Although the Coyo Taco located in Wynwood is not my favorite, I decided to give an opportunity to the one in Brickell. The experience here is very different because the place is much more spacious and comfortable. Well maintained, clean and has a good atmosphere. The staff is friendly and the service quite fast, which was just what I was looking for at that moment in a Saturday afternoon. We ordered the shrimp bowl burrito, the Pollo Al Carbon burrito and the corn esquite to share. Very fresh, tasty and well presented. Everything was delicious! The only thing is that it is difficult to park here. There is a parking lot around the corner but it costs $10 (all day)! I recommend going around the streets nearby until you find a spot. read more

Not much parking in the Brickell area. Parked a few blocks away on a Saturday night not so shabby as you could enjoy the scenery. We got there just as they were about to close but we were able to make our order. I ordered the burrito bowl plain and the fried quinoa on the side and he ordered the chicken burrito bowl. Beware of the lunch madness & the extensive lines. The food is fresh and very tasty. The prices are somewhat high for a mexican taco & burrito type of place, but I guess you pay for the "hypster" vibe and the Brickell location. Stopped in to get a drink bar opens @3pm however happy hour is 4-6. They didn't have a cocktail menu but just an advertisement for maragaritas of different flavors. Decided to order a mango maragarita which was pricy since it wasn't happy hour ($12). Maragarita was well balanced with all flavors. I then called the coyo taco brickell to make sure they got my allergy memo and the girl that answer said thay yes she saw the memo and that there will be NO cream and NO rice on my order. I got my order and it had both!!! i called to complain with the sme girl and she told me in a rude way to put my complain thru the uber eats app!! Wow!!!!! Let me preface by saying I really like Coyo taco in general. The Brickell location is very close to me and I've been satisfied most of the time. That said I've had several instances where they've taken a very long time to complete my order, both pre and post Covid. What promoted my review today is I order two tacos and a side of rice, not a big order. 1 hr 15 mins later I call and they claim order is ready but Uber eats driver is t there. Well according to app he's been waiting for 10 mins. I text Uber eats and he says order is not ready. So I'm the I get my food almost an hour and a half after I order, not because of delivery time. And of course my food is cold. I'm writing this more because in really like Coyo but I'm disappointed in there inconsistent service time and how they handle this. read more

It's surprising that a chain taco shop can be SO delicious (except for Taco Bell ;)) the thing that surprises me is how great the vegetarian options are! Very fun place to hang out and get a quick yet good bite to it. There are some outdoors table which are great for when we have the dogs with us, but in the summer it gets really hot. We've come here a few times late at night for tacos before heading to one of the nearby watering holes. Food is consistently good, prices are fair and once you place your order, you're given a number to take to your table so your food can be delivered once it's prepared. They have a decent selection of condiments and toppings at the salsa bar, and also a few bottles of hot sauce and other condiments at the tables. One recent Friday night when we came here they had 2 DJs spinning. It was actually quite comical, as one of the DJs was working away, doing all the usual button twists and turns that actually do little to nothing but are done primarily for show, while the other DJ stood next to him, clapping along and dancing as if his body was experiencing some type of spasm. When the DJ went to take a leak, the clapping boy stepped in and took over. Both were largely ignored by the customers who were concentrating on eating and talking among themselves. I hope Coyo Taco wasn't paying much for the "services" of these DJs, as they really didn't add much to the experience...Except causing patrons to have to shout over the music to be heard by the people sitting directly across from them while dining. read more

