Small pizza and sandwich shop. We got a couple of ten inch pizzas which are individual size for an average appetite. Bottom crust is crispy, veg are fresh. Counter seating inside. One picnic table outside. Staff are very friendly.

Fantastic pizza in a little hidden gem off the main road and out of site but not ever gonna be out of our minds . The owners see such lovely and hard working people land those are the types of business we like to support the most . All The pies we got were fantastic and full of flavor . Not greatly, not floppy, and just the right amount or crisp and crunch that we love !!! Definitely check them out !

My first time trying Cowesett Pizza and it did not disappoint! I found the local pizza shop from the RI Pizza Fans page on FB and heard mixed reviews so had to try it myself! I got a Large Bar Pepperoni pizza and it was thin, crispy, and chewy. It had just the perfect amount of crisp and dough. The pepperoni was cooked perfect and had a nice perfect saltiness to it. The dough is made fresh in house. The garlic parm wings were also delicious and a good size. Great quality chicken! It was more of a dry rub on the order so next time I would order extra garlic parm on it. The staff were great! I called the order in and they picked up right away and very kind and polite. We were greeted right away when walking through the door and even the staff in the kitchen were great and let us know an update on the order while we waited. The restaurant itself is small but gets the job done. There is some indoor seating and a counter top/high top stools but I took my order to go. It's a classic RI pizza shop and I will definitely be back!

Bar pie is amazing! Not your traditional 10" SSBP, larger & still has the stained charred edges and cooked on the well side like all good BP's. Highly recommend! Very nice staff as well.

Yesterday was my first time here. Ordering online it was a breeze. Super cute little pizza shop. It was very clean inside and the two women working were very friendly. I tried the bar pizza and a small regular one. They were both awesome. The large bar pizza was huge. Nice thin crust with tons of pepperoni. I got pepperoni and olives on the small. As much as I enjoyed the bar pie, I think I liked the regular better. Maybe it's because that had olives on it too, which were very tasty. I will definitely be back, highly recommend!

3 of the "tenders" were the size of half dollars-ridiculous.

Came for the bar pie and it did not disappoint. It was perfect. I love my pizza well done and thats just as it comes when you order it this way. Also ordered the chicken tenders platter-fries ans chicken were good but 3 of the "tenders" were more like chicken nugget size so that was a disappointment. $36 for the pizza, onion rings and tenders platter which I thought was a great deal. More of a take out place in my opinion even though there are some tables and bar stools. Order was promised in 30 minutes and came out right on the dot which is always appreciated. Will go back for the pizza again for sure!

I have 5 words for you.. Bar Pie from Cowesett Pizza. I've heard a lot of buzz about cowesett being a stand and finally just got around to try it. We went specifically for their bar pie which created a a lot of buzz in a specific FB group that discusses pizzas locally so had high expectations going in. As soon as we walked in the staff was very friendly to greet us and let us know our order would be up in a couple minutes. Inside was small with a little bit of seating, gave off classic pizza joint vibes which was cool and usually means you are in for a good one! At a glance the pie was looking delicious and indeed it was. This pizza was fantastic. Perfectly cooked, zero flop, and the well done edges were great! Their large is huge but it was so good we almost took it down in one sitting lol. They loaded it up with ronni and it held up on the first no problem. Only complaint I have about it was maybe a little more sauce but no big deal, overall delicious pizza and can't wait to go get another one!

I placed an order online for a thin crust, pizza cooked crispy and a steak and cheese with mushroom. Everything was ready when I arrived, the cashier was very friendly and confirmed everything in my order and I was on my way. Pizza was thin crust as requested and cooked perfectly! Absolutely delicious. Steak and cheese was great as well. My only complaint is the steak was a little salty, but I added some fresh cracked pepper to help balance it out and it was perfect. We really enjoy their square pizza cooked well done. It's good next day as left overs too. I think the pizza sauce has changed recently. The last time we ordered a take away Ceaser salad, I think it may have been a kit with tiny croutons and packet dressing. We had visitors and ordered several items including pasta with just parmesan cheese one guest requested. We added butter and they loved it! Ordering online gives you the option to add or remove items and leave special instructions. They have limited seating inside. Most business is take away. Plenty of parking. Not sure if they have a public restroom. Restaurant is clean and wheelchair accessible.

