We bought high end vinyl flooring here and had it installed by them. The installers and the person who came to check it before install to provide a quote were so experienced, professional, and hard working. We got multiple quotes and their proficiency was so much greater than the competition, it wasn't remotely close. I hope that everyone who gets flooring gives these guys a chance to give them a quote. Purchase a floor with Coyle through Premier Builders. Hardwood floor was peeling before we even took occupancy. They fought with us for a year about replacing. When they finally did the new planks began peeling again in 6 months. They refused to replace or fix the new planks or offer a refund. Home Depot and Menards sell a superior product and better warranty. Time for Coyle to go out of business! read more

We worked with great people at Coyle. Teri Cheramy was great helping us chose carpet for our bedrooms, hallway and stairs. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and her expertise was very much appreciated. Our install team led by Jim Waldner was prompt and worked efficiently to get the install done on time. We had a difficult stair area and they handled it perfectly. They were respectful of our home, and it seemed as though they hardly took a break all day. They cleaned up great after the install. petty ripoff artists Should have read the Yelp reviews before even walking in their door. These guys purposely round up all their estimates then tell you they have to make them that large to allow for the carpet size. Total BS. Shoddy installation is just icing on the cake. Ironic that they were offering free installation for their anniversary year only to rip you off on the measurements to make up for it. If you are dead set on using these guys (and I cannot imagine why you would) make sure you agree with measurements beforehand. They even left all their "extra" in our basement to just show us what asshats they are. See photo. read more

My experience was really good! Since I was early ine of the sales lady got me stared on looking at samples(sorry I can't remember your name) but you were awesome. My sales man Grant was very helpful and didn't push things onto me. I said I want this no samples I know what I want. Installation guy (sorry didn't catch the name) awesome guy)!! & awesone job!! On time did the job & he was on his way to the next job!! This dude needs a raise!! I gave it 4 because there was a big lag of communication on getting some one here. But over all. Very poor customer service. Had a sales person (Josh) come out to look at a very large area to have carpet replaced due to flood damage. The rep took measurements and samples of the existing tile and carpet. Two weeks later I have not heard a word. I text him to please return our samples. He apologized brought the samples back that I gave him and left them in our lobby. I call Coyle to speak with a manager. I was put into Tom Coyle mail box. I left a message but did not hear back. This was my second bad experience with Coyle and I will not go back. read more

Due to some unforeseen New Year commemoration, where libations flowed freely... onto our carpet, we were in need of a carpet replacement. We called our builder and he suggested getting a carpet remnant to replace the ruined patch of carpet. He recommended Coyle Carpet One, and ask for Brad. I went on a weekday to see about this Brad. Went into the showroom with only a couple of other customers in there. A few of the female employees avoided eye contact. It was moments later when I was able to finally flag someone to help me, to direct me to Brad. Brad came out with already a smug look on his face as if I had interrupted his dismal schedule. I offered a handshake, to which he reluctantly extended his hand. I told him of my situation and asked if I could buy a couple sq ft of the carpet sample I had. Brad responded with s snicker, followed by "we don't sell that small of a size". I said okay what's the minimun I'd have to purchase? He grumbled then replied, "I work mostly in commercial, with bigger clients". What salesman of the year doesn't he understand the basic of sales? That a small project could lead to a bigger project? I was too aghast at this horrendous customer service to mention that we were in the midst of seeking out subcontractors to build our new home. Sorry Coyle, you just lost a large future, residential client, as well as any potential referrals. With the big box stores offering low prices and free or reduced installations, I would think a free-standing, local business would make up for those facts with solid customer service. But I guess I'm wrong. If you are ever in need of carpet repair or installation with sincere, un-pompous service, call Quality Carpet Installations. PM me for their contact information. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat. QCI actually gave me the time of day for my mundane request, they also got the contract for our new home construction. Whatever you do, don't go through brad. The carpet was installed wrong, so they had to fix it. It took a long time to get resolved. We had also tried to have backsplash installed and ordered it around the same time as the original carpet order. They did not order the backsplash and would not respond to our messages. We eventually had to go somewhere else since they would not let us know what was going on. I will never go with them again. Their customer service leaves much to be desired. read more

