I had a need for a hot fudge shake and my dog wanted a puppy cup so off to the nearest DQ we go. The drive up was busy so I parked and went in. I stood at the front counter for more than 5 minutes while 3 employees walked by but we're careful not to make eye contact. I finally asked them what it will take to be waited on. Finally a fourth employee showed her face to take my order. I got my order but no sorry for the wait, no thank you, just set it down and walked away. Customer service is rare these days, that's too bad for the consumers and the business owners as well. read more

This is the DQ closest to my house. I love a DQ Royal New York Cheesecake Blizzard! The strawberries are my favorite part. I always ask for extra strawberries and without fail every single time I hardly get any!! Tonight there was literally only one strawberry in my blizzard. The restaurant it self was well decorated with photos hanging all around. When you asked for your item of choice, the workers would make it well done and make sure to be kind and respectful to the 50+ people they might see/serve a day. The food itself was extraordinary and made sure to have that lasting taste that makes a persons day. Overall this is one of or (in my opinion) one of the best Dairy Queen's I have ever gone to. Exactly what you would expect from a Dairy Queen except for the parking lot. It's the worst on the planet by far. There's no stellar service to be had here. You know what the food tastes like already. You know what it's going to look like and you know it won't be spotlessly clean. That describes every Dairy Queen in the United States. No surprises. Pros: Exactly what I would expect for dairy queen. Cons: Probably the worst parking lot I have ever been in anywhere, in my entire life, in any city, state, or country, across the world, since I was 10 years old. This parking lot will give you brain damage. If you make the mistake of pulling in on the far (south) side and parking in the angled spots, you will get locked in by the drive-through line and not be able to get out and is it a complete cluster F. I will avoid this Dairy Queen from here forward at all costs due to the obnoxiously ill designed parking lot. What idiot building designer thought this was acceptable? read more

I've always received good service and good product here, so that's not an issue. What surprised me is the attitude. I watched a male employee shut off the "open" sign for the lobby at 9:10 PM; they are open until 10:30 PM (11:00 PM for the drive-thru.) When I asked him he didn't respond verbally, he just shrugged, and when I asked one of the other employees she said "Oh, that other sign is on" - the one that says "drive-thru open." It's clear they didn't want to hassle with people actually coming INTO the store and would prefer everyone was drive-thru only except for the DoorDash driver they were waiting for, whose order was sitting on the counter for at least the ten minutes I was there without showing up as I watched it all melting on the counter. Bottom line, the food staff is good but the counter staff doesn't seem to really care if customers come in or what condition anything not going out the drive-thru window is in. read more

YAY for Dairy Queen. I went for free cone day and everything was smooth. I received fast friendly service from the moment I walked in the store. This location is different from others as it has a sitting area other than the regular hard plastic booths, its more of an open area that you can sit and relax. The location was clean, including the restroom and the exterior. read more

I have come here three times in the last few months. Every time the staff has been very rude! Not a word was spoke to me at the window upon paying. I asked how the ladies day was and got a shoulder shrug. To make matters even more irritating, my two item order was incorrect. I'll drive a few miles out of the way from now on to avoid coming back to this location. read more

Hannah C was working drive thru window and VERY rude. She totally sucks at customer service and when we asked her name she got very confrontational and asked why. We told her her she was being very rude and she got extremely confrontational. We asked to speak to her manager and the manager asks what happened. We told her that Hannah C was putting things out the window for us not even watching what she was doing and dropped some of our order on the ground because she wasn't even looking our way when handing things out. Hannah c told her manager we had dropped it and was arguing about it and said she was stressed out cause there were 5 cars in the drive thru. There was nobody in front of us and one car behind us when we were at the window. Her manager then apologizes for Hannah C's attitude and said she will 'put her in the back' Girls like this should stay far away from customer service. read more

