Traveling in Michigan per week stayed here one night for our calls locally and really glad we did. What a great staff, clean hotel, clean lobby actually quite big.!! We were looking for a place near our customers, location, and found this location, which is actually centered around a Middle Eastern area with great restaurants from Yemen, Iran, Greek you name it. The food around here is spectacular! The hotel staff was spot on, I think the front desk girl was Eva who helped us out from an initial room that smelled a little musty to get us a new room closer together so we could work even walk us a new key so we didn't have to walk back to the front desk. Breakfast and coffee in the morning was spot on, allowing us to work out of the lobby for a couple hours before hitting the road. For me, I look for clean beds, clean bathroom and was very pleased with my room and the condition of the hotel. Will certainly be coming back next time. I'm in town.!!! highly recommend!!! read more

We had a stay at Marriott Courtyard on Mercury Dr in Dearborn Mich due to a death in the family. All we needed is a place to shower and rest. The carpet was filthy dirty, heat didn't work properly and it was freezing, toilet leaking and mold in bath tub. The maid did not change dirty sheets nor did she leave another hand soap. I used 43,000 Marriott points for 2 days March 5 & 6 and paid for the other 2 days March 7&8.GM Maria Wyatt offered as a gesture of goodwill, 17,500 points back to my Bonvoy account. She wouldn't return any more of my points or money because I didn't complain enough while I was there. I told her I came to bury my uncle and I we were running around all day to get things done. Given they charge almost $200 a night this hotel is not that good. The public spaces and rooms are decent but there are a number of issues. First the bathroom is tiny, out of date, and has awful water pressure in both the sink and shower. Also the only elevator is at the far back corner of the building super far from most rooms. What kind of hotel (not motel) with two floors or more has one elevator? Sad. I have never understood the value proposition of the Courtyard brand - you pay much more for the same room as a Fairfield Inn without the breakfast. read more

Thin toilet paper. Low flush toilet. Weird bathroom light placement (outside of bathroom). TV to the side of the bed instead of in front. Took an hour to get food, which is super expensive. Not very many outlets. No roof to the closet. Bad curtains. Bad soap too. Water in room costed money. This only gets 2 stars because the employees were polite and the bed was comfortable. read more

Myself and several family members stayed here for a few nights. We had a total of three rooms and no one had any complaints. This is definitely an older property that has been remodeled but it looks fine. When looking at the hotels in the area, this appeared to have been the best option. The location is really good. Dearborn is a super cute town with great eating options, so everything was a quick drive. The staff were nice and super helpful. We did have to wait for an extended time to get our rooms. Granted, we arrived a bit early and they were trying to give us rooms close together...so that was appreciated. read more

The staff is very friendly here but the hotel has problems. The pro stuff first - comfy beds, internet works good, great pillows and the hot tub was awesome. The con stuff - to get the room warm you need to turn the temperature up to 80! (Seriously), the halls, stairwells and elevator are freezing cold, the pool area is completely unsupervised and there were about 20 kids running around the pool and hot tub with no adults and no staff responded to the issue, no free breakfast, the noise from the halls and the other rooms is an issue, and the water pressure in the bathroom wasn't very good. read more

I can't believe the tall "sassy" gentleman allowed me to wait at the counter while he played on his phone in the lobby I was finally greeted and said ok no problem I asked if I could switch the name on the reservation and he only said no because it's a government discount I told him I had NO problem waiting He then offered me the option of checking in on the phone/app So I relayed this information for the person who's name is reserved The app allowed them to check in and gave a confirmation number He rudely interjected as I went to another agent and asked if it shows in the system he interrupted me while I was talking to her accusing me that I was lying about the ETA of the reserved party and I mentioned exactly what was said to him ... I'm not sure why this was such a rude interaction but I don't deserve it this is the first time of me being here definitely not new to the courtyard I need someone to answer for this this is absolutely unacceptable 0/10 would not recommend read more

WE stayed there for August 10-15. During this time there were cleaning the carpets and upholstery, They cleaned our room when we were staying in it. The carpet was soaking wet and so was the couch. All the moisture made the room very uncomfortable. They gave me extra towels to put on the floor and couch, but it didn't help much. The desk clerk credited us $25.00 upon checkout. Not enough!! Will never stay here again and be treated this way. read more

Overall, the hotel was nice and we enjoyed having been upgraded to a King Suite due to our Marriott Gold Elite status. The hotel was nice and looked to have been updated within the past few years. Our room though, was not clean. In the bedroom we found a bobby pin and a staple on the floor. Fortunately, we spotted these before our 13 month old son started running around which would have been problematic. The bathroom was not clean. We were so exhausted from the trip we used Lysol and Lysol wipes to properly wipe down the tub and spray the floors. There were also hairs around the base of the toilet and on the tub, which indicated the floor had not been mopped. At check-in, the nice manager did her best to tell us a little about the hotel but her voice was gone. We weren't asked if we wanted bonus points for our stay, nor did we receive our Make A Green Choice bonus points. Last thing, our room was located at the end of a long hall and apparently right next to the housekeeping supply room. Every time we came or left the room we had to dodge housekeeping carts that were left in the hallway between our room and the entrance for Door 4. Overall, it was a decent hotel and it's located less than a mile away from my Father-in-Law's place so it's convenient, but the cleanliness left much to be desired. read more

