The rooms where nice and spacious all though we had to switch out room because of our fridge was not working. The front desk lady was very nice and let us switch out rooms. BYE BYE

Most comfortable and well decorated Courtyard lobby I've experienced.

Sets the standard for Courtyard by Marriott. As I've written many times, the difference between four stars and five stars is not amenities or architecture, it's service. I wish that all Courtyards could have the level of service and amenities available at this property. The lobby decor is exceptional, the front desk staff are friendly and engaging and the bistro has good food served by friendly people. All other Courtyards are officially on notice to meet the standard. RECOMMENED

    Two queen room with balcony

We stayed her spontaneously after our Brian Head/Utah fall color road trip got cancelled because of snow and rain. It was a great last minute hotel. BREAKFAST IS NOT FREE. Because we are platinum we got a $10 breakfast credit each, but if you're not statused you are on your own. There are lots of places to eat though within walking distance, and there is a fridge in the room. They also upgraded us to a balcony view. You can choose the city or bluff side, but honestly I'd pick the city side since there's more to see. The problem with the bluff is it's blocking your view from seeing anything good in the distance. My one gripe is that the person working the reception desk also works with cafe which can make it really backed up. In fact, when we called down no one answered, so we had to go down ourselves. I wish they would have a dedicated cafe person so the front desk person could be on their own.

The view from our window! Happy New Year!

Over the New Year's holiday, my family and I stayed at this hotel for three nights. We always make it a habit to get out of Pasadena for New Year's, after growing up two blocks from the rose parade route. Usually, our annual trips take us up the California coast; this year, we decided to do something a little different and headed to St. George, with the thought of exploring Zion, Snow Canyon, and some of the other local parks in their winter plumage. Upon arriving at the front desk, I was greeted pleasantly by two staff members. I noticed that the hotel look fancier than what I would have expected for my $90/night double queen room on a holiday weekend. A coffee bar in the lobby was open till 10 PM... A nice touch, considering they were serving Americano style Starbucks coffee and other snacks and drinks. Call room on the fourth floor was clean, reasonably comfortable beds, and the microwave/mini fridge combo. A desk area with plenty of plugs for chargers, A flatscreen TV with HBO and two open HDMI ports to hook up the chrome book with Netflix, and pretty good free Wi-Fi rounded out the offerings. Our fourth floor room gave us a nice view of the lights in the growing city of St. George... I don't remember it being this big of a town. Considering it's the dead of winter, all outdoor pool and Jacuzzi facilities were closed. For our three SoCal kids, swimming at the hotel is something to which they truly look forward. The indoor pool was very small, and the temperature of pretty much everything in that room was off somehow... The pool was too cold, the air-conditioner was blasting despite outdoor temperatures in the 20s at night, and the hot tub wasn't, well, hot. Front desk staff was sympathetic to our concerns raised about this, and promptly went to go try to remediate the situation. Still, that air conditioner kept blowing, and the hot tub stayed tepid. After two trips to the highly chlorinated pool, all three of my children develop skin rashes and allergy symptoms. Certainly, I don't blame the hotel for this... They have to keep things clean, but we all got serious red eye, as the chlorine fumes--particularly combined with the bubbles and steam of the hot tub-- were almost overwhelming. I defy any notovirus to try to set up shop in that pool facility... And hey, that's the idea. Other than the pool, we were very pleased with our stay, and will likely stay here again during our summer road trips. When push comes to shove, we don't visit Utah to hang out at the hotel... But overall, this was a nice place to come back to at the end of the day after exploring the great outdoors.

So...I decided to go with my old faithful La Quinta...and let me tell you...this place is good! Lots of spaces in the lobby to hang out. It has a pool and a well stocked little snack store. The staff is nice. They have a breakfast and you know it looked typical. Breakfast ends at 10 but it was nearly check out time (11am) and the food was still out at around 10:30. I asked if I was able to eat since it was still set up and the staff was cleaning up. Everything looked so fresh. I have to say this was the BEST breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. I mean, if I had gone to a breakfast restaurant that was sit down and I was served this plate. I would've happily paid for it. The potatoes were nice and spicy but not hot, the eggs were seasoned. The muffin wasn't dried out at all. There was also sausage bacon, a waffle station, bagels, biscuits, bread to toast, selection of juices and coffees. There was cereal. It was just really good. My room was clean and smelled good. I was having a really bad vacation my car broke down in the middle of nowhere. Anyway my situation requires me to stay another night overnight in St. George next week so I will absolutely be staying here...it was the breakfast that really sealed the deal. I was going to give this a five anyway even without the breakfast included, but that put it over the top. When I got to the front desk, the lady who was working, asked me if I had any special requests and I said yes I would like a room that doesn't have anyone next-door to it and close to an elevator and she was so accommodating and she found me the perfect room. I was checked in around 9pm.

