry this is the place to get a sandwich! The ingredients were fresh and delicious. There was a slight bitter after taste reminds me of green olives. It was really yummy and I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. There is a gaming area too. Perfect place to have dinner and gamble. We will be back again. Definitely worth the money. The dining room was very clean and they even have a fountain drink machine. There are six tables for dine in.

Best corned beef I've had in awhile. It's a no frills place but the menu is solid. So are the sandwiches. I had the corned beef/ pastrami combo. It comes with house made chips and a large pickle spear. They also have hot dogs and Italian beefs. Half the space is for slots and gambling if you're into that. My only gripe was a gambler nearby was vaping and I hate the smell of that junk.

    Great food

My 2nd time here. Jose was our cook and server. He did an outstanding job with our special order. We had our uncle in from Houston. We told him we had a great corned beef restaurant to take him to . It didn't disappoint at all

This is a review for the new Carol Stream location. This was a very different experience throughout the whole process so bare with me. First, I want to give a shout out to Brian (manager) and his wife Jennifer who I believe opened this location. Fantastic over the top service 5 for them, whatever they are making is not enough, they deserve a huge pay increase and bonuses. They are the reason for giving the place a 4 review. The information on the internet is very confusing. Some engines tell you that the place is close, other give a closing hour of 7pm and their website only has the Chicago location. So I call the number on Google, a 312 area code, to see if they were open. The man who answered the phone, I believe is one of the owners, was a bit rude. When I asked if that's was the Carol Stream location he answered "am I not answering the phone?" For which i responded that it is a Chicago area code and I'm inquiring about the suburbs, again he responded with dismissive sarcasm. Once I confirm that the location is open I made plans to get dinner there at 6 pm (closing time listed on search engines is 7 pm). When we got there the place was closed. disappointing. Here is we're Brian stepped up, open the door for us, explained knowing that the information is incorrect, and offer to make a couple of sandwiches. Since they were truly closed we had only 3 choices. We decided on one Ruben and one Corned beef. Brian and Jennifer were very nice to us, gladly providing service, friendly, and upbeat attitude. Now the review of the sandwiches: 3 Good compared to what we like. We got our best Ruben's, Pastrami's, Corned Beef, and Chicken Salad sandwiches at Mort's Deli or The Belden Deli - the old one. Pickles slices were limp. Homemade potato chips crispy, tasty, and not that salty - excellent I think that with time, and ironing a few wrinkles, this place will be a great addition to our neighborhood.

Great spot for a quick piled high Ruben and slots. Big fan of their 1000 island. Simple homade chips

I split the Tom & Jerry, which is half pastrami, half corned beef and there is a 1/2 lb of meat on one sandwich.

Maybe it was just a bad day for them today, but it was less than expected. Went with my wife and son for lunch. The young lady at the counter seemed to be having a bad day, at least I hope she was, because if she's like that every day, she shouldn't be working there. She had attitude and was short with us. It wasn't anything she said, but rather, the abruptness with her questions and overall demeanor. If we ordered anything on the side, or asked for something different than what usually comes on a sandwich, she huffed and eye rolled us. It didn't make us feel very welcome. We got a number and sat down and waited. When our food arrived, we were short one soda and a side of vinegar and oil. No worries there. I was taken back a little that we were charged 50 cents for water, $2.50 for one slice of Gouda cheese, and 50 cents for an oil and vinegar cup. There is also a 3% charge for using a credit card. The actual food was better before. My combo sandwich was somewhat bland. I remember the hot dog being bigger before. It went from a deli hot dog to a regular sized one. My wife thought the turkey burger was bigger before as well. Overall, I remember it being more flavorful in the past. My potato salad was still very good. The cannoli pieces were outstanding. The place was fairly crowded being Mother's Day, and the service was pretty quick. Turkey burgers take a while to cook. It's always lively but quiet in the restaurant which I like. I hope this was a one time dud experience, and I will be back, unless the cashier has another bad day, and the food is lacking taste.

Fair amount of seating and a cute outdoor patio out back. This is the place that has ruined me from going to other Delis. Nobody stacks up to this place when it comes to food quality and portions. Even fancy places that charge twice as much don't hold a candle. Quality non fatty meats, Homemade soups, homemade Italian dressing. delicious soft fresh breads, always super fresh veggie toppings and salads, Huge portions, and extremely fair price. The homemade desserts are to die for and often sell out early because they are just that good. The owner herself is always there making the sandwiches personally so you know they get made with care every time. Honestly this Deli blows every other deli out the water hands down. The only drawback is very limited days and hours open. You kinda gotta plan your visit with timed intent, but catching them open makes the visit feel special because it's SOOOO Good & you're guaranteed to leave feeling like you got more than your moneys worth and making notes on when they are open next again because you'll want to bring a friend to impress. He already looked like he was in a bad mood. I commented on the gambling machines that were inside the restaurant and he made a snarky comment about where was I from that this is unusual. I let him know I was from out of state. I then asked for recommendations. He said the breaded steak sandwich is popular. I was feeling more like Italian beef, which is what I ordered. Even though I ordered the sandwich, wet, the beef came out dry, and had three pieces of green pepper on it. I don't know if I have ever had just green pepper on an Italian beef sandwich before. There was nothing extraordinary about the sandwich. Shaved beef on a bun. That's it. As basic as it gets. It was lacking any type of flavor, so I tried to dress it up with salt and pepper, which only helped marginally. I sat down at a table, not more than 15 feet away from where the owner was leaning against the counter. Not once did he check in with me to see if I enjoyed the food. I was still the only customer. I think, even if I really enjoyed the food, which I did not, I would not return to this restaurant based on the attitude of the owner alone. He does not know how to run a business, much less make Italian food.
