Fantastic place to stay. If you are in Seattle for business or for vacation definitely considering staying here. It's about a 20-30 minute drive to downtown Seattle but the rates are incredibly reasonable and it has everything you could ask for in a top notch hotel. The rooms are incredibly clean and the hotel maids are excellent at keeping it that way. I honestly wouldn't mind just lounging around in the hotel room for a full day because the ambiance of the room just makes you want to nap. My favorite part of the hotel is the first floor lobby where they serve breakfast and dinner along with Starbucks. They also have plenty of seating where there are outlets and TV monitors so you can work on your laptop or watch TV while enjoying breakfast. In terms of the food, it's overpriced (but that shouldn't come as a surprise). For breakfast they have your classic breakfast plate (eggs, potatoes, toast and sausage/bacon) but for $10 I expected something that tasted better. I was thoroughly disappointed when I received a tiny serving of scrambled eggs, 2 greasy hashbrowns and some greasy sausage patties. Therefore I recommend you buy breakfast elsewhere or stick to pastries and coffee. They also have a fitness room which is almost always empty and there are only 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, 1 stationary bicycle and a couple dumbbells. It's not a state-of-the-art gym but considering that no one works out on vacation or business trips it would have been silly for the hotel to invest money in a larger fitness room. All in all I think this is a great affordable place to stay. It's relaxing and has all the basic amenities you expect from a hotel. This is a great place to stay. We arrived early as we had a funeral to attend and they were able to find us a room before check in time. Zoe was great at the front desk. All the staff was great. Friendly and helpful. We ate several meals there. Good food and drinks. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Caroline made us martinis and had a great personality. So great staff and rooms very nice. Good location too. Had a microwave and refrigerator. Indoor pool and nice patio to sit outside. WARNING: We got a parking ticket. They share a lot with a business. Need better signage. The $40 ticket as we were leaving was not nice to find on the windshield. read more

Nice hotel in a very convenient location - right near the 405 and across the street from Olive Garden, QFC (Quality Foods Center - a chain supermarket), Subway, and a bunch of other places. Within minutes of walking distance, there's Indian, Italian, Mexican, and Thai food available...not to mention fast food. Oh, and I must mention the Value Village Discount store...which btw is also within walking distance, and has a good collection of books at a very cheap price (among other things). For the great location I give this place +2 stars. Service is also friendly and helpful - the front desk folks were great with the check-in and check-out, and even willingly held on a bag for me for safe-keeping over the weekend- as I'm a recurring weekly guest at this hotel. One time they even gave me ziploc bags upon request, and a pair of scissors to borrow (darn airport security won't allow scissors to make it through, and I'm far too lazy to bother to check it in). As for the room, it has always been clean, restocked with bar soap on a daily basis, and with the beds made with fresh sheets. +2 stars Microwave and fridge in room. Complimentary tea and coffee almost around the clock. Small fitness center, pool, and other regular hotel services (e.g. room service, laundry/dry cleaning, etc). No need to say any more. +1 star Also, as far as a choice of hotels, this one is the cheaper option. That said, no complimentary breakfast here (unless perhaps you have a certain Marriott Rewards Status, which I can't personally vouch for at this point). Also, the surcharge on the water bottles provided is $2.50 per bottle...ouch! But I guess these things are fairly minor in relation to the bigger picture. So, I still give them 5 stars. read more

My boyfriend took me here for valentine's weekend and it was so relaxing. We live in downtown Seattle and just needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and this was perfect. My favorite part was the swimming pool and jacuzzi, yes it was small but that's ok. The pool was a perfect 80ish degrees and the two nights we were there no one was in there and we had tons of fun all night. I really enjoyed our complimentary breakfast both mornings. Anything you could ask for and they even have a chef ready to make you eggs or an omelet. Our room was clean, our bed was SO comfy and huge, but their restaurant was overpriced I think as well as the movies to order, 15.99 a movie. All in all we will definitely go back sometime and I really enjoyed my stay!! read more

