We decided to try this restaurant after seeing it on man vs food. I was visiting in the area from CO. It is a very small restaurant so we had to wait outside until a table cleared for us. From the moment we sat down our server was amazing. My husband had the "burger from hell" and I enjoyed the "chili burger". My daughter had a corn dog and fries. The children's menu was very reasonably priced. I think her meal was only $1.99. The burgers were amazing!!! I did take note of the cash only sign I saw during the show so I made sure to get cash before going there for dinner. If I am ever in the Amarillo area I will definitely be going back for the wonderful food and service!! read more

Tiny burger place. You wait outside in line for someone to leave indicating a table has opened up. My "chair" is 2 cases of beer stacked on top of each other. I just grabbed a cold beer out of an old claw-foot tub. My Chili cheese burger on an onion bun was sloppy and delicious. The burgers were huge and my husband and I shared a basket of fresh cut french fries. They had a bunch of tasty looking appetizers but I can only fit so much in my stomach along with a 1/2lb burger so I opt for another beer instead. Oh and if the power goes out don't worry it will come back on in a couple minutes. I can't say I love Amarillo at all but I will definitely be back to Coyote Bluff Cafe whenever I am passing through. read more

Food came out so hot! I love being served food right when it comes of the grill! The place is small but seemed right. I got the hot as hell burger and it was perfect! Great service. Walked in by myself on my way home from Atlanta to SoCal. Stopped here based on the ratings. Waitress was very friendly though I took up a table for myself on a busy Saturday night. I drove in and when I saw the building my first reaction was "whoa!" The place looks like a dump from outside, but inside is something else. Great selection of beers. I wanna give this place a 4 star, but it is too small in that place. I really hate feeling crammed when I am eating and you cant' help but feel that as soon as you walk in the door. I have been to smaller places and felt less cramped. The food though was really good I had the burger from hell which at first made me nervous because I don't do spicy all that well plus the crammed feeling I was primed to break out into mega sweats. But the burger wasn't hot at all it was really good, but hot no. The staff seemed to master the art of moving around in that place, because our waitress was great. Me and my husband arrived here just fifteen minutes after they opened, PACKED already. The place is teeny TINY but that does not even matter! The waitress promptly greeted us and let us know it would be a fifteen minute wait. She offered us a cold one from the bath tub cooler in the middle of the restaurant and had us wait outside (There is no waiting room inside... but it was a nice day so I'm cool with it). Once we were seated we were quickly helped. My husband got the burger from hell and I got the bleu cheese burger. The burgers don't come with fries, and run anywhere from 6-9$. It's a hefty burger though so this price is worth it. We decided to share the plate of chili cheese fries, not a mistake. Three pounds of fries, cheese, chili and green chili's. They were fan-freaking-tastic! I left stuffed to the brim (and I practically have a hollow leg.) Coyote Bluff Cafe is excellent! We stopped in for dinner while passing through Amarillo. We were especially surprised by the fried pickles! The pickles were more thickly cut than you typically see, and there was a spicy, maybe cheesy(?) sauce inside each pickle chip. They were fantastic! My husband and I both ordered the Burger from Hell. As promised, it was quite spicy and delicious! The burger itself tasted great, and the toppings made it all the more better (mmm grilled onions and jalapeños). I was driving through Amarillo and decided to try this place based on what I had read on Yelp. I'm so glad that I did! Every description is right on! I love these little finds. The burgers were some of the best I had ever had, the staff was friendly and the place had character. The place was busy and so our waitress said to us "if ya all want another beer go ahead and help yourself". So we happily marched over to the old fashion bathtub filled with ice and beer and pulled a cold one. If I ever find myself in Amarillo again I know where I will eat. read more

Hamburger perfectly cooked and delicious. Fries too salty but delicious. Steak so so. I would recommend sitting at table by wall and especially not the one in front of door. I got the sun in my face everytime the door opened, which was often. We didn't realize it was cash only but thankful I had a twenty and that covered the meal for two! Everybody has to try this place! I didn't have the famous "Burger for Hell" but I did have the "Green Chili Cheese Burger" and I have to tell you it's the best burger I have ever had! If I had to caution you about is that, it's small, I mean real small. Coyote Bluff only seats about 25 so if you don't get there early for lunch you might be standing out side waiting for a seat. After driving 16 hours beginning in Chicago we stopped in worn out and thirsty. We found this place on yelp and had to share our experience too. It is a casual fun restaurant with great food and even better staff. We had burgers, fries and onion rings. All were super fresh and tasty. The beer served from a footed tub was really cold and the perfect end to our first day on the road. Amy our waitress was very engaging and friendly but is a heart ass. Just ask her . I have eaten a lot of burgers in my life. This must have been in the to five. The taste was excellent. The ambience of the place is rustic charm. I spent the night in Amarillo during a roadtrip and found this gem of a place while looking for a cheap bite to eat. To this day I can honestly say that I had the best burger I've ever had at Coyote Bluff Cafe. The beef was literally as fresh as can be and the onion bun was completely on point. The cheese fries were 'pretty good' but the burger really stole the show. Yelp helped me find this 'hole in the wall' so this is me returning the favor. My husband and I saw this restaurant featured on a show of Man vs. Food and we were in Amarillo and stopped by to try there food. We both ordered the 'Burger from Hell" and an order of chili cheese fries to share. The food and service was awesome! I loved the burger though a little hot for my taste and there were more fries then we could possibly eat. The cost was about $30 including drinks.
