We stayed two nights at the Courtyard by Marriott while in St. George visiting family, and it was great. It's a nice property, and it's right off the I-15. They have an on-site bar, pool, laundry facilities, and conference rooms. Parking was a little hard to find in the evenings but overall we really enjoyed our stay. read more

We stayed here with our family one night on our roadtrip back home from Yellowstone NP to CA. The area was really nice and the hotel was decent. It is one of the older Courtyard so the rooms were definitely outdated. Front desk was polite and courteous and we had a pleasant stay. Nothing really special about this particular Courtyard. I booked two rooms and even with Platinum there was no perks at this Courtyard or any Courtyard, no upgrades either as they promised. read more

TLDR: They do not honor reservations. Don't book here if you don't want to be left at 10 pm at night with no where to sleep. We had a reservation for a suite with two queens and a sofa bed. My friend had called to make the reservation and the hotel had already put a hold on his card. However, a couple hours, before, as we're driving over, the front desk called to say they had given away our room to some family. They then said that 1) they would keep a room with two queens on hold for us (definitely not what we had reserved but at least a room) and 2) would also call a number of hotels in the area to find another room. They also said that they had cancelled our reservation because there was no card (despite the card charge already existing). Then then took card info over the phone again for the room. When we arrived, the woman who had called was gone, leaving a new man at the desk who told us all rooms were gone and that she had barely left a note. (He clearly didn't know what to do as she had left him with no instructions). The only thing he could offer was a room with no electricity. Additionally, the manager couldn't even be reached by phone. So we were in St George with no room and no help getting a place to stay. They didn't even help us find any alternative accommodations. We have still yet to receive any apology or acknowledgement of their fault. Other relevant factors to note: for any who care, the friend who had reserved the room was a Marriott Bonvoy member, so they clearly don't care about that. We also suspect they cancelled our reservation potentially according to racism, as my friend has a clearly non-white name (though this cannot be confirmed). read more

Sets the standard for Courtyard by Marriott. As I've written many times, the difference between four stars and five stars is not amenities or architecture, it's service. I wish that all Courtyards could have the level of service and amenities available at this property. We stayed her spontaneously after our Brian Head/Utah fall color road trip got cancelled because of snow and rain. It was a great last minute hotel. BREAKFAST IS NOT FREE. Because we are platinum we got a $10 breakfast credit each, but if you're not statused you are on your own. There are lots of places to eat though within walking distance, and there is a fridge in the room. They also upgraded us to a balcony view. You can choose the city or bluff side, but honestly I'd pick the city side since there's more to see. The problem with the bluff is it's blocking your view from seeing anything good in the distance. My one gripe is that the person working the reception desk also works with cafe which can make it really backed up. In fact, when we called down no one answered, so we had to go down ourselves. I wish they would have a dedicated cafe person so the front desk person could be on their own. read more

Carpet looked dirty, and there are some needed repair and attention to detail needs. And then they can't even give you a breakfast. They serve the same cheap breakfast as the other motels that give it to you free but they charge you $15. They call the restaurant the bistro trying to add a little European flavor to it, which doesn't work. The bistro has limited hours and is not real restaurant food. Look for another hotel. read more

HOUSEKEEPING STAFF ARE LIARS AND THIEFS !!! I stayed at this property on July 25th and check out July 26. My wife left behind her small pink make up bag in the room. I called the front desk to see if housekeeping had retrieved anything, unfortunately nothing was recovered. Front desk team did everything in their power to assist with such great service. This is where things get ugly. I spoke with general manager Zack to which my surprise was rude with recovery service. I spent 15 mins in the phone asking for a free comp night since $1200 worth of revenue was lost due housekeeping agent stoled my wife's make up bag. Zack refuse to assist me or tailor my needs due tragic lost on his end of his team. I did not ask much from Zack and believe this was fair compensation. I felt like my value as a repetitive customer were ignored. I will no longer come back and look for another property.. read more