I usually am a big fan of Marriot properties, but this one was horrible! I stayed at this hotel with several others (in different rooms). First, we had pre-payed the room and they didn't reconcile this. I can't really hold it against them, but they didn't make any attempts to rectify this at all and were basically like you will pay again and thats it...whomp whomp. We discovered in our room that our light was out in the bathroom. We called the front desk and was told maintence was not going to be back till the next day so they expected us to shower in the dark...i had to push a bit and they finally sent someone up who started climbing on the toilet to try to figure out how to change a light bulb...it was strange. We discovered our phone was not hooked up either so we were unable to even call from our room. The walls are so think and there was a gab under the door. The first night we had a huge party on our floor that multiple people in our group called on and they did nothing. needless to say, we did not get much sleep. I was so disappointed that the hotel did nothing to rectify the issue. The following night we had a family in the room next to us, and you could hear them screaming and crying since the walls were soo thin. I am really wishing I had stayed somewhere else. read more

This is a really nice hotel. All the interactions I had with people working was very pleasant and everyone was really helpful. It's a big plus that they have Starbucks coffee onsite. The restaurant is decent, a little small so the selection of dishes isn't great. I wish breakfast was included but I don't think it typically is at Marriott Courtyard hotel's. The room was good, it has a good desk if you need to work and the internet speed was really good. I didn't even need to upgrade to the higher speeds, I was still able to work and stream video at the same time. The bed was comfortable, I slept good and I didn't hear much noise from other rooms. I'm not sure if I was lucky or if the rooms are well insulated. read more

This Courtyard has a lot of good and a lot of meh. Before I get into specifics, let me just say that every staff member I've come in contact with has been 5 stars. So that's saying a whole lot. Let's start with the meh: -The walls are thin, and I could hear my neighbor's phone ringing clear as day (for their 6am wakeup call). Why wakeup calls still exist is beyond me, but let's park that issue for a different day. -The shower and toiletries are pretty basic (same goes with the coffee accoutrements) -They purport (on elevator advertisement) that you can get food delivered to your room but the actual phone in my room never connected with the restaurant (and rang eventually to a recorded message with the front desk) -Room cleanliness was ok overall...the shower could have used more scrubbing -Room temps are all over the place and while you can control from the wall unit, it took a long time to regulate -The elevator is in the opposite corner of the lobby, so prepare to walk a bit to go up and down! And onto the good: -The have a sweet little courtyard that rooms with a balcony can look out to -The aforementioned staff were great - from Marshall at the front desk to the lovely women who made my late night flat bread -Bed was fairly comfy -Internet is fast and free -The lobby hosts a cute bar and kitchenette area to order a variety of eats Overall, it's a basic hotel with great service. A few tweaks in the offerings area and this Courtyard would be much preferred! read more

The staff at this hotel are nothing short of amazing. So incredibly helpful, friendly, and kind. We had to book a room last minute due to disrupted travel at DTW and they were beyond accommodating and understanding, as we switched back and forth many times between needing a second night and not needing a second night as our updated travel plans constantly evolved. They turned a stressful event into a comforting and relaxing experience. We also had really delicious breakfast sandwiches there! read more

My family has had a great experience at this hotel. Not being from Michigan it was difficult to pick a hotel. Because my brother was going to be working nearby we wanted reasonable accommodations for a reasonable price. We were wow'd with the customer service we received. Whether it was being greeted by Regina with barbeque chicken wings or having a friendly ear to listen to the days events, I am impressed with the extra mile in customer service. Going forward, the excellent service provided by each of Regina, Jasmine, Darlene, Elizabeth, Isiah, Martel have made this the only hotel I will stay at in Dearborn. This is obviously the result of excellent management. Equally noteworthy, is the fantastic food and spirits. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms makes this a worthwhile stay. read more

I liked this place. My room was bigger than average and clean. The front desk folks were friendly and helpful. The location was convenient (from a certain POV - you can't walk anywhere, really, but well-positioned for driving to different areas). They were doing some remodeling when I was there and adding a little restaurant and Starbucks in the lobby, which is a nice perk. Though I often stay in hotels that don't have a restaurant, bar or coffee shop, it's always nice when they do. I'd stay here again. read more

One of my first times in a Courtyard, so some of this may be standard to the chain but I'm impressed. First night here and a few things really stand out: FAST internet, great food at the lobby bistro, and very friendly staff. Internet: 10 ms ping, 35 Mbps down / 17 Mbps up - that's insane and its free! Food: Interesting and tasty choices at the lobby bar/restaurant/bistro thing. I had a Chicken Cibatta and it was tasty. It came with a choice of two sides and cost less than $10. This was better than Subway by far and a good step up from Jimmy John's too. Staff: They've gone out of their way to make me happy and feel cared for. The room is good too; spacious, plenty of outlets, big TV, and a refridgerator. BTW: The renovation spoken of in other reviews is clearly complete. The lobby and my 1st floor room are very freshly remodeled. read more

