The rooms where nice and spacious all though we had to switch out room because of our fridge was not working. The front desk lady was very nice and let us switch out rooms. BYE BYE

Most comfortable and well decorated Courtyard lobby I've experienced.

Sets the standard for Courtyard by Marriott. As I've written many times, the difference between four stars and five stars is not amenities or architecture, it's service. I wish that all Courtyards could have the level of service and amenities available at this property. The lobby decor is exceptional, the front desk staff are friendly and engaging and the bistro has good food served by friendly people. All other Courtyards are officially on notice to meet the standard. RECOMMENED

    Two queen room with balcony

We stayed her spontaneously after our Brian Head/Utah fall color road trip got cancelled because of snow and rain. It was a great last minute hotel. BREAKFAST IS NOT FREE. Because we are platinum we got a $10 breakfast credit each, but if you're not statused you are on your own. There are lots of places to eat though within walking distance, and there is a fridge in the room. They also upgraded us to a balcony view. You can choose the city or bluff side, but honestly I'd pick the city side since there's more to see. The problem with the bluff is it's blocking your view from seeing anything good in the distance. My one gripe is that the person working the reception desk also works with cafe which can make it really backed up. In fact, when we called down no one answered, so we had to go down ourselves. I wish they would have a dedicated cafe person so the front desk person could be on their own.

The view from our window! Happy New Year!

Over the New Year's holiday, my family and I stayed at this hotel for three nights. We always make it a habit to get out of Pasadena for New Year's, after growing up two blocks from the rose parade route. Usually, our annual trips take us up the California coast; this year, we decided to do something a little different and headed to St. George, with the thought of exploring Zion, Snow Canyon, and some of the other local parks in their winter plumage. Upon arriving at the front desk, I was greeted pleasantly by two staff members. I noticed that the hotel look fancier than what I would have expected for my $90/night double queen room on a holiday weekend. A coffee bar in the lobby was open till 10 PM... A nice touch, considering they were serving Americano style Starbucks coffee and other snacks and drinks. Call room on the fourth floor was clean, reasonably comfortable beds, and the microwave/mini fridge combo. A desk area with plenty of plugs for chargers, A flatscreen TV with HBO and two open HDMI ports to hook up the chrome book with Netflix, and pretty good free Wi-Fi rounded out the offerings. Our fourth floor room gave us a nice view of the lights in the growing city of St. George... I don't remember it being this big of a town. Considering it's the dead of winter, all outdoor pool and Jacuzzi facilities were closed. For our three SoCal kids, swimming at the hotel is something to which they truly look forward. The indoor pool was very small, and the temperature of pretty much everything in that room was off somehow... The pool was too cold, the air-conditioner was blasting despite outdoor temperatures in the 20s at night, and the hot tub wasn't, well, hot. Front desk staff was sympathetic to our concerns raised about this, and promptly went to go try to remediate the situation. Still, that air conditioner kept blowing, and the hot tub stayed tepid. After two trips to the highly chlorinated pool, all three of my children develop skin rashes and allergy symptoms. Certainly, I don't blame the hotel for this... They have to keep things clean, but we all got serious red eye, as the chlorine fumes--particularly combined with the bubbles and steam of the hot tub-- were almost overwhelming. I defy any notovirus to try to set up shop in that pool facility... And hey, that's the idea. Other than the pool, we were very pleased with our stay, and will likely stay here again during our summer road trips. When push comes to shove, we don't visit Utah to hang out at the hotel... But overall, this was a nice place to come back to at the end of the day after exploring the great outdoors.

And of course the view from the room was great. Sat outside on our 2nd floor balcony enjoying breakfast and the balcony and chairs were spotless. Not sure how they keep that up, but it's literally the only place we've stayed at where the balcony and furniture wasn't covered in dust. Bravo. The Keurig machine was also very clean, almost seemed brand new. Wish the rooms had full length mirrors and more than two coffee Keurig K-Cups (in case one person drank more than 1 cup of coffee in the morning) but at this point I'm just nitpicking.

Complimentary breakfast was super cute & arrived on time for both mornings we were there. I took a star off because... A) no one was at the check in desk when I was waiting for 10min to check in - there was a sign saying that stepped away for a moment, I waited & waited until someone told me to press 0 on the phone (the hostess from the restaurant side had to tell me) & I arrived right at check - in time. B) for the price a microwave & full - length mirror in the room would've been nice. Overall, the stay was nice & we would recommend, but I don't think it was worth the price per night.