Over the New Year's holiday, my family and I stayed at this hotel for three nights. We always make it a habit to get out of Pasadena for New Year's, after growing up two blocks from the rose parade route. Usually, our annual trips take us up the California coast; this year, we decided to do something a little different and headed to St. George, with the thought of exploring Zion, Snow Canyon, and some of the other local parks in their winter plumage. Upon arriving at the front desk, I was greeted pleasantly by two staff members. I noticed that the hotel look fancier than what I would have expected for my $90/night double queen room on a holiday weekend. A coffee bar in the lobby was open till 10 PM... A nice touch, considering they were serving Americano style Starbucks coffee and other snacks and drinks. Call room on the fourth floor was clean, reasonably comfortable beds, and the microwave/mini fridge combo. A desk area with plenty of plugs for chargers, A flatscreen TV with HBO and two open HDMI ports to hook up the chrome book with Netflix, and pretty good free Wi-Fi rounded out the offerings. Our fourth floor room gave us a nice view of the lights in the growing city of St. George... I don't remember it being this big of a town. Considering it's the dead of winter, all outdoor pool and Jacuzzi facilities were closed. For our three SoCal kids, swimming at the hotel is something to which they truly look forward. The indoor pool was very small, and the temperature of pretty much everything in that room was off somehow... The pool was too cold, the air-conditioner was blasting despite outdoor temperatures in the 20s at night, and the hot tub wasn't, well, hot. Front desk staff was sympathetic to our concerns raised about this, and promptly went to go try to remediate the situation. Still, that air conditioner kept blowing, and the hot tub stayed tepid. After two trips to the highly chlorinated pool, all three of my children develop skin rashes and allergy symptoms. Certainly, I don't blame the hotel for this... They have to keep things clean, but we all got serious red eye, as the chlorine fumes--particularly combined with the bubbles and steam of the hot tub-- were almost overwhelming. I defy any notovirus to try to set up shop in that pool facility... And hey, that's the idea. Other than the pool, we were very pleased with our stay, and will likely stay here again during our summer road trips. When push comes to shove, we don't visit Utah to hang out at the hotel... But overall, this was a nice place to come back to at the end of the day after exploring the great outdoors. read more

Great friendly staff & the lobby smells clean and amazing as soon as you walk in. Mike who works the front desk is extremely personable & welcoming & even suggested his favorite restaurant & gifted us with free toothbrushes since we forgot ours. The outdoor fire place is absolutely beautiful along with a really nice pool, gym, & spacious clean lobby with a cozy fireplace & a big screen TV. Their is a bar/restaurant in the lobby offering tons of appetizers. Our room was extremely clean, smelt great with comfy beds/pillows & there is a ton of parking which is always nice since we got in late on a cold and windy night. Plus you are only 2 minutes from a Starbucks and tons of restaurants & shopping. read more

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay here. From the amenities to the customer service. I enjoyed the workout room 2x when I was there- open 24/7. There is an inside pool with a hot tub and an outside pool. The hotel is updated and on the fancier side. The customer service was wonderful, we arrived at 2am after a long day of travel. The front desk agent Jim was very helpful and funny, he helped turn the day around. Would recommend 100% only downfall is the breakfast is not free. read more

Kerrie Prince is hands down as good as it gets!! She is the Director of Sales and wish I could give her 10 stars out of 5. A couple days ago, I screwed up and booked a conference room on the wrong day at another hotel. I was in desperate need of space for our meeting. It was less then 24 hours away. She was able to fit me into a slot, and help me with every little detail so my meeting ran super smooth. She helped with signs, seating, drinks, tables, table cloths, and even decorations on the food tables. I was able to concentrate on the presentation. She was amazing! The venue was super nice and we will book future meetings and conference rooms there. read more

Second time staying here I'm so sorry, but I believe her name was Peggy checked us in awesome loved her that evening. I went down to the café to get something to drink and eat and unfortunately the woman working the café did not even turn around to acknowledge me and I was there for over 15 minutes so then went back to the front desk and Peggy again was so nice and she offered to try and help me but the gentleman working said no you can't go do that because they apparently can't go over to the café however, within an hour I got a call from the front desk saying that they would like to give us a free breakfast so the next morning I went down and the person at the café then was the manager Brian he was very very nice and apologized for what it happened and I said no problem I understand. Just wanted to thank Peggy and Brian for taking such good care of us however, funny thing I ordered us three breakfast sandwiches to go when I got to where we were going. It was not breakfast sandwiches so hopefully whoever got our three breakfast sandwiches enjoyed them. We got some breakfast burritos which were very nice. Will definitely stay here again. read more

