Tulum waters were clear and there were so many different varieties of fish! Took underwater photos and videos and they came out clear as day! Was nervous we might not see any sea turtles, but we saw 6 turtles at Akumal! And a stingray! Alex and Lalo definitely made the adventure better with their knowledge, great sense of humor and excellent service. This was my first time seeing the cenotes, and hey were beautiful and full of culture/history. Even got to do a cliff/cenote dive! Would definitely recommend this package for someone looking for snorkeling/cenotes experience.

We had used hotel credits to basically pay for the trip. As the only thing I actually paid for was the Mexican taxes. Here's a few highlights: ~ Started our day early around 7am, as the tour groups from several hotels gathered the tourists. ~ As the tour began, our guides introduced themselves as Walter and Fernando. Both bilingual and really nice guys. ~ Breakfast consisted of two types of tamales and a traditional balché Mayan drink. ~ On our way to Chichen Itza, Fernando and Walter referenced many historical facts about the Maya people and how they live today. They passed around artifacts as well. ~ We visited their local gift shop that they specifically support. And they do take credit card, even though I only carried cash. ~ Watched a video in a dome theater, about the Mayan culture and how it all began. ~ In the heat, Walter showed us all around the Chichen Itza grounds. Simply amazing! ~ For lunch we all met up at The Lodge at Chichen Itza (beautiful hotel btw). It was a buffet filled with freshly made tacos and other time-honored traditional dishes. A bit salty for me though. ~ After that, we trucked along to the cenote. Now this was probably my favorite highlight of my entire trip. To swim and relax in a natural pool of fresh water was just exhilarating! I loved seeing it, taking pics of it, and just disconnecting from that thing called "work". ~ On our way back, our final stop, we went to the town of Valladolid. Here we checked out the Cathedral of San Gervasio and bought some last minute gifts at the local shops. Tips: ~ They serve you bottled water, but I'd still bring some just in case. October was still hot and humid, yet bearable. ~ Bring a hand towel. Again, just in case, you'll thank me. ~ Sandals for the cenote. ~ Extra battery for your camera, or a charger. Overall: ~ Although the tour company seems to want to cater or sell you something from their local partners, it didn't really bother me. I enjoyed it, and still would recommend going with these guys.

There's a landscaped water feature area that's a haven for turtles and iguanas. I feel like the layout of the shops & restaurants are more spread out and spacious. I liked the shops here better. There's a Ron Jon Surf Shop and a Rogers Boots Shop (reminded my hubby of "No Country for Old Men"). I can't comment on the restaurants because we didn't try any of them. There is a Fat Tuesday, Three Amigos, and Panchos Backyard. I so wanted to stop for dessert and coffee at Banana & Company, but there's just never enough time. Hopefully there will be a next time. Our shore excursion was very well-organized here. We met our guide in front of Ron Jon's. She walked us to the taxi pickup area where we were whisked away to Barriecito. It was such a memorable experience. The taxi fare was part of the excursion, but it's actually a good price just to take a ride around the whole area. Honestly though, you really don't need an excursion here. There's a lot to see even if you decide to walk to Punta Langosta or venture out into San Miguel de Cozumel on your own. It was a fun port of call!

Out of the 3 ports our cruise visited this one for Cozumel, Mexico saved the BEST for last…read more There are SO many shops that passengers who didn't book a shore excursion would have fun shopping and eating here. We booked a tour to a Mayan Village so just got a Mexican mango flavored popsicle super refreshing and hit the spot cuz it was HOT. I saw a cute Stitch Ohana hand painted wooden plaque on our way to the tour vehicle so on the way back to the ship found the booth and had it personalized. We had to be back on the ship if not I would have surely filled up my suitcase with more items here like footwear and handbags. The tour we took also stopped at a Tequila Factory and I saw leather goods across the street and by the ancient church but it didn't seem like we could stop to shop. Glad we got to buy a few hand made jewelry and pottery whistle at the Mayan Village. If we ever go to Cozumel again I'll choose to just leisurely enjoy Puerta Maya then return to the ship when I'd had enough.

It was pouring rain when we arrived, after meeting the driver, we all ran to the car. For my first trip to Mexico, this was a bit of a frightening experience. After dropping us off, our driver seemed busy and I handed him a tip and said thank you. 10 minutes later he is calling my husband repeatedly saying we didn't pay, when my husband told him we had a confirmation and paid on the website in advance. As we were waiting to check in and sitting with our guest services rep, the driver found us in the lobby and I told him we paid for this already and luckily had printed out my confirmation. He took a picture and sent it to his boss. This experience made me worried that they were not going to show up to drop us at the airport since we had booked round trip transportation. Unlike when we were arriving to Cancun, when we received confirmations about our upcoming transfer for departure we didn't receive one. I reached out the day before to make sure they would show and that they knew which lobby to get us from. The day of, the driver told us he was going to be 20 minutes late, 20 minutes turned into 40 minutes and I had asked my husband to reach out because at this point we were sitting in anxiety that we were going to miss our flight but the driver called to ask which lobby ( information we provided the day before). It was the last flight of the day. Our driver was also coughing quite a bit, and I regretted not putting on my mask like I should have because after we got out I felt sick the rest of the weekend. Based on this experience, I would not use this service again.

