Okay, so I ordered from here lastnight and saw incredible reviews on Seamless. THIS...is what I got. They couldn't have possibly sent me something more awful if they were actively trying. I hate to leave bad reviews but this one just shocked me. Firstly, when I got the pizza, everything I selected for toppings along WITH the cheese slid off in a soaked grease pile. Cool, I still ordered a sandwich, it happens right? Maybe the driver didn't secure it. The sandwich...was even worse. They put the yellow, dried pieces of lettuce in it and didn't even toast the wrap. It was so incredibly soggy which went perfect with the soggy excuse for sweet potato fries. IF YOU ARE READING THIS...do NOT believe the reviews. This place makes starving to death a viable option.

My Rattle Snake Pasta with Angel hair

Once every two weeks I have to order my Rattlesnake Pasta with Penne. Last night I tried it with the Angel Hair pasta. This dish is extremely reliable to quench your hunger, satisfy your taste buds, and is well priced. You can actually share it with two people easy and a third or fourth person would be pushing it! Tell your friends or family to get there own.

    Mac and cheese pizza!

Delicious place, but prices are outrageously high. Like $11-dollars-for-a-pasta high.

We hosted roughly 55 people and utilized the entire restaurant for our private event (restaurant buyout). From the onset, Ross and Eric (Mgr. + Assistant Mgr.) were incredibly friendly, responsive to all my questions via email, and agreed to meet not once, but TWICE in-person to ensure all details were accounted for, and that our requests would be accommodated. The event ran smoothly because of their professionalism and attention to detail. During the event, the kitchen, bar, and wait staff were incredibly attentive, kind, friendly, and honestly felt like part of the party the entire time. Our family and friends raved about the entire experience, including the service, the food, and the configuration of the space. We left smiling from ear-to-ear, and are incredibly grateful to everyone at Flinder's for helping to make our baby shower a great success!

I was happy to get a chunk of time to visit The Wienery, which seems like one of the better regarded hot dog places in the Stamford area. I ordered a chili and coleslaw dog and a "Chicaaago" dog. The dogs are standard length Sabretts, all beef hot dogs from New Jersey that are popular in New York as well. The hot dogs were split and grilled. The actual Sabrett hot dogs were good, but I prefer some other regional options. I probably wouldn't have split a standard size dog like that, but that's a judgment call. The Chicaaago Dog was more like a second cousin of a Chicago dog, but it captured the flavorful point of the dog. The chili and coleslaw were both good. The Wienery is obviously very popular. People were in and out the entire time I was there. They have burgers, other sandwiches, sides, shakes and Italian Ice as well. They had inside and outside eating. Nothing fancy, but there was some fun dog themed art. They also seemed to be a popular takeout spot. 4.25 Stars

The Wienery is a little kitschy and a little gimmicky - but once you get past the wiener jokes and…read moredouble entendres, the hotdogs are actually pretty good. Their standard dogs are good, but the real magic is in the specialty fare. Note that the average diner will need at least two dogs and likely three if you're not getting a special. On a recent trip I enjoyed the Mo Dog (kraut + mustard) and absolutely loved the Rodeo Dog (Onion Strings, Crispy Bacon, BBQ Sauce, Cheese Sauce). I probably could have used a third dog because they are not huge. The Wienery is not Walter's - it is, however, a solid option in Stamford.

Got there early ahead of our reservation to get drinks at the bar. I ordered a dirty vodka martini and my husband got a gin martini. They got the order wrong and gave us both dirty martinis. I was briefly excited by them asking if I wanted blue cheese olives but even those were dry since you can see them on the bar pre-skewered, sitting in a container, not in brine. We finished our drinks and then moved to a table. We were not given water when seated. Placed an order for another round of drinks then (smartly) made the decision to order a mix of apps first before our entrees. Placed an order for another round of drinks, got the gnocchi, dumplings & wings. Food hit our table before our drinks arrived and we had to ask for water. Now onto the actual food - sadly, nothing good to say about it: - Sticky Gochujang Wings: well fried wing but WAY too much vinegar in the sauce not at all a Gochujang flavor - Sweet Chili Dumplings: Panda Express sauce a cloyingly sweet. Would expect more from a place like this. Also the filling of the dumpling tasted like it had curry seasoning? Curry + sweet chili are not flavors that mix - at least not in this dish. - Gnocchi: The sauce was broken/so grainy and gritty and the gnocchi itself SO DENSE. After this bad show, it was a no-brainer that we were gonna take our night and appetites elsewhere. So disappointing. Feels like they have a lot of service issues. Staff felt new even though they've been open for a year or so now. Unless some big changes happen, I have no interest in coming back.

I've dined here several times over the past year plus. I'm struggling with where to land this…read morereview rating-wise because the food and drinks are always really great. Service, however, can be extremely hit or miss. I feel like 4 stars is appropriate because most of the time, it's a hit -- but when it's a miss, you almost feel abandoned at your table... The couple of times this has happened, the server was also very rude. Again, 90% of the time, really great and wonderful service experience, too. Additionally, it can get very loud in the restaurant and I'm relatively soft-spoken, so it can be very difficult for me to communicate with the servers. The experience at the bar has always been so lovely. Both the outdoor patio and indoor seating... Great vibe, great lighting. I've dined here enough, solo and in groups, to have had all of the following: To sip: - Espresso Martini: Very good espresso martinis here! - Manhattan: Classic. Great. - Agave Club: Good, sweet (as expected). - Socialite: Good. They make a good, classic Negroni and the red wine offerings are good. I'm not a huge CA wine person, but their Chianti on the menu from Italy is good. Must be medium-high in sulfite levels though because I do tend to get a little stuffy... but that's ok. :) To eat: - Burrata: Delicious but you really cannot go wrong here. - Charcuterie Board: Great to share. - Rock Shrimp Bao Buns: Ordered once. I continue to do without. They are really good but for me, personally, there's better on the menu. - Oysters: Basic but delicious selection. I just love oysters. - Organic Scottish Salmon: Very good. - Black Pot Mussels - Manieri: Amazing mussels and that white wine to accompany... Perfect. - Hanger Steak: Yum. - Greens and Quinoa Salad: Love it, very sesame-forward. If you do not like sesame, do not order. If you love it, go for it. - Spicy Lobster Fettucini: This is SO. GOOD. Have ordered this several times... Once, I had it two nights in a row dining in and I love it every time. Really good pasta dish and the amount of lobster is generous and the delicate flavor, surprisingly, does not get lost. Always plated beautifully. To end: - Caramel Brioche: REALLY great dessert; decadent. - Ricotta Cheesecake Brûlée: Amazing. The blueberry marmalade is so good.