Some review practically write themselves because everything was just so right. I spent 6 nights on a train, hurtling through disparate landscapes and sleeping in a faux bed. (Don't get me wrong, either. I love the train. But the trip was stressful.) After the hassle of changing our travel plans by huge degrees, losing our luggage, and generally getting into travel disaster after travel disaster, I wanted a soft and quiet place to lay my head. I wanted a good bed, a large tv, and no hassles. Priceline led me to this hotel, scored me an amazing room rate, and made me feel pretty good about electing to stay outside of Seattle. We didn't plan on leaving the hotel much so we didn't mind being so far away. (Should you desire to hop to the city, there is a bus just across the street that will gladly take you downtown several times an hour.) The first problem we had was arriving a day late. Since we were calling from the train, cell phone coverage was minimal. When I was able to snatch a minute and get on the phone with this hotel, they were sensitive to my situation ("HI! I'm on the train and about to lose cell coverage again. I'm sorry!"!) and hustled through the call. When we pulled in a day late, the room was ready and waiting with no problems. Whew. The room was perfect. Huge bed. Plenty of space. Expansive windows. Clean bathrooms. Big TV. Soft pillows. Quiet hallways. After 6 nights on the train, this was just what I needed. Because our luggage went on a long detour through California before our cruise, we spent most of our time panicking. The front desk staff all seemed aware of the situation (probably "panicked lesbians worried about luggage from train station...wtf, take a chill pill ladies!"), and I appreciated not having to continually explain that we were waiting on bags to be delivered. Technically, we only checked on our bags twice a day for three days...but it felt like we were fretting a lot. Still, we were never made to feel problematic for it. On the last day, when our bags still hadn't arrived, the morning manager offered us breakfast comps to drown our sorrows. It wasn't her fault that Amtrak worried us sick, but she saw a way to make it better. Breakfast comps are such a small thing at a hotel this size, and they only cost the hotel a few bucks...but it was the thought. The server--who seemed to be in on our plight--recommended a few good thrift stores so we could get what we were missing before our cruise. (Cruising without a bathing suit is a sad way to go!) It made a major difference in our experience. The laundry facilities were great, and we enjoyed having clean clothes before the cruise. I wouldn't recommend leaving your laundry unattended, though. For travelers with a car, staying here to get a better price than the Seattle hotels is a no-brainer. This is a great options. For travelers without a car, consider your options well. Cabs into the city are pricey, but there are plenty of restaurants--including the best Japanese I've ever had--in easy walking distance. Accessibility notes: Lobby has automatic doors. Elevators and hallways are wide. Food service area has tables clustered very close together. No braille menu or signage. Keycard systems on room doors may be difficult for guests with mobility issues. No bell attendant. read more

I stay at a lot of hotels for business and pleasure. I'm learnt to stay at new hotels because I'm scared of what I'll find. This hotel was one of the best experiences I've had in the Seattle area. The check in was pleasant. The man at the desk was the best! It's clean and the decor is fabulous. I went down stairs for a beer and the front desk clerk opened it and I wandered around with my beer like Vegas...only quiet. Perfectly quiet! I've stayed at a good number of Marriott hotels, and this has to be one of the worse ones I've been to. The housekeeping was great and the staff was friendly and helpful, but they lack some amenities that would easily enhance the guest's experience. Although the has two packets of caffeinated drip coffee in the room, they did not offer free coffee in the lobby, instead pushing you to buy from the Starbucks or from their overpriced convince store. No breakfast was included. They also had water in the room, but again- it was simply another temptation for purchase. read more

I stayed in this hotel for a business trip to the Kirkland area. The hotel was very nice, wiht a good bar/lobby area and restaurant there were all very clean. I didn't have any trouble checking in, though I did have to wait for a few minutes for the attendant to get off the phone helping another desk. To her defense, we did arrive late that evening and she was the only one on duty. The rooms were nice and clean, not issues there. Their staff even provided my with firmer pillows upon request (hotel pillow are traditionally too soft for me). The entire hotel has complimentary WiFi, which is nice bonus as I could work down in the bar/lobby area and my room without disruption. It was also very quite and I had no disturbances at during my stay. I'd recommend trying to get a room that faces away from street if possible. I only ate at the restaurant one morning, and the buffett is kind of expensive for what it is (around $9 for some minor hot foods, bread, and fruit). The better option seemed to be to order a plate from the menu. The portion size was large, the food good, and the price not too bad for a hotel. The hotel has several restaurants within walking distance, ranging from fast food to sit down, along with a food mart across the street. I am giving 1 star as I cannot give any lower. I made reservation for 9 days, approx a week back and when I showed up, they mentioned there was no room for me. When asked for reason, I was told higher status carrying customers were given preference over me. It was ridiculous explanation given! On the positive side, the personnel was patient & professional all thruout & admitted he had to abide with hotel policy. It was a frustrating experience for me as they offered to relocate me to some other hotel instead of providing their unoccupied rooms, which was reserved for a higher status customers. Makes me wonder, my reservation could never be trusted here & blacklisted it for next time. Fortunately my travel agent was able to book a better hotel for my stay. read more

