I stopped here on 5 Jan 18 for the first time off of the Yelp reviews to grab a quick lunch before my appointment that was in the area. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by staff members which was a welcoming experience.. I choose to eat at the establishment to kill time, which was a good choice because my waiter was very polite and helpful explaining the menu.. I elected to get the chicken shawarma sandwich and added fries for $1.99, I also got there hot tea that they served as well.. Chicken Shawarma- "Mildly" flavorful but good.. You could taste "hints" of spices (had potential), but I wish it was more flavorful.. Fries- Came out fresh and hot Tea- Was hot and sweet; pretty good To wrap this up, this spot is good for a quick lunch, when you don't want junk food like McDonalds etc.. It has been too long since I stopped into Cous Cous Cafe. I was confused by the new entrance but was pleasantly surprised to see the remodeled version of the old spot. It looked great- lots of seating and natural light. The pastry case was full of all the delicious treats! I ordered the harrira soup and chicken Schwarma Salad. The soup was a bit bland and not what i remembered. It had chickpeas and short noodles (similar to Fideo) in a tomato broth. I requested hot sauce and the sriracha made it a lot better! The salad came out pretty soggy but the chicken looked very good. It came with dressing, a yogurt sauce, and feta cheese. It was tasty. No masking of patrons or employees. Great spot for vegans, vegetarians, and Moroccan Food Lovers. I'm eager to make this a regular spot again, but I'll probably stick with the burritos. read more

The first three times I came here, I got takeout. Most recently I ate in the restaurant, and I appreciated the attentiveness of the wait staff. I've tried a variety of the menu and have liked it overall each time. I like how their Mediterranean menu is different from other options in the area. Their gyro meat is sliced a little thick, yet they are able to make it still tender. There vegetarian trio is a great deal at just $6.50, and you get to choose from several vegetarian options to make up your platter. They also have many other platters such as lamb, chicken, beef and more. I also really like their hummus. They even have a pretty awesome dessert case that is so tempting every time I'm there. My wife and I sometimes drive to OKC from Plano (Dallas suburb) Just to eat here. My wife is Moroccan and it is literally the closest Moroccan restaurant to us. Of course we stay in a hotel and do other stuff but those other things are just excuses to eat here. She couches for its authenticity. While the Moroccan item menu itself is small (75% of the menu is the usual Lebanese/Syrian Mediterranean dishes), everything is very good. My favorite is the Pastilla which is phyllo (baklava) dough pie that is stuffed with chicken, almonds, raisins and savory spices that is dusted with powdered sugar and cinnamon. Then you have couscous which is famous, and also my wife's favorite tajine. This comes with a meat of your choice (we like lamb) and you can get it varios styles but Moroccan style is with French fries and olives. They have several Moroccan salad appetizers but our favorite is zalouk which is like a chunky baba ghanouj. While it is not Moroccan, their Mousakka is also the best ive had. They have a wide variety of desserts and beverages to choose from. read more

Upon walking in, the Mediterranean atmosphere is prevalent. The staff is very friendly, and polite. The best value on the menu is the burritos by far. With a in house made tortilla and fresh ingredients there is no beating the $5.99 price tag. The Moroccan tea is very flavorful. It might be weird to some but it fits the meal perfectly. The baklava is a perfect finish to a great dinner. Portions are spot on. They are enough food for the money while still not being wasteful. All in all a great place to eat. 5/5 stars read more

This. Place. Not only are the proprietors the nicest ever, the prices of the delicious food are awesome. Vegetarians, have your pick! There's a whole section for platter combinations to accommodate all your meat-free needs. Try the zaolook if you've not. It's an eggplant puree of sorts. SO good. If you have time, eat in and get the house tea. It doesn't need sugar, so don't add it! Overall all, it's a bunch of really nice people serving really amazing food. I had the mix grill plate. It was reasonably priced and portioned. Usually, I don't particularly like how other restaurants cooked their rice, but they do it right here. And out of all the meat skewers on the plate, the kofta was my favorite. It was very tender and flavorful. The lambs' meat wasn't tender, and the flavor of the fresh oregano was quite intense. The chicken skewer was moist, but again the oregano's flavor was strong, making it less enjoyable to eat. Lastly, I had the Moroccan Almond Cake. I like that it wasn't too sweet. The cake was moist & airy. Each bite of the cake was a taste of heaven. Service was lovely and attentive, but it took a long time for our food to arrive since we came to one of their busy nights. Overall, the food was flavorful and delicious. And their Moroccan mint hot tea can be addictive. It was a good dining experience, and the live music they had on Fridays made the experience even more memorable. read more

This is the worst service I have encountered at a restaurant. I ordered a veggie burrito with a side of fries on my last visit. The server, Antonia, did not give me my fries. Luckily I checked before driving off and told her this. She said "well it doesn't come with fries". Um... So what? I asked for it on the side. So I had to pay again to get what I asked for. I gave them another chance today and that was a huge mistake. I sat at the drive thru for over 5 minutes before anyone helped me - and it was Antonia again. I sat waiting for my over for over TWENTY MINUTES. For a simple burrito with fries. There was only one other couple eating there - they were not busy. This is on my work break and I do not have a lot of time. I went inside and got my money back. No one offered me anything. The girl who served me went to the back without acknowledging me. Came across this place late one Sunday night. We ordered the Famous Moroccan tea and two gyro plates, one with rice and one with couscous. The tea was wonderful for a cold Oklahoma evening. It was fragrant and tasty. Almost a herbal citrus flavor. The dinner was just ok. The gyro meat was thick cut strips (not what I'm used to), but had a decent flavor. The rice was a bit dry and hard to swallow, but the couscous was moist and enjoyable. Seeing as there aren't any other places close to us that have gyros, we may give it another try when we get a craving. read more

Cous Cous Cafe has become one of our favorite places to eat! We dine in or order to go a couple times each month. Everything we've tried is excellent. The food is always flavorful, fresh, and consistent. I like to get the vegetarian combo plates, switching it up between hummus, cous cous salad, zaalook, taktouka, falafel. My husband always gets the gyro burrito and loves it. Try the hot tea too - it's slightly minty with a touch of sweetness. Within the past year they expanded their space a little bit and remodeled - it looks great! They also have a new flat screen TV on the wall. We just went in yesterday and found they have updated/reprinted their menus and they look great too! I love seeing this restaurant grow and become more popular.