This Dairy Queen is strategically placed next to the Good Samaritan hospital in Lafayette off of the 287. Genius if you ask me! When the sheer thought of having overpriced hospital cafeteria food makes your skin crawl- driving or even walking over to this DQ must sound extremely heavenly especially for frequent hospital visitors and staff. I can vouch for that since my in-laws had an unexpected stay at the hospital for more then a week during their trip to visit us from Cali. No bueno. The first drive-thru visit to Dairy Queen was good since we only got large fountain drinks. They didn't screw that easy task up, so kudos to them on a job well done! The second and last time I went there was sometime after 8pm when visitation opens up again. We drove up to the DQ window since we realized that the cafeteria might not be open when we arrive to the hospital. We ordered drinks, a sandwich, and about 6 chili cheese dogs. "The voice" over the intercom sounded shocked that we ordered so much food that they had to repeat the order to make sure. I hate it when employees make a paying customer feel like a burden. They were obviously flustered. They even asked us pull into a parking spot to wait for our order. 10+ minutes later someone brings out our food and drinks. 10 minutes is hardly acceptable even if they were near closing. There were also a number of other cars behind us and pulling in as we left. 2 stars for sounding irritated and taking their lovely time on our order. I seriously wouldn't be surprised if they added a few special ingredients just to show their gratitude. I've absolutely had better DQ service back home... Opted for this place after a very long gymnastics competition my daughter attended since it was one of the few place still open at 10 pm. The individual who took our order dropped a loud F bomb once she turned around to go make blizzards....VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. The rest of our team ordered a few things and instead of preparing food items for each family and then move on to the next one...they were just popping random blizzards on the counter. Not to mention that the same woman who took out order was wiping the paper cup (where you place your lips) with her bare dirty fingers. Fast and friendly service, but my small blizzard was probably the lamest blizzard I've ever received. There were barely any Oreos in my cup... It was basically a small cup of vanilla soft serve with an extremely tiny sprinkle if Oreo dust (not even crumbs) mixed in. I'm no glutton, and I don't require heaps of Oreos in my blizzard, but SOME would be nice. What a gyp. I'll try this location again one day, but you better believe I'll be speaking up and making sure the ingredients I pay for are included in my blizzard. read more

My son and I were the inly customers in the lobby. There were three employees working. No one acknowledged us. I assumed they were busy with the drive through, so we waited. Another 5 minutes went by and still no "we will be right with you", all three of them avoided eye contact. We left without ordering and will not return. read more

This place is as good as any DQ (and better than some)! We've been there a handful of times for dessert and they are always patient (my kids and the cousins can take their time, ask tons of questions, and even change their minds). The great staff there just take it all in stride. "Opphs, wanted chocolate ice cream in that instead of vanilla, no worries, we'll just remake it." Having DQ & Orange Julius in the same place broadens the menu and makes satisfying a larger group easier. We'll keep coming back.... read more

Every time I go here, employees are ALWAYS rude and highly unprofessional. EVERY employee were in the back, my father had to yell to the back so someone could help us. I've come to this location a lot and every time but once they have messed up my order. Most of the time I just eat it cause it's ice cream and it's not bad it's just not what I want. The few times I have taken it back they still have gotten it wrong. I will go in and say I want a blizzard. I'll even say you guys usually get it messed up cause you guys make a blizzard on the menu and I don't want that one I want chocolate ice cream Reese's peanut butter cups and chocolate fudge in the middle. Just 3 items. He comes back and it's got peanut butter fudge brownie bites in it... they made the one I just told him I didn't want. So I go back in say you made the wrong one I just want 3 items chocolate ice cream Reese's peanut butter cups and chocolate fudge. And I say please no brownies you guys put it in this one. I get the new one it has brownies nuts and they got the chocolate fudge right. They didn't tip either one like most do cause it would of poured out it was mostly melted. Am I asking to much? I get it if I'm not clear and they mess my order up by choosing the one but I spelt it out 2 times I'm so done with this place I've been there like 15 times and they have got my order right once. Damn, what happened to the flavor? It's been many, many years since I've ordered a blizzard from DQ but wow, has the ice cream really turned so bad since I've been a customer? The "Oreo" blizzard tasted of bad/out-of-date hydrox cookies and flavorless watered-down ice cream. I ate maybe three bites and threw out the rest.....wow...soooo bad, and still have the nasty fake hydrox flavor swimming in my mouth. So disappointing. read more