Nice Courtyard. Appears to be recently updated. Rooms had the new courtyard look and feel. There is a bar and free wifi which is a plus. Not happy that breakfast was so pricey. This hotel is the epitome of terrible service. They did not change the sheets even once. On the fourth night, i had to go ask then to use new sheets and pillowcases and not just make my bed with the old ones because they had my eyeliner on them for days now. They listened, but it should honestly be common sense. Another thing that should be common sense is if the cleaning crew threw out trash. Four days and no one vacuumed. Four days and no one thought they should take the garbage out. Shame on this cleaning crew for thinking they "clean". All they do is come in early in the morning when people are sleeping (keep in mind, they did not have do not disturb signs or else trust me when I say I would have used it), they make the bed, they leave. I have never stayed at a hotel that can't fold and put away the ironing board if it is left outside. This hotel's version of clean is horrible. How is the trash bin always in a different spot in the bathroom if the trash is not empty??? Also, what kind of Marriott is out of body wash AND lotion for four days?! Are you kidding me?! We asked the cleaning crew if they could leave some body wash in the room and they said they just got shipment and will take a look to see if they got any..... ummmmmm.... do you not always have body wash??? Asked the front desk for lotion, which they were "out of" too. All in all, by staying here, you're staying at an EconoLodge with just a better bed. Service is horrible, cleaning crew is horrible, the only good thing was the bistro staff who were willing to make us breakfast even though we showed up a few minutes after 10am. We obviously didn't let them do that because we didn't want to be rude, but i was impressed that they offered and it was good enough for me! End of rant. P.s. the prices on Priceline and all look amazing because their quality of service absolutely sucks. Do not waste any money booking a room here for multiple days unless you want used sheets every night and to live in piles of leftover takeout boxes and other trash that the cleaning crew just decides to leave behind. The only reason I gave this place two stars is because the rooms are nice and spacious with fridges and microwaves. And even though the blow dryer broke mid blow dry for me, they were nice enough to replace it with a different one that did work. read more

I stayed there because I thought they had an indoor pool and hot tub. I thought I remember a hot tub before and I saw some switch on the wall. It looks like if it was there, it was removed, Some areas of the hotel need some fix up and maintenance such as pool area. My room had a noise all night that was nonstop, It sounded like a coffee pot. It might have been the fan in the bathroom or the refrigerator. I could not identify the sound but I made the front desk aware of it. Parking seems limited on weekdays. read more

As soon as you reserve or check in make *sure* you're not facing 124th street unless you don't mind VERY loud traffic noise at 5:35 a.m. This was room 340. The night clerk said, "Oh, yeah, we get that complaint all the time." (?!) To his credit, the morning manager found another room in the booked hotel and it's great. This was room 366. The coffee bar and housekeeping staff are awesome. The rooms are extremely clean. The hotel is well located by a grocery store, etc. The 4 stars not 5 is due only to the traffic noise. read more

I was shocked that the hotel did not attempt to maintain their parking lot during our recent snow. They sent me outside with their shovel to dig snow away from my vehicle. I am dressed in scrubs and work clogs. When I asked for help, they said they were sending out someone and never did. It took me 45 minutes to get out of the lot and then I had to get to work. read more

I have stayed at many Courtyards but this location was disappointing.The rooms are really dark inside even with all the lights on. The parking spaces are very narrow and most of the front desk staff could not figure out how to open the safe deposit box (there are no safes in the room). Even though we booked months in advance, we were given a room on the main floor next to the stairwell and exit door because "the hotel was overbooked". I did not like hearing doors slamming and people going up and down the stairs at all hours. On the upside, a shout out to Maurice for great service at the front desk and the staff at the Bistro, who were really nice. I will not stay at this location again. read more

