The homemade chicken noodle soup (on Thursdays, along with lamb stew) is delicious! The noodles are like how my granny made them!

Stopped in on to check it out and was not disappointed. Very friendly service, great food cooked to perfection, and a nice atmosphere. You will get plenty to eat. Excellent homemade dinner starting with fresh baked warm bread in a rustic setting with friendly service and a wide variety of american food. Our 11 year old son had shrimp scampi lobster ravioli and gave it 5 stars. Our 9 year old had a bacon cheese burger and the delight when she saw a mound of curly fries. I had a delcious greek burger while my husband had a bleu cheese burger. My son said we needed to make a trip there again! Definitely stop by and enjoy dinner at Cowboy's! read more

This used to be a great place to go, I have been there twice in the last month and both times were disappointing. Never got refills on soft drinks or even water. Waitress took almost 20 minutes to even come take our food orders and that should have been our first clue to leave and take our business elsewhere. I received the wrong order due to waitress error. We never got our bread,which is the best part of the dining experience at the Cowboy Kitchen. On top of very aloof staff they were under trained. I will not be going here anytime soon. read more

This place had great homemade soup and bread. My wife had the Lamb steaks which were really good. Two huge steaks. I had the chicken fried stead which was good, but different that what I'm use too. Way to many french fries came with it, Skip the places in Price and eat here. The food and service were very good. This place has its ups and its downs. I have had pretty much everything on the menu and one night it is terrific and the next night it tastes like they cooked it three days ago. I am pretty sure that they used spam in the gravy one time for my Chicken Fried Steak......yuck! It was terrible. Same thing with their steaks. One night it is juicy and cooked to perfetion, next night it tastes like rubber. They do have a full bar though so you can use that to your advantage if you hit it on a bad night. Also, don't expect quick service, or very intelligent waitresses. There are a few girls that always seem to screw up our orders, forget our drinks, or just completely forget we are there. This is a constant even on good tasting food nights. Oh well though, we go back because it is good food on the nights that they want it to be, and they do have a reputation for their steaks. I do recommend that you go by there on Thursday for lunch and have their all you can eat chicken noodle soup for $5.00. It is delicious and they keep it coming with nice warm rolls, and peanut butter if you like it on your roll. They do have a kids menu, but it is not very wide range and no coloring for entertainment. They do have good corndogs that my kids love and they are not just microwaved ones. As always, HUGE PORTION of fries, even for the kids. If you bring kids, just make sure that they have entertainment because it is often a lengthy wait. read more

we went on 2/4/2014 for my wifes birthday my first impression was how outdated the decor was the waitress was an older lady she was trying to be nice but i got the impression we were interupting her gab session the food is very over priced for the quality. Friendly service. Portions are HUGE!! Beware, as staff does not forewarn. We didnt know, but ordered to share because prices seemed too high. $10 for basic eggs, bacon, toast breakfast. $6 for a side of bacon! Food was good, took a long time though. Wow! Just, wow! The service was excellent, the food was perfectly made, my steak was cooked to a perfect medium. And the home made ice cream, chocolate coconut crunch was gone before I could take a picture to prove it! And the extra charge for sharing pays for an extra portion of soup and salad and potatoes, the price is well worth it! read more

It took 90 minutes to receive the food from a crotchety waitress. And we literally saw a mouse (at least one) run across the dining floor. When we complained and wanted to cancel they threatened us with a $500 fine by calling law enforcement. I'll be calling the health department. And the food was as bad as the service. Service and atmosphere was great. Soup was amazing and I had the cattle filet and it was really good.

This place was so gracious. We called and they let us take the dog to the patio seating. Yes it's old but we didn't see ""dirty" like another person mentioned. The bathroom was even clean. The servings were HUGE. Fries are hand-cut curly. The salad was very fresh. The homemade bread loaf was really good. The tea and cokes were even better than average. We stopped for lunch on our way from Colorado to Montana. Service was good. No complaints, reasonable price too. read more

Definitely NOT a 3 or 4 star place- don't go here! We have eaten here 3 times. The first time we took kids, it was okay food, okay service and way overpriced. Second time was not great, hubby & I were seated in a back room and promptly forgotten, after about 10 minutes they finally remembered us, from then on food & service was semi-decent. However, the third time was the killer. Hubby wanted to go for his birthday b/c it's the only place around with lamb. We took our 2 little ones, ordered pancakes for them, lamb steak for hubby, and smoked chicken breast for me. They forgot to bring syrup for pancakes and when I asked for it acted like it was a special request?! Hubby ordered his steak rare and it came well done, they didn't even ask if it was done correctly. They didn't bring us any of the rolls that the server had raved about when we arrived. My chicken was totally dry and flavorless. And the real kicker- as she set my plate in front of me I saw her pull a hair out of the side of cottage cheese on my plate!!! Right in front of me! Yech! Will never go here again! Granted there aren't many good choices in Carbon County, but honestly you'd be better off going to Wendy's in Price. If you want a decent local place, Big Don's Pizza in Price is excellent, Balance Rock Eatery in Helper has good burgers and homemade potato chips, and Los Jilbertos in Wellington has pretty good Mexican food. read more

