I stopped by when attending an event nearby. We called in our order for pick up a simple medium cheese half pepperoni. When we arrived we added a 2 liter of soda which was $4.99. Since we are not from the area and were ordering to go I asked for two cups of ice for our drinks. The cashier got them for me. When I looked at the receipt after paying I noticed she charged me $1 per each cupe of ice. I had just spent $24 on a medium pizza and a two liter. The least she could do was give us two cups so we could enjoy our meal. I told her you could've at least told me that was an additional cost. I don't mind paying for things but be clear with customers. The pizza was just ok not truly NY style, but at least it was fresh out the oven. The restaurant is in a nice, walkable location. There is only street parking nearby. I probably won't visit again, overall the pizza was just ok but prices were high at this establishment. read more

Found this little spot after a visit to the local aquarium. Its Italian pizza & venezuelan food too! The venezuelan menu intrigued me as I love a good arepa. The arepa reminded me of how my mom makes them, crispy and golden with delicious flavors inside. I got the arepa reina pepiada- which is like a flavorful chicken salad with avocado and cheese. It was delicious. The actual pizza is not traditional CT or NY pizza, its a thicker slice & tastes flavorful like they make it with venezuelan cheese. Which is good but just beware if you don't like those flavors. Service was good. Ambiance is good, definitely a family friendly place with ample seating & a clean bathroom. I got two slices, one was big and the other was smaller than a regular slice, didn't make sense to me. Spent $15+ on two slices and a drink, you're better off getting a pie for that price elsewhere. Been ordering here for a few years and I think it's time I stop.. 50% of the time the order is wrong and 50% of the time they forget something. I order the empanadas and really need the sauce to enjoy them. I will even call the store to make sure they include both sauces, but they still can't fulfill the order. Last time I called them to tell them they forgot the sauces (again) and they said they were sending a driver. You think the driver came? Nope, they lied, again... Ordered a turkey club on a roll and receive a chicken cutlet on a hero.. Really poorly run business, you better hope I don't open a slice of Norwalk next door to run you out of town. They have an old menu in the window so those prices are no longer valid. I was going to get a quesadilla but instead of being $7 it was like almost 11. I got a plain slice of pizza it was almost $5 the man said the high prices were because the rents in the area were high. It looked like a typical pizza place with booths. Great spot for party pizza's. My nuggets had a birthday at Stepping Stones children's museum down the street, and we grabbed 6 jumbo Cheese and Pepperoni pies from Slice of Italy. Can only comment on their plain, very generic cheese slices. Got them a few times and each time the cheese has been plastic-like/rubbery. Served either scorching hot or luke warm. Slight sweet taste to crust. Cannot recommend. Service has not been not very good. read more

I was not only inclined to order a whole pie but to return a few days later. I love the consistency, price, quality of ingredients and size of the slice itself. Do not order the jumbo pizza. I've been here a couple times and every time I come it's after the club /bar I'll go for pizza and the staff there is so rude and unprofessional . They literally scream at their customers to get out of the building I do not understand this behavior and the fact that they yell so loud for the people to leave is disturbing I have heard them say curse words as well as they scream for the people to leave and turn off the lights as people are eating . These men act like animals and it shouldn't be that way they need special training on how to treat their customers and learn respect because last time I went one of the employees was super rude to me and disrecptpful I wish I could of got his name not only that but the pizza was cold . This place is laughable. Worst, I mean worst meatball grinder I have ever eaten. I had to take the meatballs out and just eat the cheese and bread. My wife only ate a little portion of hers and didn't want to bring it home. There is no way those meatballs are homemade. The hostess lied to me and said they were and that she loves them. Predatory lending in Pizza form. This place will charge $18 for a large cheese but if you appear intoxicated they will charge you $32. No reason for this and poor business strategy. I recommend staying away for the sheer fact that they are scumbags. I knew this walking in last night so I asked a guy walking out how much he paid - spoiler alert he paid $18. I walk up with 3 friends and they say $32. So apparently the price goes up almost 100% in minutes. They borderline motioned me to get out when I said there's no way I'm paying that much. Had a great experience here. One of the main reasons was because of very good service. We asked for a few food modifications and they were very receptive. Food came quickly and was very tasty. My son had pizza and loved it. My husband ordered a calzone and salad (he liked it and he is very picky about good food) and I got sliders. It was clean and atmosphere was nice. It's definitely casual, but pleasant. The menu also expands far past traditional pizza. There were many other options from meal sized salads, sliders and Venezuelan cuisine. We happened upon the restaurant because it was about the only option open during lunchtime on Washington St., but we were pleasantly surprised. read more

We ordered a pizza and 2 salads for delivery. I was very specific with the person that answered the phone that I wanted a well done pizza. Not only was the pizza not cooked enough but was so cold we had to put it in the toaster oven. The salads were very basic as far as add ins (cucumbers olives etc). The need to add additional flavorings was essential just to eat them. For us slice of Italy/ Venezuela restaurant is a one and done. Never again! read more

If you want an honest opinion, this place is the worst. If this place wasn't across from a college bar I don't think they would make any business. The boss is rude and the prices are ridiculous. You order something off the menu and they say it's not available. Also, a water cup (usually free) was $3.00 and a ranch packet was 75 cents. Honestly it was a waste of time spending my money with the asshole that said he owned the place. He had to get the bouncer from the bar to handle customer complaints Overall, I think this place is a laughable establishment that needs a complete change. This place is the old Sono pizza. I Love their pizza and the delivery service is super fast! Me and my boyfriend order delivery from here very frequently(3x per week) and the service is always good. There was one time when our pizza was delivered and the cheese was barely on or moved to one side, which they kindly sent another pizza when I called to let them know. Whenever we order it takes no longer than 35 minutes (45-60 on a bad day) for our food to get delivered. Great customer service! read more