Where do I start ? At first glance this hotel is nice enough. We were in Kirkland visiting family so we didn't need anything too nice, just something to go home to during the night. Let's start with the positive since it's going to be much shorter list. The staff is friendly but not helpful. They will smile, and greet you but when it comes to service they are lacking serious customer service skills. Let's talk what went wrong here; First night in we noticed there weren't any comforter in the room. YES, NO COMFORTER... This is December in Seattle, where at night it goes down to 28-30 degrees. There is a sheet, and a thin blanket. So we thought maybe we can turn on the heater, and put it up to 75 or so. But guess what, the heater was also broken, somewhere in middle of the night the heater turned in to AC. So the room was freezing for the remainder of the night. We called front desk and no one answered. In the morning we told the front desk we either needed much thicker blanket, or maybe we can be moved to another room. The lady in the front desk chuckled and told us they will look into the heater, and send us some more blankets. NIGHT 2 No blanket, and the heater was NOT fixed. On top all this the cleaning service was nightmare. The room was dusty, and towels were not clean. We complained and none of our requests were met. I don't recommend this place to anyone . The staff here was glorious! So glorious, in fact, that I opted to get an additional night due to travel change instead of sitting at the airport all afternoon. The service was mindful and impeccable by every single member. The room and common areas were squeaky clean. Even the coffee and food was prepared thoughtfully and deliciously. While passing the housekeeping staff in the hallway, each employee smiled and greeted me as if they knew me. The pricing is incredibly reasonable for what is offered and I can't imagine staying anywhere else when in the area. This hotel could teach classes on perfect hospitality. Cheers to them. read more

The lobby area is nice and the rooms are updated with a modern look. I'm curious why even with the "extended" table/desk the chairs aren't tall enough. The bar has a decent beer and wine selection as well as a friendly staff. The breakfast is an absolute joke. $10+ for cold sausage, undercooked potatoes that have more salt than a salt mine, and nobody seemed to know how to make eggs. Fear not though, there is a Subway and a Starbucks one block a way. So go for a nice morning walk, get an inexpensive (hot) breakfast, and a decent cup of coffee. Hotel was very clean, staff were nice, but very noisy on the street side a car drives by every second so it's like sleeping next to the freeway, so make sure you book on the parking lot side. Also the AC unit was very noisy. When we came at 11pm there was a room with a birthday balloon hanging from the door, and they were all drunk dancing and singing very loudly. So I went down to the reception and asked when is the party going to be over (being sarcastic) and the lady at the front desk said "yeah we told them until 11", and I was like this is a hotel room for people to sleep not a reception hall to party. So obviously they allow you to do whatever you want in the room. If you can live with the party next door it won't be a bad deal for you!!!!! read more

Room is clean that is why they get two stars. But this is the second time I have stayed in this hotel and it will be the last. It is way too expensive for location and what it has to offer and this is the second time I've stayed and the cable is out. I could stay anywhere and sleep but I was looking forward to TV and a rest away from my computer. There were no apologies and no credits offered and NO warnings that the cable was being switched out. When I called the front desk they acted as if it was no big deal. Perhaps to some it isn't but to a wayward traveler that enjoys early evening TV, it is a big deal to me. read more

