First, one must subscribe to a box of limited, general (e.g., beef, chicken) choices, and you don't get any choice of the cuts of meat that are within those categories. They regularly offer sales that you can add to what your base box, some good, some overpriced. Frequently, the prices for the sales undercut a previous sales price, i.e., the item could be $23 on one sale and $14 on the next. To get the best deals, one has to sift through your list of what you've added to your box, and what's in your cart can't be sorted to make this easier. I've asked for this feature, but BB doesn't incorporate suggestions. A major issue is the cutoff date. BB is on Eastern Time, thus their cutoff time is at midnight that time. Once that happens, they bill you and essentially dump the cuts in a box, seal it, and drop it on the conveyer to send it to be shipped to the last address on file. You can't make any changes of any type. Therefore, if you forgot to sift through your choices, it's too late. You'll get everything that was in your cart as of midnight Eastern time. If you've changed your address or won't be at your address, it's too late. You're screwed, a box of spoiled meats will be waiting for you. The delivery window is several days, and one can't ask for a specific date, adding notes for delivery is useless. The box(es) will be dumped on your doorstep, no knocking or bell, the delivery service rushes off as fast as possible. Customer service is virtually non-existent. Chat is unavailable most of the time, phone waits are excessive (hint: put your phone on speaker, and you may wait so long that you forgot who you called, or you may give up), email response horrible and in order received, and solutions their CSRs can offer are non-existent. This service is best for those who are always at home and only want what's in your box already. If you add items to your box, you're playing with fire. It behooves you to edit your box frequently before the imaginary ax falls on charging you, dumping the meats in a box, sealing it, and passing it to the shipper to be sent. You're largely on your own.

Thank you and God bless you, Savenor's for lasting so long, and most of all, Chef Julia Child who blessed us mere mortals with the Art of French Cooking! You were a pioneer and role model. My Mom gave me my first cookbook a labor of love co-authored by Julia Child and Simone Beck "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" as a gift.