I was in town for a work convention and conference, and this location turned out to be a great choice. The staff was welcoming and professional, always greeting me with a smile and making sure I had what I needed. The customer service stood out to me because they were attentive without being overbearing, which made me feel well taken care of. My room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with a modern design that made it easy to relax after a long day. The bed was excellent, and everything from the bathroom amenities to the room layout was thoughtfully put together. The hotel itself has a bright, fresh atmosphere that makes a good impression the moment you walk in. The lobby and common areas were tidy and inviting, which added to the overall sense of comfort. The breakfast was convenient and had a nice variety, and the location is great if you're attending events at the convention center since it's right there. The only reason I'm giving this stay 4 stars instead of 5 is because I did run into an issue during my visit. While it was frustrating at first, management and World of Hyatt worked quickly with me to resolve the problem, and by the end of my stay everything had been made right. I appreciated how seriously they took the situation, and it gave me confidence to continue booking with Hyatt in the future. All in all, this property has a lot going for it great service, comfortable rooms, and a convenient location. I truly enjoyed my stay and I look forward to coming back again, hopefully with everything going smoothly from start to finish. This Hyatt has the potential to easily be a 5-star experience.

That changed the moment I walked in. I was greeted by some of the nicest people I have ever met. They could tell we were tired from the road and treated us with real kindness. Our room was ready, and they handed us water, snacks, and warm fresh cookies. What kind of silliness was this. Awesome!!!! The room was well equipped with a fridge, microwave, and a bright, clean bathroom. You can tell they recently renovated because everything looked fresh and updated. I went back downstairs to ask about the chargers on the side of the building and how much they cost. They told me it was complimentary. No cost at all. I plugged in at 40 percent and woke up to a full charge at 100 percent. That alone made my morning. Breakfast the next day was another pleasant surprise. The ladies running the breakfast area were so nice, even when my daughter got a little too excited with the sprinkles for her waffle. They even had a sign saying they could adjust food for dietary needs. The whole setup was clean and welcoming. They also have a great little snack shop, and again the front desk staff stood out. I cannot stress this enough. These were some of the nicest people I have ever met at a hotel. Even though it was just an overnight stay, I really enjoyed it. The property looks very nice from the outside, with plenty of free parking. Very quiet. Ashley checked us in, and she was very nice. She even gave us information on local restaurants. We asked for an upper floor, and she put us on the 4th of 5 and we were happy. The room was clean and spacious, with two queen beds, a microwave, mini fridge, and hair dryer. There were plenty of towels. The TV and AC worked well. There was a walk-in shower with sliding glass doors. The sink counter space was plentiful. What I didn't like: low water pressure in the shower, a bathroom fan that did not work, uncomfortable beds, electrical outlets that allowed the plug to slide out, making it difficult to charge devices, and worst of all, water that had a faint smell of raw sewage. The complimentary breakfast was your standard fare, with the scrambled eggs being a little watery and the sausage patties lacking any browning and rubbery. The OJ and coffee were good. My wife mentioned the water smell and the bathroom fan not working. Though nice, the female clerk that checked us out didn't seem too bad concerned, which was a bit disappointing. The room and hotel were overall very nice, and the rate for this trip was a great value. However, the water smell might keep us from returning. My wife, especially, was not comfortable showering and brushing her teeth for fear of contamination.

We arrived really late at night, around 2:30-3:00 AM, and ended up standing outside the hotel entrance for about 10-15 minutes because nobody was at the front desk. We were calling the front desk number and nobody answered. Luckily, there happened to be another guest sitting in the lobby -- honestly a blessing at that hour -- and he let us inside so we weren't stuck outside in the cold. Even after getting inside, we still waited another 10 minutes or so before someone from the front desk finally showed up. We called the front desk number again while inside and still got no answer. Overall, it took close to 20-25 minutes just to see an attendant and get checked into the room. I stay at a lot of IHG hotels and have some level of membership with them, and at most locations it's pretty common to at least be greeted warmly or offered something simple like points or water bottles. Unfortunately, when the attendant finally showed up after the long wait, it honestly looked like she didn't care at all. I even asked if they had any water bottles available and she simply said no. She just didn't seem welcoming or interested in being there, which was disappointing considering a hotel front desk is a customer service role. Once we finally got into the room though, everything was fine and pretty standard with no other issues during the stay.
