This place is FANTASTIC. It's outdoors, behind the brick & mortar spot, so if you park on the north side of the building, you might miss it - be sure to walk to the back of the building. The tortillas are homemade, and the meat is made fresh and served on warm tortillas. Then, you get to add whatever toppings you want and they are plentiful! Nopales, multiple fresh salsas, pineapple, grilled peppers and onions, pickled onions... Everything is fresh, clearly made with both skill and love, and the real deal. These are amongst the best if not THE best tacos I've ever had. Service was super awesome, they kept giving us samples of different meats to try - so kind! Tables are all outside. We went after my son had a baseball game nearby and my parents were with us. We're white, and my parents don't really have spice-friendly tastebuds, but my husband and I love spice and bold flavor and we all found options we loved. I ordered for us in Spanish, and everyone who was helping us with the food spoke Spanish on the day we were there, so if no one in your group is bilingual or Spanish speaking, you may want to practice your ordering with a friend or Google translate a little bit first - you can do it, and you will be so glad you did and that you ate at La Casa Del Guacamole.

Each time I visit my hometown I crave some tacos. If you've been to Madera you know there is a taco stand in almost every corner. It can be hard to pick the right one. My sister suggested this place and highly spoke of them being the best tacos. When you drive in you'll almost feel as if you're in the wrong area. Once you go toward the back of the building it's as if you're walking into a family bbq. Everyone greets you with a smile and is extremely welcoming. Everything is cooked outdoors on a grill in front of you. The tortillas are hand made which makes it 10x better. There is a lineup of generous toppings. They also have a nice patio if you decide to eat there. I was not disappointed with my experience and can agree these are the best tacos in town!

Al Pastor tacos topped with pineapple, red onions, and cilantro. With a side of cucumber, lemon, grilled onion, and green guacamole salsa.

These are my favorite tacos in Madera. They make the tortillas by hand which just adds to the 5 stars. I always get al pastor but my friend said the tacos de lengua are fire. The service is great, I always find myself having a conversation with everyone there which makes me feel appreciated as a customer. I just wish they were out there everyday. Make sure to stop by Friday, Saturday, and Sunday after 5 to get your fix!

I came here with my co worker for lunch as we like to try new places around Madera. La Casa Del Guacamole definitely lives up to the name. Just a disclaimer before I write this review I HATE avocado and Guacamole with a passion but doesn't take away from the experience. My co worker and I were greeted my a nice Hispanic woman. Just an FYI this establishment is 100% Spanish speaking so if you don't know basic Spanish you will definitely struggle here. My co worker had to help me as I was struggling with my Spanish as it's not very good. We got complimentary chips, salsa and guacamole. Even though I don't like Guacamole I tried it and yep...I still didn't like it. However my co worker said it was delicious and seasoned well. The salsa was surprisingly good. Anywho, There's like no sushi places in Madera so I was excited to try this place out due to it being a Mexican restaurant and having sushi. So I ordered the Pollo Roll without Avocado and guess what it came with avocado. So I was not happy about that. Anywho the order took FOREVER like almost an hour to get our food. The server said to us that it is just her and her dad running the place which if you seen it...it would have melted your heart! I could tell her dad was like in his 70s he was helping deliver food and making sure the customers had what they needed a part of me wanted to just be like sit down and let me do it but that wasn't my role but it definitely made me appreciate this place a little more as I imagine it took a lot of hard work for them to open up and having extra avocado on my roll was not a big deal as I picked it off and gave it to my co worker. The decor is SO beautiful and vibrant and it reminded me of the the ocean so I had beach fever when I was there the whole time. Once the food finally arrived the servers dad brought it over. My Mexican sushi roll was delicious and tasted fresh. If anything I wish it came with more teriyaki sauce. It was very filling and it smelled good. I actually like this place even though the service was slow and even a few people left because of it. I hope it improves as it has potential. Very tasty and unique addition to Madera and if you want your money worth for Avocado or Guacamole...come here! You won't be disappointed. This place is definitely for peeps who absolutely LOVE avocado because there's so much of it. I would definitely come back but make sure you are able to speak somewhat Spanish or there will be a language barrier. Definitely a must try if you are in area.

Great homemade tacos they prepare outside on Fridays, Saturday and Sunday's. Homemade tortillas and the meat cooked right outside the fire grill, it doesn't get better then this. I still have yet to try the food from inside the restaurant but will try soon.

