You can't go wrong with good diner food, the service was quick and attentive. I had a breakfast with the works and my dad had the grits. I loved the steak fries and good coffee. It was a rainy day so not too crowded, thy had clean bathrooms and the waiter passed around twice after our meal came to check on us. I have no complains. Good food. Good service. On a busy day parking can be a bit of a pain but if you're patient you can find a spot. I will definitely come back for a try at the pancakes. Nice deli/diner in the heart of the BX. This spot I can only imagine gets crowded since it right in walking distance in the busiest locations in the Bronx. Yankee stadium, court house surround this place. My wife and I ate here and we truly enjoyed our experience. First off you seat yourself(first thought of mine is that the waitress will not see us and of purse we would be waiting long) but, this was not the case. We were promptly attended to and greeted. I ordered scrambled eggs w/ cheese on top, bacon and well done home fries. My wife ordered a waffle with eggs and ham. I must say that the food tastes great. My home fries were delicious!!! The flavor was so good that I really didn't want to share them with my wife lol. I defiantly would come back to this place and recommend it to anyone in the area or passing by and you are hungry. I expected to be dodging bullets while around this area of the South Bronx, but I was pleasantly surprised. I was actually looking for a place to sit for about an hour before my court appearance and looked at many places in the area. The McDonald's was too crowded, the other venues seemed to be dangerous, but this place got an A from New York City. It also had people in suits inside, so I decided to go with this one. Food: the whole wheat bread must have been sitting around for a while - not fresh. The two eggs with bacon and potatoes were okay. The coffee tasted surprisingly good! I was served orange juice in a tiny plastic cup that looked the same as the one my doctor uses when he asks me to urinate in it. I actually drank from this cup. I am forever scarred. Found Court Deli when I was hungry on YELP. If you need to pick up takeout quickly and efficiently, this is one of the fastest and most efficient delis in New York. Called in for a film prep crew breakfast. 17 sandwiches, a coffee traveler, several cartons of OJ and $119 later, I'm walking back with all of this in under 15 minutes. I think machines are running the asylum here, and I enjoy it very much. Came back two more times that day, for more crew members and for my lunch. Thanks again, Yelp, and Court Deli. Crispy buttered pan fried rye bread with a heaping amount of corned beef ozzing Swiss and mild krout. Yeouser, fantastic! The chicken avocado sandwich was also a healthier good choice. Get them with a Dr Browns soda. Yum. But don't waste time on desert, nothing special in that department. Nice friendly help, and lots of fans to chat with. GO THERE, but get there early. It was deeeeeeelicious. It was so tender it practically fell apart in your mouth. I might have eaten a week's worth of cholesterol, but it was well worth it. I want to preface this review by saying that I've used Yelp for years and have never had an experience good or bad enough to feel compelled to sit down and write about. I'm pleased to say that the Court Deli changed that for me. I was in town helping my sister move out of her apartment and at the end of an exhausting day of packing and shipping, we stumbled upon this humble mecca just outside Yankee stadium. The grilled chicken sandwich I ordered was exactly what I hoped for but it was easily one upped by the side of disco fries. Unbelievable. On top of the very solid food all of the wait staff was very friendly and I'm very sad that I live across the country so I can't go back sooner. My ONLY complaint is that I asked if I could speak with the owner to thank him for providing such an enjoyable experience in the midst of this pandemic and the waitress let me know that he wouldn't leave the basement. The half-sandwich and a bowl of soup is huge (the sandwich portion is a full two slices of bread with a normal amount of meat compared to the overstuffed full-size sandwich on the menu). Great customer service and friendly wait-staff. Go during off hours and you'll be fine. If you go on game day or during court lunch hours, you're not going to have the best experience. They stock Cel-Ray in the fridge to go along with your pastrami and corned beef sandwich. read more

The sit in service is great but my biggest disappointment is the Hispanic male who answers the phone everyday he never gives me a chance to finish my order without putting me on hold he's so rude and over charged me for some food so I canceled the order and went to sit inside the restaurant and I wound up paying way cheaper and didn't have to deal with him so it was worth it the guy that takes the calls is beyond rude and if the food wasn't amazing I wouldn't even deal with this restaurant you guys should consider putting someone else to answer the calls someone more professional and kind with patience read more
