I went to the back to find another worker who said I had to speak with the owner to order. The owner was now on the phone and continued to ignore me. There was not another customer in the store! This place was so cute! And the prices weren't bad either. I usually encounter these specialty chocolate places accompanied with a higher price tag but CD is reasonably priced. They also have a lot of different designs and flavors and choices to choose from. They have cute arrangements and baskets already made for any upcoming holiday. They also have a backroom that sells chocolate or candy molds. They have a la carte chocolate pieces by weight as well in the front end of the store, that selection is a little smaller but they have the basic go to choices :) read more

Very satisfied with how the cake pops came out! I ordered a dozen funfetti flavored tennis balls and a dozen red velvet penguins for my boyfriends birthday! They came out adorable! I didn't need that many but that was the minimum to order despite being quoted per piece originally. I opted to get them anyway and happy I did cuz my bf loved them! Hubby bought back some dark chocolate salted caramel truffles. Everyone loved them so much we went back the next day. We got some more of the caramel as well as the bacon pretzel clusters. Kids birthday party was a complete disappointment from the teenage staffers who ran the party and huddled and chatted amongst each other to the sheet cake from BJs Wholesale. The fact that a bakery would put out a birthday cake from BJs Wholesale Club with the price sticker on the box speaks volumes toward the effort that they put in toward birthday parties. read more

Avoid the chocolates. They taste stale and not good at all. They should really put best buy dates on them.

Needed some dark chocolate to make some chocolate covered apricots. The place is huge and has what looks like thousands of different molds. They also carry all different kinds of candy making supplies. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. They had two different kinds of dark chocolate Merchens & Clasens. Merchens is the more popular brand and one I had herd of before. I asked the woman behind the counter what the difference was between the two brands. She said that Clasens quality control is better and they guarantee no contamination from any peanut or nut products. That was really important as my wife is allergic to peanuts. I decided go with 5 pounds of Clasens dark chocolate. I got home and made my self a few dozen Dark chocolate covered apricots. They were totally delicious. I would totally recommend The Chocolate Duck for all your candy making supplies. The team here is great and customer service is over an beyond. read more

This shop is very over priced and the girls that work in the front are very rude! I come here bc it is convenient and I can get edible images printed. However, every time I order an edible image to be printed and ready at a specific date and time, when I arrive it is NEVER done! And then the girls have the nerve to get an attitude with me that I'm upset. If a customer orders something to be done at a specific date and time and they show up even 24 hours after the confirmed date and time and their order isn't even started yet, they have the right to be upset. read more

If you are into cake decorating or candy this is the place for you. I've been here twice and they have almost everything you could think of to make some candy or make a cake and decorate it. It's most definitely a pro supply place. They have candy mold upon candy mold. I even found phantom masks here and bought them right away with some white chocolate. Who knew they would have something to do with my obsession. If I ever get into making candies hardcore or even some cake decorating this is a place I'll stop in at for supplies. One cautionary word if you are looking for ribbon to add to a cake you might want to get it elsewhere as it seems their ribbon collection is slightly lacking. read more

When I question it with the manager he told me that's how it's suppose to look. Red velvet cake is not suppose to be made with red food coloring. The cake was very dry and had no flavor. Unfortunately, I don't seem to be as crafty as most of their customers, but when I wanted to make some (boo-hoo) Mets themed pretzels and oreos, they were able to set me up with easy projects that came out gorgeous (and delish). I recently ordered a specialty cake, cupcakes, cake pops, cookies and chocolate for my twins first communion, and Christina more than fulfilled my expectations. I provided images of different cakes that I liked and she was able to take my favorite elements and create a custom cake that was everything I hoped for and then some... and all the other treats looked just as beautiful. This place really does have everything you could possibly need if you want to bake. Whether you are looking for something simple like a cake pan, or you are a professional baker and need some high tech equipment and supplies then you got the right place. Is it expensive? I think so. Depends what you need. I am not an expert in the baking industry. However they often have sales. It really depends on the item you want. I get my cupcake tins way cheaper there then at a supermarket, not to mention they have an incredible selection. The man that owns the store has had problems with many customers. He has been rude many times I have been in there, and a lot of my friends do not shop there anymore for that reason. However the last couple of times I have been there he has been very pleasant and helpful. Who knows maybe someone finally told him off. I have bought already 'baked' or created items from this place as well. Such as chocolate easter bunnies or cake pops. All very delicious and highly professional looking. Prices seem competitive with all the other big baking places around. Cake pops are expensive especially fancy once like this place makes. I really love shopping here. They have everything!!!!! If you are into chocolate and chocolate molds, this place may look like your heaven. Just picked up some fondant and sugar sheets for cupcakes I am going to make. I love how they do not have a credit chard minimum as well. Sometimes I have to run in there to grab something small, and using my card is never a problem. I placed an order for a specific item. I went to pick it up and the workmanship was HORRIBLE. When I brought it to the gentleman's attention he looked at me like I was nuts. The colored chocolate was bleeding into the milk chocolate. The chocolate was not shiny as it should be. The gentleman stated here was nothing wrong with the item. I advised him that the colors were bleeding. He stated that I did not have to take the item and he would refund me. I did not want to be refunded. I wanted a product that I was not embarrassed to give to someone. He then went into the back and can back with a better one. I don't understand why I had to be aggravated.
