I'm a very frequent customer to Coyo Taco, particularly the Wynwood location because it is closest to my house but I happened to be in Brickell so I decided to stop by their location this Sunday evening and the girl taking my order barely greeted me and was not focused on me at all, I had to repeat myself to her many times because she was being poked around by a guy behind her. She had an attitude while reading my total to me and passing my card back and forth. Very unpleasant experience, service in Wynwood is way better. All the employees just looked like they were chilling. My food wasn't as fresh as usual either, the food was way spicier and the cilantro was not cut correctly. Taco Tuesday!!! I am writing this review knowing that tonight I am going to eat tacos here, lol. I have been many times here already and also to their location in Wynwood, but this location is only 4 blocks away from my place whoop whoop! Hands down my favorite taco spot in Miami. I've tried several places around the area and there's really nothing that compares to here. I can honestly say I've tried every single taco with meat (I don't gravitate towards the vegetarian options) and I love every single one!! Yes there are vegetarian options!! My favorite is probably their shrimp tacos. They have Taco Tuesday deals where selected tacos are half off. Such a good deal! They also have this frozen slushy type drink with alcohol that is $12 and it's sooooo good! I definitely recommended getting it. The food is fresh and the building is clean inside. I had the steak burrito and tried some Al Pastor Tacos. The food was great with a good amount of flavor as well. I liked that it was fresh tasting so I could tell it was made in-house a lot of things that I was eating. Overall I would go back again and think it is worth it to try it if you like Mexican food. This place just opened and it got recommended to me so I decided to try it out. This is authentic Mexican. Menu is rather simple, you get two tacos per order, they're pretty small so you'll probably get 2 orders which will run you like 12-14 bucks. They have "el pastor" a Mexican spicy pork, chicken, the works. They also have quesadillas. It was really good! I liked their combination of flavors, and how they include pineapple etc. It's really good, and would definitely come back but it didn't completely wow me. There's other places in the area like caja caliente that gives you SO MUCH meat in one taco that two will make you explode. But that's a Cuban taco style. Hands down best street tacos ever!!!! Loved the atmosphere of the art district and it was so authentic! The margaritas were VERY good also!

The burrito was bland and the prices were insane, 2 burritos & guacamole with 2 sodas was $39! The bag of chips that came with the guac was tiny and when we asked for more chips the guy wanted to charge us! For chips! After we just paid 40 bucks for burritos lol. Coyo Taco is always an absolute yes for me! They maintain their quality in all their restaurant around town, which is not common in Miami. My main options are: tacos al pastor, guac and chips, shrimp tacos and quesadilla. Chips are salty and sour and are a most. Quesadilla is huge and delicious. Prices are reasonable. Their rush hour is definitely at night, if you don't want to wait a bit and want a more chill environment, try this place for lunch better. La rubia beer it's a must! read more

The BEST tacos I have had outside of Texas and Mexico. Delicious. I had the carne asada and the falafel and they did not disappoint. The server up front was kind in explaining everything and even made a few suggestions. If you are really hungry, 2 tacos isn't enough (one order). I suggest definitely getting 4 (which means you can try two different varieties/flavors!). My friend had the carne asada burrito and I must admit that also looked fantastic although I did not get to try that. Highly suggest coming here and I cant wait to go back and try more. read more

I have only been to Coyo taco in Wynwood and I have to say the Brickell location is just as good or better! The tacos are always fresh and delicious. I had the Al Pastor tacos which I highly recommend. This location is a lot bigger than the one in Wynwood one. So that means more seats, shorter line and you get your food faster! Just went here for a third time in 3 weeks for lunch. Great tacos and location if you can find parking. My loyalty was with Bodega on the beach until I tried the Pulpo tacos here. Today I went on a casual "first date" here for lunch. Shortly after eating we had to leave due to the number of flies inside this location. It was so bad I called the manager to our table and he as well admitted it is a KNOWN problem that HAS been addressed with the owner. Coyo (Brickell), TAKE CARE OF YOUR DAMN FLY PROBLEM AT YOUR RESTAURANT. Had lunch at the Brickell Coyo Taco on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered the Coyo Guacamole and then shared the Carne Asada Tacos, Carnitas De Pato Tacos, and Grouper Frito Tacos. Quality Hard to argue about the quality of the food that we were served. We started with the Coyo Guacamole, which was very delicious. It had a bit of zing from the jalapeños, but it was not overwhelmed with spiciness. I liked the incorporation of tomatoes that gave it nice additional zest. The tortilla chips were not the best, but they were adequate as a vehicle for the guacamole. Even if you do not splurge for the the guac, definitely still get chips because they have a huge assortment of salsas to try. Of the tacos my favorite was the Carnitas De Pato Tacos. It is a mix of duck confit, red onion, serrano salsa, and cotija cheese sprinkled on top. It was really the moist, yet still crispy style of the meat that put it as the best taco I tried. It was only a little ahead of the Grouper Frito Taco, which was battered grouper with a jalapeno aioli, and avocado. Wit a bit of the chipotle mayo sauce poured on top it took a good fish taco to the next level. The Carne Asada Taco was my least favorite, but it was a perfectly good taco. It used skirt steak with a mix of pico de gallo, chipotle sauce, and queso. The problem for me was that the meat just didn't seem as fresh, especially in comparison to the other tacos. Quantity The Coyo Guacamole came in a large bowl with enough guacamole for the chips as well as extra to load onto your tacos. The Tacos came in groups of two, so you should definitely consider bringing a friend to try more. They are good sized and absolutely stuffed, so two is probably enough, but three left us stuffed. Value Everything is decently priced, maybe a bit high for tacos, but the quality is worth it. Not every taco place presents the assortment of meats that Coyo does, with everything from duck to octopus to cactus. So paying a premium is worth it to keep such a diverse and delicious menu. Ambiance The Brickell Coyo Taco location does not have the same charm of the Wynwood original, but it gets the job done. It is located about a block from Mary Brickell Village and the Brickell metro stop. It has a small outdoor area with two long benches, but most of the restaurant space is inside. You order at the counter right as you enter and then grab a seat at one of the tables to wait for your food. They have a single television, but it definitely was just thrown in as an afterthought. In the back corner they have their setup with drinks as well as a large display of sauces and salsas. The decor is simple with just bright blue and white keeping the style of the original. It does not have a secret bar in the back, but for just food it gets the job done. Also, great tunes were being played the entire time we were there, lots of alternative rock from the 90s and early 2000s all with jam and reggae style. Crowd There was a constant rotating crowd with always one or two people on line. Most people looked like they were Brickell residents and several people even brought their dogs inside to order. Definitely a young hip crowd, much like what you would expect at the Wynwood location. Service Even though the place is set up to order at the counter and sit down to enjoy your meal, they still had people coming around to check in on you. It is these small extra touches that really push it over the edge. Parking Not the most convenient, but it is not too difficult to find street spots in the immediate vicinity. You can also always opt for a lot or garage, and it is super close to the metrorail and metromover stations. Extra Coyo Taco is definitely the class of tacos in Miami and rightly show. All the food they serve is delicious and fresh, and they do all the little things right. Everything is reasonably priced and they have pretty much any kind of taco you would want. Maybe not quite as hip and cool as the Wynwood location, but definitely a good transplant for Brickell. read more

Dry as the cardboard it came in & the sour cream on the side was fake, watered down, and almost inedible. 1/2 the price of La Lupita with none of the swag. Horrible.
