American Paintball Coliseum - Paintball Airsoft & Laser Tag

We did the laser tag…read more As you know you never want to run over young children as your are engaged nor while focusing on a friendly opponent, do you want to be eliminated by a rascally kid shooting you in the back. Plus the equipment is minimal. No vest harness, no head harness, just the laser gun provided which gives it that urban warfare feel. Because of this there is no shooting in the back only front torso and gun can be targeted. The attendants were very attentive and helpful. They even cheered us on. Say hi to David when you go. Only improvement I would suggest is more merchandise like different t - shirts, hoodies, cups and water jugs. Maybe even ribbons or shirts with "Laser tag Killa" , "Can't tag this" (I give consent to use above tag lines). Even small lockers to rent and lock up valuables.

Beware if you are planning a kid's birthday party here…read more I booked my son's 11th birthday party at the Phoenix location after calling ahead to confirm details. When we arrived, the information given over the phone turned out to be completely inaccurate. Rather than helping us navigate the confusion their phone rep caused, the staff and on-duty manager were hostile, dismissive, and visibly annoyed with us from the start. For the entire three-hour reservation, every basic question from parents was met with extreme impatience and rudeness. We were made to feel like a complete nuisance just for being paying customers trying to run a safe, fun event for 11-year-olds. Managing group events can be hectic, but taking frustration out on kids and parents is unacceptable. Save yourself the stress and take your family celebrations somewhere that actually values customer service.

I'm so glad we chose not to buy from a bigger sporting goods chain like Dicks and came here. We had a very good personalized 1 on 1 experience with Dylan and Tanner who were very knowledgeable and helpful with helping my son choose the right glove. They have a great selection of bats and gloves amongst other baseball and softball equipment here. The store is just big enough without being overwhelming. I can't thank Tanner and Dylan enough for the wonderful experience. They also have glove break in service which is normally $60 but $30 if you buy the glove from them. Since we are out of state they said they could keep the glove and complete the service which is 5-7 days and then ship to us. 10/10 recommend!!!

UPDATE: I'm upgrading my review to 5 stars because Dylan the manager reached out to me later in…read morethe day and was kind enough to offer me an exchange for another set of catchers gear...huge turnaround for what I consider to be a large purchase. Customer service like this will definitely bring me back as a customer! Wish there was a zero star option. Bought $300 catchers gear for my daughter's birthday (of course no way to try it on first since it's online). Their site claims easy, hassle free returns/exchanges;however, somewhere on the site (mind you, not on the listing or the actual order) their policy states no refunds/returns on any item discounted over 25%. I'm now stuck with ill fitting gear (which is correct size according to sizing guide). I offered to buy a $400 set in exchange and they offered a 15% discount if I order from them again...why would I buy there again when I'm stuck with a crummy purchase? If you're getting a "good deal", make sure you're getting exactly what you need, or you will be stuck with it...poor customer service! Never again.

So we had 200 paint balls. We did run out a bit quicker but if you don't shoot a lot your good with 200. 100 went by the first half, some went even quicker. So you get on the truck and they drive you around and you shoot zombies. They will let you know when your at your half way point and when it's the last scene to shoot zombies so you can use all your paintballs. I suggest you wear like gym shoes cause it's a rocky area. Also it's pretty dark where you walk and park. Happy there's no parking fee. There is a sign for parking.

Zombie WarZ makes sure that innocent civilians are prepped to rise to such an occasion! What a better way to keep the zombies at bay by shooting them?! Well at least, safely, with paintball guns! Often the biggest question I'm asked is: "Do you also get shot at?" Luckily, no you do not. Zombies do not shoot paintball guns so you are safe from getting hit! Instead, you ride military like vessels driving around to zombie infested areas with mounted paintball guns ready for action! Zombie WarZ is very family friendly! Our group of 30+ people had a couple kiddos and they just had a blast! Like I mentioned earlier, the paintball guns are mounted so they are safe from kids, and adults..., from shooting themselves or any humans. You can still point the guns up and down and side to side so targeting is still feasible! The front end of the truck holds 9 civilians, and the double decker trailer had the rest of our crew. Each part of the truck had a soldier helping us with ammo if needed and adjusting our guns if needed (especially if a novice like I accidentally switches the safety on and can't shoot anything).. Becky (or Becca?) our soldier was amazing! She was animated and so much fun! There were also rock tunes playing to get us in the zombie shooting mood! We definitely all enjoyed our experience immensely!

Can't complain too much since it's only $15 to add a rental package online ($18 in-person, which is annoying). How about raise it to $20 flat and get some new gear that works reliably = 2 stars The Pro Shop has a good selection of guns and accessories at fair prices compared to online Airsoft retailers. The knowledge of the salespeople however, isn't as good. I get better answers from AI on my phone while standing at the counter. The online reservation system is AWFUL!!! The website is difficult to navigate unless you read by picture. Looks more like multiple flyers glued to a screen that have hidden links in some, but not others. When you select a date, time, and location you end up with the right date and location, but varying times. I booked for 2 people for the 12pm - 4pm session and ended up with one at 12pm and the other @ 4:30pm. = 1 star The staff is friendly and generally helpful in getting issues worked out. That definitely helps, but with all of the online reservation stuff that has to be un-FUBARed, it takes away from the experience and play time. I'm not a web designer, but with most people using technology to purchase goods, services, and experiences, you'd think they'd do some market research to gather feedback on how to build a user-friendly website. We haven't tried any of the other Airsoft locations in Phoenix, but after our three (3) past experiences, I'm ready to move on from VIP Airsoft. It kinda sucks, because this place is close to our house and easy to get to.