I checked in here during the day and some cranky pear shaped blond lady helped me out. The whole process made me feel like I was bothering her and she just hated talking to me. It's easier than she thinks for people to see through her fake smile and half-assed customer servicey tone of voice. Some fat guy in a purple shirt was in the bar laughing about something and then I saw him pointing at an attractive woman standing by the free coffee area. He didn't see me watching him I guess because he continued to make sexually suggestive motions with his hands to the man next him. I see BS like this all the time and I thought nothing much of it at the time. The reason I'm mentioning it now is because later that night I was having a drink at the bar and the same man came over and introduced himself as the F&B manager. I guess their restaurant is operated by a perverted sex addict or something! The bartender was an older man with dark hair and an awesome push-broom reminiscent of a 70's porn star. He was nice but definatley had no business tending a bar. I named about 4 different drinks (2 from their own cocktail list) before we found one he said he was confident making. None of this would have even mattered to me still if they had delivered a decent experience elsewhere. That did not happen. My room was cold and noisy and the server that delivered room service seemed drunk. The plate I ordered was not at all as it was describe on the menu but it tasted okay apart from being cold. I am writing this review as I can't sleep. Bought off Priceline for $84 including tax! Was very excited I got this price. Now even happier I didn't spend more. The property appears newer an nice. EVENING front desk staff very nice. We were locked out of our room approx an hour due to malfunction in the lock. The maintenance staff already left for the evening, it was only about 830 or 9. They told me it would be awhile as their maintenance person lived a long way from the hotel. Incredible to me there isn't a 24 hr person, or on call person somewhat close to deal with issues such as this. (finally the front desk staff was able to get us in without the maintenance person coming). After waiting to get to our things in our room we were told we would have to switch rooms. They moved us to a corner room with windows to the parking lot. Approx 630 a.m. my family (Spouse and 2 children) were awakened to the beautiful sounds of very loud tree trimmers and edgers, trucks, etc. I called the front desk and they said sorry, they will take care of it. 30 minutes later it's still going on. I couldn't sleep so I went down to the front desk and asked about it. The lady who refused to give me her name said "Not on our property" That is all... WHAT? really thats all I get? Not "Sorry sir it's out of our control we really think it's horrible that they woke you up and you can't fall asleep...blah blah blah. While I understand it's not their gardeners, at least act like you care. I said "thats all you've got" she said "You can't expect us to do anything when it's not on our property" I explained compassion to a very sleepy customer would be nice and she wouldn't even look at me. When I asked for her name she just walked away into a back office. As inconvenient it was to be locked out of my room with a wife and 2 kids, they said there was nothing they could do since we bought our room on Priceline. However, she did comp us a free breakfast. As you would expect from Marriott. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Only gripe with this Marriott is they only have 1 EV parking space which is located inside and to make that worse you are only provided a NEMA 5-20 outlet which charges an EV super slow specifically a Tesla. Hopefully a better charger is installed at this location like other Marriotts, I would bet it would be a big determining factor for potential guests. Overall everything was great and would consider coming back. read more

I did not stay here, but I just wanted to point out that both managers I met there were genuinely helpful, honest people. I believe one was Eric, and I unfortunately forgot the other one's name. My tire unexpectedly blew out, and I drove into the nearest lot, which happened to be this motel. Within minutes, both managers came out and helped me even though I explained that I wasn't staying there. One even changed my tire for me (admittedly I didn't know how). This meant a lot because this was my first time to the Seattle area, and I was on my way to meet my manager on my first day of work during a technical internship at Microsoft. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. All of the front desk staff were very nice and helpful when I had a question. I didn't encounter any problems that required extra assistance. The downside of staying here is the distance from downtown Seattle (about 20 miles I think and traffic is VERY bad in the mornings), but the upside is free parking and WiFi. It was a nice area with a Starbucks about 390 ft away (hate coffee, but luv my soy hot chocolate). I would definitely stay here again. read more

The rooms are really comfortable and well kept. Very nice interior design as well. The continental breakfast has an all you can eat option that's a bit overpriced in my opinion. For what they charge for breakfast, the cooks need to be attentive and make sure that the food is stocked promptly and fresh as it took 10 minutes to get any bacon and "fresh" eggs. Having stayed here numerous times on business I feel obligated to review this Courtyard by Marriott. Would have probably given it 4 stars but for its location this CBM seems too pricey. I routinely pay over $200 for a night for a single room king. However, this is where the bad news ends. The hotel is conveniently located just off the 405. The rooms are always impeccably clean and relatively new. The bed is very comfortable with disk and seating area. Large flat screen HD TV with all the usual cable and movie options available. Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Indoor and outdoor parking, both included (indoor parking is nice with the Seattle weather). Staff is friendly and helpful. There is a small pool and hot tub area as well as a small but adequate work out room if you need to unwind a little. I have never had the breakfast here as I usually just go to some of my usual places up the street but others have said it is only OK at best and is NOT included with the room rate. It is probably a bit better than A-OK, I would recommend if you are staying or working in the area, and I will return. read more

We booked 4 rooms for our family last September. They all enjoyed their stay. The rooms were clean and beautiful, and service was great. The only thing is the intermittent noise of A/C that could definitely wake you up, so play with the settings before you go to bed! And also the traffic noise in the morning have to be mentionned. read more
