So today I cut the cox cable and save almost 200 dollars on my bill. Quinton, the young man tht helped, me was very nice and professional. We got everything turned in and off. Just waiting for the change on the bill. Only complaint is there were quite a few folks in the queue and only a couple associates working. Review # 71 ** Note: "This is a NEGATIVE -1 MILLION STARS!!!" DO NOT GET COX! They rob you! When you call to say you're moving to another state & have to find a place, they NEVER ANSWER the transfer or cancel service phone #. It just rings for hours!! I could not transfer to a place yet as I had no idea what place I was moving into! People have to move into a new place first, find everything to set up, get TV's mounted on the wall, find cable cords, find the printer, etc, & it can possibly take months based on your situation! But they still charge you when nothing is plugged in & you've moved almost 2 years ago? Highway ROBBERY!!! Even when you go into the store to talk to a live person, they say they will turn off the service as you have nothing plugged in & they KNOW you aren't connected at all to any of their services & they still charge you. I came into this store directly last summer to get Cox in Virginia to stop charging me for no service as nothing was plugged in & I had moved to OK. They said they would take care of it, but they haven't & are still charging the card. I was a Cox customer for over 10 years starting in Colorado, then Florida, then Virginia, as I was in the Air Force & moved every few years. They have made over tens of thousands of dollars off me, as a member of the Air Force; then as a civilian. Even while I was deployed while living in Virginia, but in the Middle East, I kept my services & paid when I wasn't even using them; as it was too difficult to get it turned off for 4 months then come back from the deployment & get them reinstalled, as I didn't have time to deal with their red tape and LACK OF SERVICE; as I only had a few weeks to prepare for my deployment & literally got no sleep for 2 weeks before just from what I had to do personally & military wise before I could leave. Cox is lying, stealing, & cheating people all over the US; including this Veteran who served her country! I worked 18-22 hour days in the Air Force, even as a contractor supporting the government, sometimes 7 days a week with no overtime pay & you can't even get Cox to be legal & not charge people, including Veterans who served them & their right to have a business to make money? I am pretty sure Satan is the CEO of Cox Communications. They are the most greedy and self-interested company on the planet and their employees lack any sense of human decency. They will argue with you nonstop if you try to change or disconnect service. They are practically bullies. Polite, clean and that's about the only compliment. They go EXTREMELY out of their way to sell you stuff you dont want or need. On top of that this is the second time I have transferred service to a new address and I was told it was cancelled at my old residence... BOTH TIMES THEY LEFT THE OLD PLACE ACTIVE!! I then went into the store to cancel the account at the old address. They then again left it open. COX has a monopoly on internet service in Oklahoma and it's a main reason I can't wait to leave. I've lived in Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and here. This is the only state I have had this trouble in. Terrible service read more

Very poor customer service, not honoring the original service agreement price. Cox transfer the service to another address for unknown reason. Had to pay for transfer fees and the bundle deal price went from $115 to $195 a month.. After the twevel month contract, decided to drop the cable service. Now paying for basic internet $125 .. I called COX customer service and spoke to Jennifer, who was not helpful and left her compassion and personality at home. I decided to go to the COX store in search of better service. I walked in to the store and there were about 6 people in front of me. I was pleasantly surprised by how fast the line moved. We were greeted and served by Kristina. Kristina had a great personality and was very helpful with the changes we wanted to make to our service. Over all I would say three stars because I only had pleasant encounters with the storefront/staff. Cox cable as a whole I would give 1 star because they prey on the lower enlisted in the barracks. I pay the same now for my 2 bedroom which is $80 dollars a month. So with that said definitely shop around. read more