My family and I had picked the cowboy kitchen as an after graduation dinner. We had a group of around 20 people in our party. When we were seated our drink order was taken. I had ordered a coke and was brought a cherry coke. I had to ask our waitress three times throughout the night to bring us my sons apple juice which she didn't end up getting we had to ask another waitress. A soup and salad came with our dinner and my husbands soup was completely forgot about until everyone else at our table was served their salads, which his salad had also been forgot about. The only comment the waitress had made was, "Oh, you still want it?" At this point we were getting very frustrated but serving 20 people has got to be hard so we remained calmed. My husband had order the steak and crab legs which is $36.95. When it was brought to him he was furious that we were paying so much money for so little food. Unsatisfied with his order and his service he told them to take it back he did not want it, not taking a single bite. Well the OWNER of the company had come to our table with an alcoholic drink in his hand and appeared to be drunk ten minutes later asking who had a problem with their meal. When my husband had stated it was him he began to curse and yell at him because "he was not playing this game" He went on to shout at my husband until finally walking away. SCARED for my CHILDS safety I carried my son out to where the cash register was. When we arrived at the register we had told them we are more than willing to pay for mine and my sons food just not the meal we sent back because it was not eaten. The owner and his entire staff began to use the F word and many other curse words telling us to never return to this establishment. I had a four year old son with me and I was very, VERY concerned for his safety. Any other restaurant would have apologized for our dissatisfaction and asked us how they could make it better. This man and his entire staff was so completely unprofessional I BEG people to stop going to this business. I've never been one to complain and I have never been one to leave a bad review but this experience was one of the scariest/unprofessional situations I have ever been in. This owner is a drunk who doesn't understand how to run a business. So unless you would like to be treated like this, DO NOT go to this establishment. read more

the fresh smell of cow or horse manure Is in the air.The staff seems to have no problems or concerns about the very notice ability of very strong odor of fresh feces.I don't know if they have worked there so long they have got immune to it .If you can smell the manure that strong you know there transferring that manure everywhere.So I went and brought my family.My youngest son who was 5 years old during our visit started to get pale.I asked what was wrong and he said the smell what is that Dad its making my stomach hurt.At first I didn't notice it mainly because I was wearing cologne.I had him come smell my shirt and asked him if that was the smell and he said no.We waited for our orders so long that it started loosing its scent.It was a cheap brand my daughter bought me.When I could hardly smell it I could smell what my son was smelling at first They have an indoor wood coal furnace that covers a lot of the manure smell.When the fire died down there was no denying what the smell was. .well after about another fifteen minutes had past and at this point the smell was ungodly.My wife leaned over and said I think we should leave.She was very visually nauseous.I started to look around for an open window.I didn't see it at first but there was a game room in back with 2 pool tables and a dart board I walked back there with my 2 boys to play some pool and get away from the smell.O I was wrong it increased 7 fold.I pushed my boys behind me and told them wait here.I walk all the way in the game room.The first thing that caught my eye was about a half dozen cowboys freely spiting there chewing tobacco anywhere and everywhere .I could tell the men were not even drunk.They were treating the floor like they were out on the range.Between the manure smell and about 3 of the biggest wads of chew slowly running down the wall.Only by the grace of GOD I didn't throw up immediately.I looked down at the floor there was so many chew stains on the floor it kinda looked like a pattern you'd find on a rug or carpet.You could tell at least 80 to 90% were not fresh.It was common practice even on the pool tables there were chew stains from one end to the other to the point I started to wonder how can you play on these tables.There was no way the you could shoot the cue ball in a straight with the massive amount of bumps made from chew.It showed no evidence that anyone tried to clean the felt or the floor.The only possible reason this place was allowed to be open was either there is no food handler inspectors in this town or the food handler inspector owned the place or was receiving massive payoffs or the owner of the place had pictures of him doing ungodly acts with multiple farm animals.Upon witnessing what I saw and smelled there had to be traceable amounts of manure in the air and on the food.So I go to the waitress and tell them what I just smelled and witnessed and we would be leaving immediately She informs me were not going anywhere without paying our bill for the food.I then said what food?We had been there just over 2 hours. This Girl comes out after hearing the commotion..I tell this Lady the whole story.She says maybe you're just not man enough to hangout here.I told her the only things that should be allowed in here is live stock.Well at first she will not take the voucher I told take it cause me and my family are leaving now.she finally takes it. I look at the bill and the numbers are not adding up I grab a menu whip out my calculator feature on my cell phone do the math with taxes I do it 3 times in a roll same number all 3 times call the waitress on it.She Then Informs me If I don't eat there there is an extra fee for takeout.I start reading the fine print on the menu and there it is.well after what I just went through I would not dare take one bite.I told her keep the change from the voucher cause I'm not coming back. She then tells me I cant pay this extra surcharge with the voucher cash only..She then says yeah you better not come back or my husband will tear you limb from limb..Finally i find this guy one night This guy comes up taps me on the shoulder apologizes for his wifes big mouth and Her behavior and offers to buy all my drinks His treat all night long as much as I can drink.I told the dude i appreciate the offer it took a lot of guts to walk up to me and that is cool you offering to buy my drinks all night long and it was like only 4pm there was still 9 more hours I could of drank and easily ran up a two thousand dollars on his tab The only positive thing was how many fries they gave us per order its a big big loaf but all the food we walked out with was dumped instantly outside the front doors.I guess they finally closed down that game room.Now if the can get rid of the mass amount of cow and horse feces I might eat there also they need to drop there prices on the food way way over priced.but I guess when your the only game in town you can charge whatever you want. read more