Coyle's prices and choice of materials were comparable to other show rooms in Madison. The deciding factor was their floor consultant - better in terms of communication, responsiveness and knowledge. We signed contract to have Coyle install heated floor, wall and floor tile We were encountering several issues since 1st day of installation 1. The tile installer arrived 4 hours later than scheduled. Nobody informed us about his schedule change. My husband wasted all morning, at home waiting for the guy. 2. When connecting thermostat to heating wires, the installer didn't know what the backup wire was for, so he left it out. My husband told him what it does and that it has to be installed. It required lifting previously set tile, which later became completely loose. 3. On the last day of work we still had 5 unopened boxes of wall tile. Coyle employee who measured our simple rectangular bathroom grossly miscalculated. We spent close to $ 1ooo more for excess of materials. Coyle refunded us for it. 4. There are corners that don't match, grout lines width vary, and the edges of some tiles are jagged. Attached pictures are of 5 different corners. One wall has lippage, we saw it much later, because it is noticeable only in a certain light. We didn't address it with Coyle. 5. After 2-3 weeks of using the shower a solid drip/puddle was forming on the basement floor directly under the tub.The caulk around the tub was incorrectly applied (by Coyle), resulting in water pooling and spilling over the bathtub lip into the basement. Open basement ceiling allowed us to catch the leak early and prevent water damage. Imagine if something like this happened in a bathroom over finished room, and water was slowly pooling in the ceiling... My husband replaced the caulk around the tub himself. We did not inform Coyle about this; there was nothing else they could have done. No drips ever since. 6. 3 months later I noticed cracked/loose floor grout. Contacted Coyle, they did not respond. It took a trip to the store to get a phone call and installation manager Chad to look at it. He was unable to tell why the tile was moving, said that the entire floor was moving and needed to be replaced. A month later (after another email to the store) Chad showed up. This time he said our house is not suited to have a tile floor due to inadequate support causing floor deflection, and the only remedy is to put a support beam in the basement or have vinyl floor instead. He also said that probably only 2-3 tiles and grout will have to be replaced. He said he would come back 3 days later to discuss the resolution with my husband. Chad never came back or called that day and not for another 1,5 months. My husband wasted a day waiting for him. I send an email to the store. I also requested that if Chad insisted we have floor deflection, he needs to demonstrate the problem through specific measurements. We had a tile floor before the remodel and never had an issue, so we didn't believe Chad's opinion and had 2 independent professionals in the meantime come to the house to verify that. Both of them were able to show us how they measured it, present the results and rule out deflection. Week later we talked to sales director Troy. Can't say much about this guy either. He did not even acknowledge how unacceptable this whole situation was. It also came out during the conversation that Chad did not measure our joists correctly and his opinion about floor deflection was based on incomplete and incorrect data. Troy ignored my request to provide floor deflection measurement. We were very clear that we expect final resolution of this problem, whether it was getting the floor fixed or getting a full refund. Two days later he called my husband and said that they still believe we have floor deflection and as a resolution will give us a full refund for the floor (materials and labor). I was hoping that they would take the bait and easy way out, even though I knew that in the end new floor would cost us more than the refund was (demo). I was so sick of Coyle though, that I was ready to pay more, if that meant I don't have to see or talk to them again. As we were suspecting our house does not have floor support problem, it was a Coyle's incompetency that caused this situation. I was purposely waiting months with this review to make sure everything works like it should and I didn't speak too early. Needless to say, we highly regret hiring Coyle. All the boasting on their website is trash. People can have good experience but the bad reviews are real too, and there is a common theme there. It shows that Coyle is consistently lacking in certain areas. They might do a good job, but they might not. It's not worth to risk your money and time to take that gamble, especially with company who avoids customers post transaction and is dishonest. Its been a few years - but the sting of working with this company still makes me sick. Classic case of way overselling - and way under delivering. We got hardwood floors on our whole lower level from them except for one room we did carpet. Install took forever and we figured out why - they would send two people out in the morning (a seasoned vet and a new kid learning the ropes). Once we went to work the vet left and the kid stumbled thru by himself. Install took twice as long as they promised and had many issues. They also don't do floor trim. They'll take it off, trash it, break it etc - but its up to you to find someone to do that after they are done with the floors. In the end after lots and lots of complaining, the top guys did try to make things good with us. That was at least decent but it shouldn't have gotten that bad to begin with. I would suggest others try someone else for flooring. read more

Horrible installation job and customer service. We built a new home and Coyle was the company used to install our carpet and wood flooring. They did not show up the day they were scheduled, or the following day, pushing back our completion date. Then after it was installed there were lumps in the carpet on the steps and throughout the house. We had literal gaps between some parts of the carpet and the trimming throughout the basement. Just an overall poor job. After trying to get their attention a few times we finally got them to come out and look at the carpet. The guy tried to stretch it to fix it but ultimately we had to schedule them to come out again and replace the carpet on the stairs which had been installed incorrectly and fix the wood panels that were bowing. He tried stretching the basement carpet to fix the gaps. We had to call them a few times more to get them to come out to patch the basement carpet, which the stretching didn't really fix. They offered to replace it completely if we wanted it. We've been trying to get in touch with them again to discuss replacing it and get the spare wood floor parts that they had told us they'd deliver. We've called many times getting their voicemail and haven't received any calls or been able to get in touch with them. read more