We usually stay at Marriott Fairfield hotels. This stay reminded me that if you have a government or business account, you can get a nice breakfast at a Courtyard. This hotel is very nice, but you cannot even get a complimentary coffee in the lobby. You will pay for everything. Very nice hotel for business, but not for family. read more

Several years ago, I stayed at this lovely hotel. But over the last 2-3 years, I'd started booking more with Hilton, largely due to their acquisition of Hampton Inns, one of those usually reliable mid-tier chains. This past weekend, a last-minute trip to St. George caused me to check available rewards points. Which in turn led to booking a night at this Courtyard. It will not be my last. I may have to switch from Hamptons to Courtyards if they're all this good. The rooms are good, not great or wonderful or amazing, but good. The showers, however, are A+. It's really the service that sets this place apart. And of course, Marriott's great beds. As I woke up on Monday, I remembered why I had liked this place so much. Only downside: No free breakfast. But they compensate for that with the Bistro, which in turn makes up for no-free-breakfast by having things like wine and small but tasty snacks in the evening. Would recommend this hotel with no caveats. read more

Was charged for the wrong room from the front desk having no idea who had or hadn't checked in from our group. Was assured the charge would come off by the GM. Turned out I was charged for a friends room in my group spent almost an hour total trying to sort it out. Still haven't received a refund. Clean hotel,friendly staff, and great location - near shopping and restrauants. The standard room wasn't tiny and the bathroom was good sized as well. We had the view of the city and my daughter enjoyed the pool even though she said it was small - I did not see it myself. I did read that most of the hotels offer complimentary breakfast but this is one of the few hotels that make you pay. I did not actually see the spread of the breakfast buffet but I hear it's actually nice and worth the $10.00 that it costs. I'll have to experience it mself to tell ya what I honestly think... I didn't like that there was only 1 elevator inside the lobby and that after 10:00pm the doors are locked and the front desk has to let you in. I know it must be for safety but I can't help but feel like I'm in jail. Other than that I would stay here again.... read more

I love to stay at Marriott because they are clean and I love the sheets. However tonight I am at one in st George Utah. Expensive$213 for the night. So many guests here in the lobby and not a single one with a mask on. When I asked the manager he said they are required but they do not in force the policy. In these times .... Was in for a night stay, and can honestly say I had no complaints I liked that I even got to log into my Netflix account to watch movies and had a nice view Jay at the front desk was very helpful and showcases awesome customer service skills only thing I'd suggest is either make it free or remove the $4 dollar bottle of LFE water because they have pretty close stores in walking distance you can get water from because most the time people aren't traveling alone, not in the case but most the time I'm traveling with my family. read more

They then didn't do a thing to help me find it and get it back to me. The customer service and training is just not where it should be for a Marriott and I will not be staying here ever. read more

We stopped at Marriott's Town Place Suites and took a room thinking the Hotel would have full amenities like a restaurant. Wrong! So we were told that they have a restaurant bistro bar at their Marriott Court Yard next door. After walking over to the Courtyard by Marriott and sitting down at what appeared to be a bar, I sat there for some minutes waiting for one of the two people behind the bar to look in my direction. As one asked if I needed something I said that I would like a glass of wine having just driven through an ICE STORM. I was told "We don't open for 45 minutes" I asked if I could just have a glass of wine, to which their response was "No we don't serve any Wine until we're open and you have order food before ordering any Wine". MARRIOT, lest you forget, WE, your customers are not patronizing Marriott to run off YOUR schedule. YOU are in business to serve your patrons. Your staff could not have served a glass of wine before your bewitching hour of FIVE PM??? REALLY??!! And... WHAT is that NONSENSE about having to first order dinner to have a glass of wine??? We travel frequently now and use Marriott exclusively. Perhaps we need to rethink that. Hilton's keep imploring us to book with them. ONE more incident like this Marriott and you will lose our business along with Company's' bookings which I'm certain that you would be more concerned about. read more