Booked via Royal Caribbean for the Wagon Wine Tasting Tour. The van we were picked up in was clean…read moreand cool but boy did our tour guide talk the WHOLE ride (45 mins or so). Don't get me wrong, I love learning some history and culture but it was a small van and sometimes I just wanted to look out the window without feeling the pressure to pay attention the whole time. It also got really political at some point and I felt a little awkward because I didn't know the other people on the tour and didn't know how to react, The guide also made some claims that I am not sure are rooted in any sort of facts, like that the cure for cancer is in Mexico...which, maybe I am ignorant but I had never heard that before. Loved the Don Tomas vineyard. It was beautiful and we enjoyed the wine! I wish it was longer, maybe if they included lunch at the restaurant or something that would have been nice. Could have spent the whole day there! Afterwards we went for a tequila tasting which I wasn't aware was a part of the tour. I think we got hustled a little to buy the bottles. We looked them up after we got back home and saw that some of these tour companies take you to these tastings and the tequila isn't legit. It tasted good but boy was it pricey. After that we had some time to walk around the town and shop. Our guide recommended a restaurant to eat at which was delicious, but didn't have a single fish item on the menu. He was talking up fish tacos so much and Ensenada being the home of the fish taco that we were excited to eat fish tacos!!! Why did he send us to a restaurant with no fish tacos? I was so confused. I jokingly confronted him about it and he kind of laughed it off. The shopping area was super touristy, nothing super exciting. A lot of the shops have the same thing. Overall, I'm glad we did the tour because it was a nice way to get out of the main tourisity part of Ensenada for a bit and see more.

Booked via Royal Caribbean, Food and Tequila Walking Tour of Ensenada, duration advertised 2 1/2…read morehours, but we ran over 3 hours, and had a delayed one hour start pushing our return close to gangway up time. I was resting shortly after getting back on ship in my cabin, and felt the ship move so pay attention to the time. Price was only around $50 as the excursion was discounted via the cruise line. As for the tour it was great, and you will get in some steps. Guide Angel, my group 15 persons which was ideal to interact with each other, and to fit in the vendors comfortably. Group meet at a vendor booth setup opposite the $RCL ship, and walked as a group into town. First Stop, the Fish Market to learn about the freshly caught fish, then a stop where we sat down and were served bottles of beverages, plus had a yummy Shrimp Taco, and explored a wide range of Salsas with in house made chips. Second Stop, a Confection shop with an indulgent number of sample sweets to be tasted and if wanted purchased. Huge platters of Fruit / Nut hand rolled sweets were tasted. Third Stop, Tequila tasting, more than a dozen sips were had across a wide range of tequilas. Tequilas tasted were across a wide range of price points and including flavored variations. Was a fun experience, liquor pours were sips so as to not intoxicate the group. Numerous bottles were purchased by the group. My favorite was the flavored Quita Penas. Fourth Stop, La Michocana for Mexican fruit popsicles, known as paletas, a nice stop to cleanse the palate. Fifth Stop, more Beverages, and a choice of 2 Tacos, that were really good, and at this point the Cruise Ship was again in view, but still a few minutes walk away. Overall a good value / experience, and a comfortable walking tour where our guide Angel watched over us, and smoothed over any language issues. Can happily endorse this excursion that is only available from this vendor via Royal Caribbean.

Never seen so much colour under the sea before, felt so privileged especially when an inquisitive turtle swam up to have a nosy at us. On Isla Mujeres, instead of staying in the north of the island (where we docked), John was excited to rent a golf cart and so we toured the less touristic, south part the island. The north also had it's own charm, street vendors, Playa Norte (rated in the top 10 of the world's best beaches) plus it was also home to a phenomenal dulce de leche icecream, so much so I had 2 of them in about half hour

We both thoroughly enjoyed the half day trip and would recommend it to anyone. Limbert was a very knowledgeable guide and told us a lot about the history of Mexico on the drive down. Both were quite close to Playa Del Carmen/ Playacar so the longest drive was around thirty minutes. I got some great photos and at the end of the trip we were sent a Google Drive of the photos that Limbert had taken.

That same afternoon, I received an email, followed by a phone call, from Marcos at Best Buy to let me know that they had to cancel my reservation because they did not have a vehicle available on that day. He assured me that I would receive a full refund within 3 - 5 business days. Tomorrow it will be 2 weeks since that conversation and I have yet to receive any refund. I have spoke to Marcos several times by email, left messages and sent emails to their location several times and have still not received a response. I may have to chalk it up to a complete loss but very disappointed and will be warning everyone that I can. I will update this when and/or if I ever hear back from them.

They brought us on in groups for photo ops with the crew. Then we were seated along the edge and drinks began. (and never ended). This amazing group of entertainers was on their game!!! They pulled people from the audience (including me twice) to use in their comedy routine. Each character was so unique in their role it kept our attention. Funny? Yes for sure! Usually on these type of tourist traps, either the food or the atmosphere lack quality. BOTH WERE GREAT! Lobster was cooked perfectly served with crisp veggies and small potato. After my two lobsters were gone, they came back and we got seconds and thirds! Worth the cost of admission as dinner plus a live show would cost double this in the states.

The next time I come to Cozumel I'm definitely going to do this again. It's well worth the money. You get to flirt with pirates and enjoy the shows they put on. They did couples games and the singles games. It's so much fun to watch. I wish I was able to capture every detail in this show. This show does have strobe lights off and on so I would keep that in mind for those who might be sensitive to that. I was also happy that they crew passed out dramamine in the beginning those who are more sensitive to the sea. I don't actually get sea sick but the strobe lights did make me a tad bit nauseous but it was something that I was able to over come. The dinners offered on this ship was lobster and steak, lobster, steak, and chicken. I had the lobster it came with a bit more then what came with the lobster and stake. I can't talk about the other foods as I did not have the stake. Only the lobster which was fantastic. The only down side I have to say about this whole experience is the smoking on board but thankfully it's an open boat so you don't really smell the smoke that much. The bathroom was even really cleaned and well maintained.