Had THE best lunch here yesterday! Sweet location right off Brickell & great playlist. I came with a co-worker & we everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! I had the HONGOS SALAD BOWL (organic greens, guacamole, pumpkin seeds, queso fresco, chipotle) & it was spectacular! Perfectly seasoned sautéed mushrooms & onions over a beautifully dressed & flavorful salad. HUGE portion (enough for 3 to share) & incredibly fresh. We also ordered tacos. The CAMARON (achiote, seared gulf shrimp, citrus slaw, chipotle aioli, guacamole) & the GROUPER FRITO (modelo beer battered florida grouper, roasted jalapeño aioli, avocado) to share. They were both amazing & again, SO fresh & flavourful! My only qualm is that you can't mix & match. A taco order comes with 2 so if you want variety, bring a friend. I LOVE tacos and anything with avocados, so it wasn't a hard sell. We decided to split the pulpo tacos as well as the carne al pastor, obviously with a side of guacamole. The Pulpo came in a flour tortilla, which was a nice switch, and the al pastor came in a (handmade!) corn tortilla. Both delicious! The tortillas were really good too! Guac was super fresh, the salsa bar had about 8 different choices - which was also awesome. I think this is a chain? But didn't have a "factory" feel to it, as some fast-casual chains do. I am constantly being accused of hyperbole and for good reason. But please don't let my hyperbolic reputation detract from me saying that the hongo salad at Coyo Taco was the absolute best most perfect salad I've ever had. It was a hefty, big ole boy placed chicly on a tray lined with a sheet of loteria print paper. It was so complex and diverse in flavor, texture and color; each bite saturated in tastiness. An average spoonful would be sweet from the dressing, tangy from the queso fresco, crunchy from the pumpkin seeds and crisp mixed greens and this wouldn't even include the literal mountain of guacamole or earthy melange of velvety, meaty mushrooms. I was into it. My husband got the pastor quesadilla and the fresh homemade masa stole the show here. The meat did not resemble the beloved thin pieces of pastor that are so tenderly sliced from the trompo in Mexico; rather they were big hunks of flavorful pork but it was excellent all the same. The service is swift, the servers helpful and polite. This is not authentic Mexican food by any stretch of the imagination but that shouldn't stop you from coming here and cleaning ur loteria lined tray. read more

Man the food here was good. I was visiting brickell and came here a couple times in just as many days, sampling multiple items (because Mexican food is awesome). Great taco options, and the salad was really good (they gave tons of chicken on the top). I also love their salsa/sauce bar. For anyone who is DIY when it comes to your saucing needs, this allows you to try all their flavors (and take some home for your leftovers because they're the bomb). My one aggravation in my multiple experiences - we came for their brunch selection on a Saturday and I ordered the huevos rancheros because it looked awesome. 1) I found it surprising that it didn't come with meat. I wanted to add chicken to it, and it ended up being an extra ~$4, for a total of more than $16 for the order. I felt like I could have just gone to a sit down brunch for that. 2) aside from price, it was REALLY GOOD, but the way they served it really took away from the experience. Whoever thought they should put huevos rancheros on a thin pierce of paper on a metal tray did not think it through. I ended up asking for a to-go carton to eat my meal in. Overall a 3.5/4 for the actual food taste, but the presentation was really frustrating. That being said I would definitely come back for other options (not eggs that i have to cut through and sop up from paper). read more

I haven't been to Coyo in about 2 years because I've relocated. However, I was at the Wynwood Walls today and saw the long line and didn't want to wait. So I decide to go to the Brickell location. I'm so glad I did. I walked right in and ordered. I order the Shrimp Burrito Bowl and it was delicious. Happy hour doesn't start until 4pm (Apparently no alcohol is served until 4pm) so I had to wait for 15 minutes which wasn't bad. They have a full bar at this location and I order a classic margarita. They didn't skimp on the alcohol! The margarita was perfect and so was the shrimp bowl. No complaints here. read more

Living in Homestead for about 20 years has made me a little bit of a taco snob. Now that I live in South Miami, I like to try new Mexican places to get my fix! I've always wanted to try Coyo Taco.... SO HAPPY we did! It did not disappoint. To start I ordered the Horchata, it literally tastes like arroz con leche in a cup! Next up was the ellote de calle, this one hit close to home, growing up we called it "elite loco". Eating it not only made my stomach happy but brought back childhood memories. For tacos we ordered Hongos: I liked it but I felt it needed a tad bit more of flavor so I added the chipotle aioli and made it complete. (Fiancé's fav) Al Pastor: loved the combo of pork and pineapple, really dig that balance of salty/sweet. (My fav)Carne Asada: It had a little bit of a spicy kick to it which I didn't mind at all. I usually have to add some hot sauce to my tacos but it wasn't needed. What REALLY made the tacos were the authentic tortillas, I can't tell you another place that has tortillas like this in Miami. I really think most places use four tortillas that come packaged. Coyo's tortillas are really THAT AMAZING. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was for pricing. I think $7 for only two tacos is kinda pricy but the food was so good I didn't mind. We are definitely going to come back, I want to try the tortas next time! read more