The reputation arrives first…read more Walk into Frank Pepe's on Universal Boulevard in Warwick, and a hundred years of reputation walks in with you. The original is on Wooster Street in New Haven. It opened in 1925. Frank Pepe was a 32-year-old Italian immigrant from the Amalfi coast who had been selling pies from a hat, carrying them on his head through the neighborhood market to feed factory workers who needed something hot and good and cheap. He saved enough to open a real restaurant. He built an oven. The oven stayed put for over 100 years, because you do not move a hundred thousand pounds of brick. His nickname was Old Reliable. That history is sitting at the table with you whether you know it or not. The Warwick location lit its coal-fired oven in the spring of 2018. Seven years of continuous heat. The bricks are absorbing it slowly, not all at once but building. You can taste what they share with the original, which is the part that matters. We ordered the tomato pie with meatballs. This is the right call at Pepe's and I am not apologizing for it. The tomato pie is where the place began. Two items on the original 1925 menu: tomato pie and tomato pie with anchovies. No mozzarella because there was no refrigeration. Constraint became tradition the way it always does, faster than philosophy ever manages. At Pepe's, mozzarella is optional. Pecorino and the tomatoes and the crust are the baseline, and the baseline is the argument. The sauce is crushed Italian tomatoes. That description undersells it. The sauce at Pepe's has been refined for a century to carry a pie without a cheese safety net, which means it has to be bright and acidic and complex enough to hold its own against char and dough and whatever is riding on top of it. The meatballs were sliced thin across the tomatoes and seasoned all the way to the center. That is rarer than it should be. Then there is the crust. The coal-fired oven runs somewhere above 650 degrees. The char on the edge is not decorative. It contributes a bitterness that cuts right through the acid in the tomatoes. They need each other. The leopard spots across the bottom of the pie tell you the heat and the timing were right. The crispness is structural. The chew underneath it is real. We also ordered the grilled chicken pie. Yes. At Frank Pepe's. The room has opinions and the room can have them. What I did not expect was for the chicken to be a genuine star. Not pulled, not scattered, not the afterthought that grilled chicken usually is on pizza. These were proper chunks, with intentional size, juicy in a way that should not survive a 650-degree coal oven but somehow did. Substantial. The kind of protein that makes you feel good, even though it's on a pizza. When I eat it, I feel like I'm taking vitamins. It tastes healthy. There is a lot of it. It is delicious. These three things rarely show up together on a pizza and Frank Pepe's managed all three without making it feel virtuous in the annoying way. It felt like a reward. Frank Pepe's in Warwick is not the original. Nothing will ever be the original. The original is on Wooster Street in a city that built its identity around this particular pizza and has been arguing about it for a hundred years. What the Warwick location is, is an honest attempt to bring the New Haven style here. The coal is real. The oven is real. The sauce is the sauce. The crust is the crust. Seven years of heat in those bricks doing the work that oven was built to do. Great room. Great service. Really great pizza. Old Reliable.

There was a wait of about 20 minutes and the wait for the pizza would have been another 30. There were about 2 waiters walking around that seemed slammed. I ended up leaving and returning later that night. I took the advice of one of the patrons from earlier and ordered online. I ordered a medium pizza with Pepperoni, Sausage and Bacon for $38!!!! When we arrived the pizza was ready so we sat down and ate as there was hardly anyone there the second time around closer to 9pm. The waitress was extremely nice. The pizza is beyond basic and I was highly disappointed. The pizza was unevenly cut and the toppings all just fell off the pizza. I needed a fork to eat the pizza. Sadly they didn't have any knives. The bacon was nonexistent. I couldn't believe I just wasted $40 on a circle of soup. I won't be returning. This place just isn't for me.

The…read moreactual geographic center of New England is Dunbarton, New Hampshire, two and a half hours north, and nobody from Rhode Island is driving there for pizza. Coventry is, however, the geographic center of Rhode Island, which means whoever named this plaza was close, swung big, and overshot by about one state. None of that matters. Inside, Fratelli's is clean, sunny, and bright. Patterned tile floor, white subway tile on the walls, a wood counter running along the window where you can watch cars pull in and out while you eat. A Pepsi cooler. A TV with a cheese ad on a loop. The room is not trying to wow you, even though it's very nice. They just want to feed you. In addition to their hand tossed pizza, they make Detroit style here, and they make it correctly. The pan comes out lined with parchment, the frico edge running dark and almost black in the corners, caramelized down to something that crunches and adds a welcome bitter contrast to the flavors. The sauce goes on top after the cheese, the way it's supposed to be. Flip a slice and look at the bottom: deep amber gold, wall to wall, the kind of color that takes a well-oiled pan and real heat and no shortcuts. The inside of the crust pulls apart in layers. I ordered half pepperoni, half grilled chicken. The pepperoni did what pepperoni does you know the drill. The chicken is what you need to know about. Big chunks, marinated, substantial in a way that most pizza chicken has no clue about. Not the pale, dried-out afterthought that shows up on a lot of pies when someone tries to do something other than sausage or pepperoni. This was the kind of chicken that makes you stop mid-slice and reconsider whether you should have ordered a whole chicken pie. I didn't expect to reach a verdict this fast. This is as good as any Detroit pizza I've found anywhere in the state. It's a strip mall but don't judge the book by its cover, order the Detroit, get the chicken.