Very clean hotel with an indoor pool that has a nice view of and access to a courtyard. The bathrooms in the rooms could use an update. We paid for the breakfast included up grade and we're thrilled we did. This was not your typical hotel lobby buffet. Breakfast was made fresh to order with both simple and more sophisticated choices. This courtyard is literally identical to the Courtyard in Troy Michigan. Though, many Courtyards are basically the same. This courtyard is also nice, has some decent eating options within a mile radius. I got a nice room upgrade and the staff has been friendly so far. No complaints yet, except, as I have described earlier, I dock all Michigan establishments one star for their idiotic street designs and their "Michigan Left" crap. Super annoying. I haven't been to this hotel yet, but tried to book it over the phone and they have the worst customer service ever. The guy was rude and did not make any effort to help. He hung up on me, and when I called again to speak to the manager he denied it and told me to call in the morning. This is not how customer service should look like. That was A Dearborn location. Their main booking line was not better, the lady this time ignored my concerns as well. They will not see me as a customer, that is for sure read more

I enjoy staying at Courtyard Marriott hotels. Friendly staff, knowledgeable and can carry a conversation. I had a couple problems with the room though... found a small piece of glass on the floor (which I had stepped on... thankfully didnt get cut by it), dark hairs on the floor.. arent my hairs because I have blonde hair, and I used a face cloth to wash my face with and there was some make up on it. I left it on the floor so the cleaners could take it and when I went to shower the next time, that same face cloth had been folded nicely and put back on the rack... so makes me wonder how clean the other towels were...? Would I stay at this particular hotel? Not sure to be honest. read more

I spent a week here for work. The room itself was pretty average. I appreciated having a fridge and my second floor balcony was nice to get some fresh air after a long work day. Ironically the bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in, but after working 14 hour days any bed would probably feel glorious. There was no hair dryer in the bathroom, so I'm glad I brought mine. Elevators were difficult to access and outdoor entry points could have been a little more lit. I can't comment on the wi-fi because I didn't use it. 24 hour Starbucks in the lobby is a nice amenity, but I never made it there either. Staff members were courteous when I had an issue with my room key. Overall I wouldn't mind staying here again for work, but this place doesn't have enough amenities to be my choice for a getaway. read more

The hotel is nice and clean. The room I was in had the usual wear for a hotel it's age, but I was really looking for this issues. I had plenty of towels , soaps and tissues and the bed linens were clean and soft. The TV had great digital signal accept for a few of the upper channels. Every single staff member from cleaning staff to the managers were very friendly, always had a smile and something nice to say. They went above and beyond from what I expected Food: "The Bistro" I actually didn't expect the food quality I received. I was actually blown away, I had a sandwich and wow, it was good And the breakfast sandwich I had the next morning was really good. It was made right there and it hilt the table in front of me steaming hot. They had a small interior pool that also included handy cap lift systems to assist those that needed it into and out of the pool. I've never seen that before! Very cool. Checked in for business. I came back from the hospital and no one had cleaned my room. The front desk employee offered to clean it if she could find someone to cover for her. I told her I didn't need her to do it and the person who's job it is would need to clean the room. I cleaned myself and asked for the manager to call me the next day. She didn't. She said she didn't have my phone number evening though I'm platinum and gave it to them again when I checked in. Needless to say I checked out and now I'm back at the hotel waiting for them to reverse an 1100 dollar illegal charge on my credit card. Traveller beware. read more

I'm trying to do an expense report for my boss. There is a reference code and a charge next to it. I called Marriott and got "customer service" and the guy tells me I don't have enough information about the bill (since I'm a third party) to get that information. Their "privacy concerns." I'm only holding the bill in my hand and my boss is sitting across from me. They wanted my boss to call customer service--a busy lawyer. I don't think so. That's what secretaries are for. Ordinarily I give Marriott a huge thumbs up. This hotel is very nice - room was great and the location was wonderful. What I hated was the fact there is only one elevator in the building. It's shaped like a "U" and the elevator is located at one end. So if you happen to be on the opposite side you have to walk the entire floor to get to the elevator. Plus if you park wrong well then you have to walk even more. Now I am not against walking but when you are dragging an overweight suitcase with spinning wheels on a carpet it's like slogging thru mud. The check in person apologized for the lack of elevators saying it was an older hotel. So the best thing to do is pick your room out early using the ap (which I didn't do) and choose one close the elevator and then find the exterior door nearest the elevator and you should be good to go. There is no free breakfast set up - which usually the hotels have - which was a bummer. They have sandwiches and stuff you can buy in the Bistro and have made but they took almost 15 minutes to get a breakfast burrito. I tried calling down early to order it for pickup but they kept me on hold for a long time and I just hung up. read more
