Can I give this 10 stars? When you arrive, you'll find a gas station, but you'd never expect the little food eatery inside to be so darn good. I travel from Fresno to Sacramento many times throughout the year and I will be stopping here every single time. It's off the 99 freeway, the food is fresh and delicious, and the food is prepared quickly. There's a small space to sit and enjoy your food, while you listen to the liquor store tunes, which are 80's tunes. As authentic and great as you can get up here My wife's from Zacatecas (49plus years) and she (my wife) can COOK. We stopped here and had tacos (carnitas) and menudo. Outstanding! Better than when we ate at the great "street taco" puesto near our place in Zapopan in the 90's. This is real good food. Get some and enjoy! read more

I have recommended this spot to everyone I know at work for about a year, which is how long I have been going to this location. The adobada and asada tacos are amazing! I do want to try out other items eventually because when I eat inside I hear a lot of people talk very highly about the suadero meals and other burritos but I always get the tacos because they are that good to keep coming back to. The location is not the best; it's inside a gas station so it is a whole in the wall establishment but the flavor and value overcompensate for the location. Surprisingly, we liked this place! I say surprisingly because my husband and I moved to Madera from the Bay Area. With that being said, we have not been able to find any tacos of half the quality of Bay Area tacos. We have tried several taco places in town and honestly nothing compares to Bay Area. We usually travel to Fresno for tacos so we were lucky to find this place. My husband had the super burrito de tripas. He says the tripas were very crunchy just how he asked. The flavor was definitely there. The only thing he noticed was that the burrito did not have avocado, and if I'm not mistaken, it should've came with avocado. We shared some tacos de asada. He thought the tortilla was very dry and not his favorite. In my opinion, they were fine to me. The tacos were very flavorable and it came with a free frijole tacos/tostada. I find the flavor similar to street tacos. They are a bit greasy, so something to note. We saw other reviews that show handmade tortillas. I think you have to call ahead for those, or maybe they only sell them on certain days. I had the asada torta. Im a chipotle sauce fan which made this torta taste better in my opinion. My husband is not a chipotle fan so it was not his fav. The meat was well seasoned. We ordered via drive thru and received our food right away. My husband and I have very different taste buds but we know how to appreciate fresh quality food. This was only our first visit and we will be back to try different items. What we like is consistency. We will be back soon and see if the quality and flavor is the same. Most underrated Taqueria. Best Tacos in Madera hands down. The cabeza and asada tacos are straight fire and very great costumer service. I've tried almost all the taco trucks and mexican restaurants in Madera and havent been very impressed by their tacos but I ran into this place a while back and ever since just been coming back. Great food, tasty salsa. I really enjoyed the carne asada torta, I changed the cheese to cotija since I'm not crazy about Monterey Jack cheese. It was light but filling, I was impressed. When ordering the super burrito, you expect there to be everything advertise on the burrito. When I received the burrito I noticed very minimal to no avocado which is a bit disappointing. Husband made it so vital to try this new restaurant from a different city. What he didn't tell me until we got closer was it was inside a gas station. I guess you can say that was my anniversary date dinner. At first I was looking at him like 'do we need gas first then restaurant'? lol The restaurant doesn't look much from the outside, but it has potential from the heart. I have ordered the Tripas, Asada, and Pastor tacos, it was all so well-seasoned with a good amount of meat fillings too. I have also ordered a bowl of menudo. It was full of tripe and delicious. The spice was on point and it had good aroma. Very fresh. Good menudo is hard to come by where I live, so that was a plus for me. The salsas did not disappoint either. Full of flavor and had a very strong spicy kick. My husband seems to be enjoying his chilaquiles; well it was so good, my toddler daughter even took over his plate, and that says alot. Just ordered 6 different plates 1 of which was to be 2 asada 2 tripas. My tripas were dry AF & looked as though they had been left behind by another customer & served to me instead. When I called I could hear the person that had taken my order talk to the cook how was nothing but rude about it all. I was told I couldn't get a refund because that's how she cooks them.
