    Taco Salad...Lunch portion

I have been here a couple times now. The food is always good. The service is quick and always nice. Food comes out very quickly. Very decent prices and a good size menu. Pretty quiet place. Tables available for larger parties if needed. There is a bar inside and authentic decorations. Homemade salsa and chips too! I will continue to dine here.

El Jalapeños is always a good place to eat. Last night had shrimp enchiladas which were good. Queso and chips was great, probably my favorite queso around. Margarita was great and service was timely

The food is always great. Above standard for the traditional Americanized Mexican Restaurant. The service is always good with a laid back approach. The decor is somewhere between exactly what you'd expect and mildly tacky. The hot sauces offered on the table are great! Chips and salsa excellent. Every food item I've had hits the spot!

We have gone here a few times since moving to the area. It's been fairly consistent and enjoyable. The Azteca platter is perfect for sharing and it's my favorite thing there. But, everything we have had has been quite good. The decor is nice and comfortable. Service and the music volume tend to be a little more unpredictable. They're usually fairly attentive with occasional bumps in the road and we have asked to have the music turned down one time when we couldn't hear each other in a nearly empty dining room. But, all in all, we're happy to keep this place in the regular rotation.

Everything was okay. Not the best Mexican restaurant I've been to but not the worst. I got a steak quesadilla and it was pretty good. The steak had a really nice flavor to it, well seasoned. I could've done without the lettuce because it seemed wilted but everything else was fine. I wish I would have gotten a plain lime margarita and upgraded the tequila. 3/5

It definitely has a Mexican restaurant ambience!

This is an authentic Mexican restaurant. The service is excellent and the food is very good.. Everything about the place remind you of being in Mexico... including the owners kids doing their homework in a booth! I visit a Mexican friend who lives in Cleveland regularly, and she always insist that we go here. It really is worth a visit.

if you're not eating here you're missing out; the food is incredibly delicious, & consistently good. Is it "authentic" ? I don't actually know, but, i can say this; the food is freshly made, the chips are warm & crispy , the vegetables are charred perfectly & the beans & meats are absolutely delicious... i recommend the Fajita Salad in particular, not like any other "salad" i've had & VERY filling. The ambiance is "authentic" enough (the music alone is excellent! ) and, the gracious staff provides excellent service & makes you feel right at home ... highly recommended

Stupendous and amazing Mexican restaurant with incredible food and delicious margaritas! Came here on a busy night but still sat extremely quickly at the bar. It was a very festive atmosphere and took part in the holiday cheer! The margs were giant and quite delicious - dangerously delicious. The steak nachos were absolutely stunning. Hard to get the construction correctly but the layers of meat, cheese, veggies and sauces were divine. My go to is a shrimp quesadilla and I was SO over the moon. First, the quesadilla was massive and the portions of rice and beans were enough for army. The shrimp and cheese inside were so tender and tasty - though I was stuffed to the gills by the time I left, I was so satisfied and very happy to reheat my leftovers the next day. Awesome place and some of the best Mexican I've had in the Great Lakes!

Some of the best Mexican (Tex mex) in the area!!! The building is very beautiful inside and out. Our service was fast and friendly! The food was absolutely delicious!!! We got amazing portions and great value. Boyfriend and I both ordered the El Jalapeños Special which includes pork tamale, beef taco, beef enchilada, chalupa, and a Chile relleno, and a side of rice and refried beans. It was sooooo good! The pulled pork inside the tamale has a great flavor and texture, and the tamale breading is perfect! the beef taco was nice and crispy, the ground beef is perfectly seasoned and has that nice fine texture. The Chile relleno is FULL of cheese and not too spicy (just how I want it). I was too full to take a bite of the enchilada, and I had two boxes for my leftovers since I just nibbled on a bit of everything! It was lunchtime so I don't know how their margaritas are, but I would love to come back and find out!!! This place exceeded all my expectations! Thank you!

Nice variety, quality ingredients, good value, decor could use and update, but it is a very old school Mexican restaurant.

The food is ok. Pretty bland....very Americanized. I had the taco/enchiladas combo which was underwhelming. Salsa has zero heat.

Situated in the back of a Latin American grocery store, this hole-in-the wall restaurant serves some of the most delicious food I have had on this side of the border. I ordered the Carnitas a la Verde-- the meat was slightly crispy on the outside, exquisitely tender, with all the fat well rendered, impact with flavor. I would drive across the city for this dish alone, and no other carnitas I've eaten have ever come close. The corn tortillas that come with it are also phenomenal; I can't remember the last time I ate ones this authentic. Additionally, the rice and beans, as well as the chips and salsa, were all good. The restaurant was clean and surprisingly spacious. Service was polite and prompt. Las Americas is easily on my short lists of best restaurants in Cleveland, and best Mexican food anywhere. If you want authentic Mexican or Peruvian food, look no further than Las Americas.

All the patrons seemed to be regulars and of Latin American decent, which is a great sign of authenticity! The ceviche was fresh, and I loved my dish. However, the food comes out sporadically (app came after some entr es, and one entree was about 10min after the middle ones). Servers are a bit hard to find/flag down, but they are friendly. The meats were a tad overcooked but the flavors were good. The portions are big. I would return!

We discovered Amigos a couple years ago, when seating was very limited, but they recently expanded and the decor is more inviting and authentic. Two things I can ecstatically recommend: their house guacamole and their margaritas. Their hearty and bold guacamole is made fresh to order right at your table and it's become our favorite guacamole. We love their mango margaritas. We have found chunks of mango in ours, and make certain to always get the rims coated with tajin because they use tamarind to get the spice to stick to the rim--so tasty! The ambiance was relaxing and we got the nice cozy booth at end of the bar ordered the Taco's with a side of rice and beans and a few margaritas. The food was delicious and we had a damn good time, but what really impressed us was the incredible service. Our server Dan was literally amazing, highly attentive and made us feel at home. I don't think I have ever had better service in my life. After that experience we said we had to come back again. So, we did. We came back to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday on a Friday. To our surprise the place was packed and busy. Since they don't do reservations we knew for sure we wouldn't get our cozy booth and the service would be no where near as good as it was last time. I was pleasantly surprised. As we enter the packed restaurant, a man came up to us with such a positive and friendly attitude and told us about the wait time and that he would add us to the list. While we waited we ordered margaritas and talked further with the man. This man turned out to be the Owner of Momocho, Eric. This guy is one of the coolest dudes you'll ever meet. He gave us a few of his delicious recipes he created, told us about his restaurant, and remarked on how great his incredible staff is, especially Dan. After the wait, Eric escorted us to the top floor, and to our surprise he put us at the "Chef's table". We had front row seats to watching the Amazing Chef's cook. Chef Manny was fantastic, watching him work, talking with him, and answering our questions about the different dishes made are experience that much more enjoyable. He took our orders: "Little Tacos" we got the Pollo, Machaca, Side of rice, Barbacoa with a fried egg and a flight of Margaritas. Everything was insanely good. The Margaritas are very tasty definitely recommend. At the end of our meal Dan personally delivered my girlfriend one of their delicious "Chocobomba" desserts with a candle in it, and Sang happy birthday with me. Overall this place is a 10 out of 10. I highly recommend it. I want to sincerely thank Eric, Dan, and Manny for the incredible experience, and for making my girl friend's birthday a memorable and special one. Also wanted to toss in here that it was fantastic seeing one of my favorite servers from the now closed restaurant "Xinji" working on the Momocho team. Shout out to Jack.
