The ambiance was loud inside during Memorial Day weekend and smelled of weed on the outside, with dirty tables. Wow, this place was packed and loud with a big-time party vibe. It's in walking distance of the Hyatt Brickell where we were staying at. We were a large party, so we were seated towards the back of the restaurant which helped with the sound. But also, because of our location, service was slow, but isn't that typical of Miami restaurants? My favorite item was their Fusion Old Fashioned. This was so good. It had Toki Japanese whisky and Knob Creek rye whiskey. I drank several of them during dinner. For food, the Chicken Madeira Rigatoni was just okay. There wasn't many chicken it but I did enjoy the flavor of the dish. We did enjoy their poutine- fries were hot and crispy and the Tuna Sushi Stack. We sat in the back garden area which is on the side street so you still get to people watch without it being too busy. Saw a dog driving a mini car! Starting with a glass of Merlot and Rosè which was perfect - we ordered the Thai lettuce wraps to start which were delicious and savory. The portion size is enough for an entree. Unfortunately they were out of seafood this night which was disappointing so I opted for the Chipotle Mango Chicken, and wouldn't you know, it tastes like high quality chipotle chicken (this is a good thing because chipotle always seasons their food). We are locals at Moxies in Brickell. Our office is one block away, and come here at least once a week. Most of our group lives in the area. We were essentially kicked out because we "surpassed" the 2 hour window of service. When we arrived, they mentioned we had a 2 hour window but the service was really slow and we did not receive our first drink until 35 minutes into our seating time. Plus, when we were kicked out there were other parties still at their table which had been seated way before we were. As we leave now. I am extremely disappointed in this establishment. They offered to sit us outside in the heat but obviously that was unacceptable as well as we were watching the game and there were no TVs outside. BEWARE IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO WATCH a regular 3 hour football game because you will be kicked out at the two hour mark. They finally offered a $60.00 discount on our bill but we would've obviously preferred to stay at our table and been able to eat dinner. read more
