Excellent spot for lunch! I was with a work group in for out of town and we went here for lunch. The parking lot was packed so I was thinking food must be good but I was expecting to wait or for slow service. Wrong! We got seated right away. And they have their lunch system down to a science. Started with great chips and a salsa bowl for each of us we all ordered off the lunch menu. And food was out quick. Must have been 5 minutes or less. I had the enchiladas and they were excellent. Everyone else enjoyed their food and the restaurant. And we were back on the road after about 30 or 40 minutes. Great experience all around. read more

This place used to be our go to restaurant after Chi-Chi's closed up, and I have to say they are a big disappointment. When it comes to the fajitas, I usually get the shrimp fajita, and my husband gets the chicken fajita, and to be honest with you there's barely any shrimp and barely any chicken, very greasy and heavy. We have been here a handful of times, usually when heading into or away from Cleveland. More cars in the parking lot than ever and wait time and service was very reasonable. Waiter very friendly and animated. Salsa (chips) recipe seems different this time but was really good. Wife says fajita bowl was very good. I had the five enchilada plate. Five different kinds of enchiladas. Part of my reason for this choice is no typical rice and beans add-on as with most meals. A nice place we find ourselves returning to often. And no tacked on credit card fee. I say support the restaurants that do not tack on three or four percent. read more

If you're looking for fast (serving) food, but not necessarily good food, this is the place for you. It is not terrible, but I wouldn't eat there again even after a few drinks. The restaurant is clean and the customer service is good: but the food didn't taste fresh. My food came out so fast (in about 5 mins) that it looked like leftovers heated up in a microwave. One of my dishes has a pool of water sitting at the bottom so I'm assuming it was thawed before serving, but I'm unsure. It wasn't very tasty. If I had to choose between here and chipotle, I'd choose the latter without hesitation. I will say, I enjoyed the chips and salsa, but they shouldn't be the highlight imo. Cozumel was amazing! When I say that we had chips and salsa, our drinks, AND our ordered food within eight minutes of being seated, I mean a literal eight minutes, as in 480 seconds. I was BLOWN AWAY by the service, as the entire staff was smiling and served us so thoroughly. We constantly were refilled, and they constantly were asking if we needed anything. The restaurant itself was clean and had a nice, relaxed atmosphere; the music was not too loud, and the lighting was appropriately dim, though not too dim, for a casual dinner. I've been to this place 3 times in the last 8 days. What more can I say ? I have been looking for enchiladas in tomatillo sauce all around Cleveland but I wasn't able to get a tase I had on my tastebuds that developed at a Mexican restaurant In Atlantic City. When I came here the first time, and the second and third time, I always ordered enchiladas. I finally found the perfect place to satiate the taste I was looking for. Coming back to the review. The restaurant is pretty spacious, has a nice bar and ample seating space for quite s lot of people. We never had to wait for more than 5 minutes to get a table. No matter when I came here, it was always crowded which shows the liking of people for this place. The staff is super nice and friendly. You get welcomed with fresh chips and salsa as soon as you grab a seat. For the ones who like hot food, ask for the habanero salsa. They also give you the sauce they add to the enchiladas to try before you make your choice. Boy, do I love their sauces, absolutely. No this less than 5 stars for the food. Do try their chicken soup too. It comes with shredded chicken, chips and rice in it and is extremely filling and tasty. The service is always quick. I was having s bad throat day and I asked the server to get me some water at room temperature and she made sure the water was perfect, neither too hot, nor too cold. She has already become my favorite server at this place. The food came pretty quick too and was over in almost no time. It isn't that everyone was starving, the food was so delicious that we couldn't resist eating fast. 5 stars for the service too. Last but not the least, the price of food and drinks is very reasonable at this place. You can get 2 chicken enchiladas with a side of rice and beans during lunch time for about $8 which is awesome. Stopped in today on a whim. Haven't been here in years! First, I loved the individual salsa cups. The salsa it self was quite good! Chips were fresh and warm. The vegetarian menu left a bit to be desired as the only stand out item was the veggie tacos. They were good but lacking a little flavor. The spinach queso fundido was very good! My friends and coworkers have raved about this place so we organized a group happy hour to try it out. It looks like your typical mexican joint, similar menu to every other mexican place I've been to. Their salsa was okay, not my favorite but I loved that they gave us each our own and lots of hot chips. Due to medical reasons I couldnt drink, I loved that the waiter offered to make me a non-alcoholic drink, I tried a guava one, it was good but at happy hour it cost more than the alcoholic one ha. I probably should have just splurged on a soda lol. I ordered a vegetarian combo dish, it was good, not a ton of flavor, but pretty much the standard. One of the hot sauces on the table was amazing, I added it to everything!! My coworker got fajitas, those looked super good, lots of food. Although there is rarely a time where this restaurant isn't quite busy, they were able to prepare our order relatively quickly. He food was just the right amount to leave me feeling full, but not to the point of bursting. The restaurant was generous with the chips and salsa, which was nice considering the size of our party. My personal recommendation is the enchiladas rojas, in which you receive three enchiladas and a side of rice. The food was cooked just right, and it was still piping hot when served to us. If you're planning to come here, just watch out for the parking lot. With so many people coming and going, it can be hard to find a decent parking space. read more