This place is under new ownership. I noticed the picture of sushi rolls but they do not sell sushi any longer. My favorite meal to order is Caldo de Camarón...it is delicious. It can be too spicy for some so make sure you ask before you order. The caldo has a lot of shrimp and comes with 3 handmade tortillas which can be rolled and dipped in the broth.

The Molcajete was the standout dish of the night. It arrived sizzling hot and loaded with perfectly cooked meats, seafood, fresh vegetables, and a rich, savory sauce that tied everything together. It was hearty, flavorful, and easily one of the best Molcajetes I've had. The mussels were another favorite. Honestly, everything tasted like it came straight out of someone's mother's kitchen--in the best way possible. The food had that homemade, comforting quality that's hard to find these days. The portions were generous, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere had that cozy, family-owned feel that makes you want to come back again.

As soon as we looked over the menu, my mouth was already watering. We ordered the aguachiles verdes, the molcajete supreme, and I added a side of fries. When I say the food came out fast, I mean FAST, especially for food this fresh. The wait staff was attentive, friendly, and checked in just enough without being overbearing. The aguachile was honestly one of the best I've had. The green sauce was incredibly flavorful, perfectly balanced, and everything tasted fresh and vibrant. The molcajete supreme did not disappoint. The sauce was rich and delicious, and the portion of carne and shrimp was generous and very satisfying. You can tell care goes into the food here. And somehow, even the fries were amazing .... crispy, hot, and the perfect side. If you're passing through on your way to Yosemite, this place is absolutely worth the stop. We'll definitely be back.

We come back again and again just for those, and we've even called in takeout orders when a craving hits. We also love the Poke Nachos, topped with generous chunks of sashimi, avocado, and jalapeños. The fries and poke nachos together are more than enough for two people to share for lunch, and for dinner we usually order one of their delicious rice bowls. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with a bar area featuring TVs, a separate dining room with high-top tables where the sushi bar is, and a back dining area with standard-height tables and chairs. There's also a beautiful patio overlooking a water fountain and courtyard, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal outdoors. The wonton chips and the rest of the toppings were great, but the lack of ahi tuna, which was the best part, changed the entire dish for us.

We knew that it would be costly but can still be a surprise when the bill arrives, watch out for the drinks We only ordered what we had seen reviewed and listened to our servers recommendations. There are a few things we plan to go back and try though. Based on his recommendation we tried the scallop temaki and it was delicious but we still really want to try the scallop spoons. Everyone talked about the sushi so we tried the house Iza Sake roll, it was good but honestly didn't blow us away. So many reviews told us to splurge on the Wagu A-5 hot rock lettuce wraps. It was fun to have them cooked in front of us and the meat was buttery, I would say to save your money. Let them cook your fried rice in front of you for the ambiance and you get more for less money. It also has Wagu beef. We also tried the bone marrow and we liked it but I do believe it's an acquired taste. We had two mixed drinks the Hibiscus Shoga, very good, but a bit too sweet. Then the Kohahu Carmel Old Fashioned which was a recommendation and we love old fashions. This was good but way too sweet for us. I do recommend the Kurosawa Nigori. We plan to return to try the spoons and seafood risotto and maybe the lobster temaki. Also recommend going earlier than later. We had an 8pm reservation and the grill was cleaned at 9pm so it was a surprise to have the kitchen closed so early.

The drinks were made immediately while the food took some time to arrive. Although the drinks came quickly, I wish my coconut rim had been applied more evenly. *Poke Nachos: these had a tropical flair with the chopped mango. The dish was covered in a thick layer of honey wasabi spicy mayo and it definitely cleared my sinuses. However, the tuna was finely chopped and sparse throughout the dish. The wonton chips were also on the greasier side and appeared darkened from unclean oil. *Strawberry Blush: a confusing mix that leaned heavier on the gin and lychee. The strawberry and lemon were practically nonexistent. I did enjoy the coconut rim, although it only lightly covered the glass. *Salmon Roll: despite being on the happy hour menu, I was surprised to see it still nearing $11. However, I enjoyed the quality and the thick cut of salmon. It was a well filled and nicely shaped roll. While the staff seemed pleasant, I was underwhelmed by the overall quality of the dishes and drinks. The cocktail was not weak as others mentioned, but the flavors felt different from those listed on the menu. The happy hour prices were also not very competitive compared with other restaurants. I would have preferred fresher seafood and better portions.