There are restaurants in every direction and easy to get to. You definitely have to drive...the road isn't really walkable and especially in the dead of summer. There is ample parking all the way around the building and multiple exit doors and elevators at each end. This BW has clearly been renovated. The lobby was impeccably decorated and had an open coffee/tea bar and ice cold water with fruit added. There is also a well stocked market right near the front desk. When we checked in we got the floor I requested and the front desk person told us all about the amenities including a daily free happy hour in the building across from the lobby. We made our way to our room and got settled in. The room felt and smelled clean. The room was just what I wanted with two queen beds and an AC unit that worked to perfection. I love when there are multiple lamps around with different brightness settings including on the nightstand. The room was also equipped with a wet bar with fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Bathroom was stocked with loads of towels which is always preferred. We did check out the happy hour which was pretty good and yes included cocktails. If you stay don't skip it! The beds were super comfortable and I slept like a dog on a log. We got up early and departed. Our one night stay was just what we needed! Thank you, BW Abbey Inn!

They serve complimentary breakfast in the mornings that consists of bagels, breads, eggs, tortillas, sausage or bacon, waffles or French toast sticks, oatmeal, yogurt, fruits, cereal, hard boiled eggs, juices and coffee. They had a wide variety of condiments and toppings to choose from as well. The seating was a little limited during the busy weekends, but manageable. They kept all items refilled quickly to make sure everyone was fed! I loved seeing the manager working hard to keep the hotel lobby and eating area cleaned up during this time and assisting with the food service. You can tell he really takes pride in the appearance of the hotel and making sure the guests have the best experience! That was awesome to see each morning! We had a room on the 5th floor which had excellent views. We were able to control the temperature to our preference, which was probably a bit chilly than most people like it, but it was great to walk into on hot days after exploring St George. We were able to store drinks in the mini fridge (no freezer area). We also took advantage of the drink filling station at the water fountain daily! I would have liked to see more outlets available by the beds for charging and plug in abilities. If you are sleeping double to a queen, only one person near the table is going to be able to charge their phone and be near it. There are other outlets located throughout the room however, just not near the bed. I loved that they also have wall mounted shampoo, conditional and body wash. Its and excellent product and we ended up using that instead of the travel sizes we brought with us. We will definitely book another stay in the future when back in the area!

We love the simplicity of the entire Tru brand. Let's discuss shall we? Check in-Simple. Download the app, check in online and receive a digital key sent to your phone to access your room. Literally zero human interaction Room-Small but efficiently designed, always clean with a few toiletries provided. Bed & pillows are very comfortable and offer a great nights sleep. Toiletries-Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, body lotion all in large bottles attached to the walls. I actually appreciate and prefer this model vs the mini bottles. Most people bring their own products, myself included. Also, most people take extra home with intentions of using them and guess what, they collect in a random drawer in the guest bath for years until they move or die then someone throws dozens of wasted plastic and expired products in the trash. Ty hotels for saving is all the headache! Also, the brand Tru offers smells so good! Gym-24/7 access which we love. It's on the smaller aide but offers an impressive amount of equipment. 2 treadmills, an elliptical, 1 weight bench, weights 5-40 lbs, stability straps which I loved, a Bosu, 3 stability balls, several matts and a box for jumping. Think I saw a few Kettles too. Free Breakfast-Always impressed with what's offered for free at the free breakfast here. Scrambled eggs and some type of breakfast protein is always offered. Oatmeal with tons of fixings, yogurt, cereals, several juices, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs and the most popular item...the mini pancakes! There are 2 pancake machines you simply wave your hand in front of and makes you a little hot fresh pancake! There were multiple toppings including sugar free syrup. Refreshments-24/7 regular & decaf coffee and hot water for tea. 2 flavors to choose for cream, a few types of sweeteners. It's really great coffee too! In the morning there ice water & citrus infused water. Common Areas-For as small as the lobby os it has several seating areas to sit and work on your lap top, eat, or play games with the family. Tru does a great job at providing family entertainment too with big screens to watch tv on, a pool table and lots of games to play too! We don't spend mich time at the hotel outside of sleeping, a workout and a quick bite before hitting the road but we're always hapoy with our stays. We will be back!

We arrived really late at night, around 2:30-3:00 AM, and ended up standing outside the hotel entrance for about 10-15 minutes because nobody was at the front desk. We were calling the front desk number and nobody answered. Luckily, there happened to be another guest sitting in the lobby -- honestly a blessing at that hour -- and he let us inside so we weren't stuck outside in the cold. Even after getting inside, we still waited another 10 minutes or so before someone from the front desk finally showed up. We called the front desk number again while inside and still got no answer. Overall, it took close to 20-25 minutes just to see an attendant and get checked into the room. I stay at a lot of IHG hotels and have some level of membership with them, and at most locations it's pretty common to at least be greeted warmly or offered something simple like points or water bottles. Unfortunately, when the attendant finally showed up after the long wait, it honestly looked like she didn't care at all. I even asked if they had any water bottles available and she simply said no. She just didn't seem welcoming or interested in being there, which was disappointing considering a hotel front desk is a customer service role. Once we finally got into the room though, everything was fine and pretty standard with no other issues during the stay.