I've been to Cozumel at least a half dozen times and I think it's always been with my coworkers. While it's not my favorite Mexican spot in Cleveland, I've enjoyed my experiences there and have no problem going for a happy hour or quick lunch. My favorite dish so far has been the Baja tacos, which come with crispy fish, a cabbage slaw, guac, and a sweet spicy red sauce. I've also had their choripollo and fajitas...all average but good! Their chips have always been hot and crispy, and I like that everyone gets their own salsa bowl. The salsa had a good balance of cilantro and spice. If you think you have to head downtown to one of the trendy new Mexican joints for a great meal, think again. Cozumel knocked all expectations out of the park tonight! We arrived around 7 and sat at a high-top in the bar which was noticeably clean with pretty traditional Mexican music playing and decor. We hadn't eaten much all day and knew better than to get lulled into the basket of warm and perfectly salted chips and salsa but we did it anyway...and added a side of guacamole and cheese dip, just because. It was the perfect way to start the evening. Salsa was flavorful and not too kicky and the cheese dip was just the right consistency. Guac was also great. We could have stopped there, but instead I ordered the Fajita Rice Bowl (steak) and a chicken enchilada (ala carte) and my son ordered the Burrito Supreme and a chicken quesadilla (ala carte). Presentations were beautiful, bright and fresh. Why we ordered so much, I still don't know, but we couldn't get enough! Strongly recommend the rice bowl - complete with tender steak, rice, corn, black beans, onions, red and green pepper with cilantro undertones. Loved the sauce on the enchilada as well. Since I was driving, I opted to skip the customary margarita but the table next to us enjoyed 2 pitchers so I'm sure they're spectacular. My son cleaned his plates and we both declared Cozumel worth of a 5-star review and our recommendations for others to try it out. Kudos to our server, Katrina. My first visit to Cozumel was the Friday after Christmas. The lobby was packed, but we were seated after a short 10 minute wait. Our chips and salsa were placed on the table within minutes of sitting down and our drinks came out just as quickly. The staff was really hustling and running around to keep up, so there was no lag in service despite the full house. I had chicken tamales which were a little dry but still flavorful and filling. Our waiter was exceptionally attentive, which is even more impressive considering how busy he was. Nothing about the food really stands out, so I probably wouldn't go out of my way to go there. However, if you're over in that area, it's definitely a great local Mexican food spot to check out. read more

Delicious food love burritos but my favorite is the I believe seafood Queso especially for lunch break

The food wasn't that great it felt like it was all just jumbled together and thrown on a plate. Not much flavor. My friend ordered a quesadilla a specific way because it had a few things she didn't like in it and they still put it in there and two of the servers got upset because she wanted a discount because the first plate of food she got was bland I know because she had me try the fish from the fish tacos and it tasted like nothing so she wanted something else. The servers were just so rude when she was trying to explain she basically had to take out all the stuff she didn't want which took awhile.