UPDATE: After writing Marriott Corporate I got an email from the GM apologizing saying the manager I talked about above couldn't find a working number and the ones on my profile were wrong. (I triple checked my profile and they are both my husbands and my numbers....all indeed working well. Crappy excuses and trying to make this our fault. UM...so after leaving my number with no less than three people AND the manager calling me on two separate occasions....he didn't have my number. Lame.) The GM had my points returned and also added 25000 extra points....which was great but I'd have gladly taken my money back...which still hasn't been returned. Kudos to him for being competent enough to respond and try to implement a solution......sad that he has such ridiculous slackers as staff members.We still will not be back. read more

On September 5, 2015, I checked into the St. George Courtyard Marriott. I was in town from San Diego visiting my son who attends Dixie State University. I figured you can't possibly go wrong with a Courtyard, right?. Well, on the morning of Sunday, September 6, 2015, I noticed bite marks and welts on my right torso and left arm but, being unfamiliar with bed bugs, mistakenly assumed they were mosquito bites sustained while attending a football game the prior evening. I was there for three days and checked-out on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 Upon returning to San Diego, I continued to notice new welts and bite marks every morning and decided to consult a nurse practitioner, who surmised that the welts were most likely that of bed bugs, as mosquito bites would not produce the type of welts and characteristics exhibited. Upon receiving this information, I immediately contacted Nicole Pead, one of the managers at the hotel, to advise her they had bed bugs. She proceeded to berate me because I had not reported it sooner and that she "highly doubted that I got them during my stay." She was practically laughing over the phone. I just purchased a new mattress and bedroom set in July and never, ever have I dealt with any types of bites or welts until my stay at the St. George Courtyard. The bed bugs were confirmed by a pest control representative (although the infestation is considered mild at the moment), the cost to treat my apartment is $1,500. PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT RISK TAKING BED BUGS HOME AND SEEK OTHER LODGMENT BESIDES THIS COURTYARD. It will be a very costly stay! read more

Mariott would not cancel my reservation after plans had changed and I called. Despite being a Mariott Rewards member, the staff at this location did not care and were overly non-chalant. They also could not even send me a receipt so I could submit in my expense report. I called back the day after the reservation and was told they could not email me a copy of the receipt. I was told a manager would call back and help out, which they did not. When I called back the following day, I was told all of the managers had already left for the day. When I explained the situation, Mike on their staff asked me if I just wanted to vent, or if he could resolve the issue. He could not.. When I said I just wanted a receipt emailed, obviously annoyed, Mike hung up on me! What a poor representation of Mariott. Never experienced such a rude staff that clearly does not represent this brand that you would expect much more from. It's okay to charge for a room based on late cancelation, but to be rude on top and incapable of sending a receipt, not okay. read more

A great 4 star place to stay in St George. Clean, comfy with a little stylish touch and a nice pool and hot tub. We were passing through St George on the way to a backpacking trip in Zion when we found a deal at the Courtyard by Marriott. And I have to say this is a very nice corporate living hotel. The bed was plush, the television was high def, and the cable was working. In the morning, they offered a warm breakfast and complimentary coffee on your way out the door. Thumbs up. read more

It has two swimming pool and two jacuzzi one outdoor and one indoor, laundry room (2 washers and 3 dryers $1.50 each and complimentary laundry detergent and bleach) and free Wi-Fi. New and clean, this Courtyard has it all...including seemingly larger rooms. The only negative I could find was that both the indoor and outdoor pools were pretty small. In a town like St. George where it gets so hot, one would hope for a larger place to take a dip. The hotel is near to plenty of generica: The Olive Garden, Iggy's, Winger's, Golden Corral, Outback, Coldstone Creamery, Target, grocery stores, etc. It's where I will stay each time I am in St. George in the near future. read more

I agree with the previous reviewers. The only downside of this hotel is that the staff is a bit aloof. They weren't unfriendly, just not as super-chatty as most Utahns I've met. Got a room for $89+tax on Orbitz during Memorial Day weekend and tried to extend my stay for an extra night but they were fully booked. I learned that St. George hotels really book up quickly so get a room early! read more
