I am so shocked that a "fast food" restaurant can have the level of quality and freshness as this one. It's right down the street from our home and my husband wanted to try out of curiosity. Well, well... it's the 2nd time we've visited this week. The food is fresh, the chicken is organic and cooked in beef tallow, no seed oils, their salad dressing is made with olive oil, all sides are made made fresh.... not one item we've ordered has let us down. I happened to sit next to the mom of one of the chefs and she was telling me how proud they are to serve quality. I am def a loyal customer... this is our new Sunday spot! Love, love it. Kindly accept this overtly long review and sincere repentance, and please forgive me (for the long absence, not apologizing for the long review). IMO fried food is best eaten dine-in, right out of the fryer because even a 10 min drive home can sometimes alter texture, etc, but anywho... Ordered at the Cozy Coop Roswell (CC's) drive-thru today, 11/05/2024. 4-piece all dark chicken meal with a side of Fried okra Yams and Collard greens as extra sides Chose cornbread instead of a biscuit which is clearly justified by the choice of sides... still with me?! Chicken was lightly coated, crispy, hot, and juicy to the bone. CC's okra was good, crispy and lightly coated yet the breading on church's okra with cornmeal is my hands down favorite. Thumbs up on cornbread, collards and yams There is a 'home sauce' that, although not needed, compliments the food. BTW, you simply will NOT find these homecooked type sides at the C, P, or K natl. chain chicken joints. Generous potions were served, which made two complete meals. It may be a single meal if you overindulge, so although tempting, try not to. Agreed? Okay. IMO quality and quantity was worth the price, 27 bucks (prices are up everywhere lately as we have spent more at DQ and tacobell). I recommend and hope they consistently deliver great food and service for yrs to come. **The food was served in regular styrofoam so remember to thoroughly vent the containers so crispy food does not get a steam bath on your way home. Omg! So good! I ordered the meat and three and had mashed potatoes and gravy, mac & cheese, and okra and the biggest slice of cornbread I've ever seen. Everything was so good. The chicken was crispy and not greasy. Very generous portions. The potatoes and gravy were seasoned well and delicious. Okra was light and crispy. Being new to the Roswell area and based on the reviews I was so excited to try this chicken. Well the excited turned into disappointment as soon as we entered. Three employees were chatting as we walked up. The guy turned looked at us turned back to his conversation and continued talking as he moved toward the register. No acknowledgment or greeting from anyone. My chicken wings were old and dried out like they had been sitting all day or cooked yesterday. I want this business to thrive because it's a great, GREAT concept! A few pointers on execution but we had a delicious, decadent and affordable meal of traditional southern delights for a family. I cannot overstate the importance of high quality, casual dining right now. It's all but lost with even cheap restaurants price-gouging for bad food. Off my soap box and back to Cozy - the chicken was hot, juicy, crisp and not over seasoned. To our delight, none of us felt ill/over indulged afterward (as decadent meals fried in cheap, bad seed oils often do). They fry everything in beef tallow - a natural fat recognizable to the human body. It's a delicious result. The biscuits were divine - fluffy inside, slightly crunchy outside with a salty/buttery flavor. The cornbread is sweet and nice, but could use more moisture. The collard greens were perfect - slightly spicy, tender, some bacon or bits of something in there. The okra was very tasty but quite overcooked - nothing wrong with the flavor, again - just a pointer on execution. The yams could be dessert. Wonderfully sweet (which was a lovely contrast to a salty/fatty meal). Could use more potato chunks and less sweet mush, but not a big deal. We will be back - even writing this review has me craving the Cozy, but I need to run a few miles first. read more

The wings and greens are consistently delicious and cooked to perfection. The special sauce is amazing.

I have only good things to say about the restaurant and the manager. We have ordered multiple times and the food is always delicious and the staff are very accomodating and easy to work with. The last time I ordered for the office, our lunch was cancelled last minute, and our window of time for our staff to be able to sit down and eat is very limited. I called to see if they would be able to do a catering order on short notice and they assured me they would make it happen. Within 30 minutes, they had prepared Fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, a cobb salad and cornbread and biscuits for 22 people. It was all delicious and cost no more than if I had ordered fast food sandwiches or burgers. I highly recommend giving them a try!! read more

I've been here about 5 times now. Red beans and rice are solid. Chicken is delicious and crispy. Collards are perfect. The cornbread is just ok, but the biscuit is FIRE. The only thing I didn't care for was the mashed potatoes and gravy. Partially because I actually ordered macaroni and cheese, and partially because it had no flavor. I'm not mad about it; a mistake was bound to happen eventually. Service is on point, and prices are VERY reasonable. We keep going back here for work lunch for the homemade taste, speed, and the prices. I haven't been inside yet, so I can't say anything about the ambiance. I tried this place a second time, and given the owner's claim that everybody loves his biscuits, I tried one again. Unfortunately, I stand by my prior review on the biscuit. This location in Roswell just opened a few days ago. This is the former Hardee's and is located next to CVS.The parking is free and ample. I went through the drive through as the inside had a line almost out of the door. I was greeted promptly upon pulling up. I ordered the 4 pc chicken meal which comes with a regular side and a drink. Normally, you get 2 dark and 2 white pieces. But I was asked which pieces did I prefer? I like that as most places try to up charge you for all white. I ordered yams and an extra side of greens. You have the option of cornbread or a biscuit. I opted for the cornbread. I also ordered a brownie which ice cream can be added. I didn't get ice cream. As I was waiting.. at least 3 different employees came to the window to apologize for the wait. But my wait was literally less than 10 minutes. Nonetheless, the updates on my order were appreciated lol. I live relatively close so my food was still hot when I arrived home. My favorite color is purple so I loved the purple plastic bag the food comes in. I know, I know corny right ‍ The yams were surprisedly pretty tasty. They didn't taste like canned yams but I wouldn't exactly say it like someone was back there slicing yams either. The sweetness was exactly right.. not too sweet just right! The greens were pretty good for fast food as well. I'm not a big fan of cornbread but I often get it if it's an option. The cornbread wasn't anything to write home about. It was more dry than moist but not nasty either. Maybe I will try the biscuit next time. The chicken was good as well. The crispness was not like Popeyes nor Publix but the seasoning was on point! Not really juicy but definitely not dry either. I give the chicken a B-. The brownie was pretty big but underwhelming. It was just okay. Something I could have made in my kitchen and I am NOT a Baker Maybe I should have added ice cream on top! The sweet tea was good as well. Sweetness was just right! Ribs were a 7/10 mostly because of preference . The sauce was more vinegar based and I like a more sweet but it was tender and tasty. Fried Chicken was the BOMB 9/10 on taste and tender but the pieces were small. Best collard greens I ever had! 10/10 Yams 4/10 No flavor. I was initially intrigued by the fact that its family owned because normally the service tends to be better but I was wrong. Went through the drive through super excited and the person was dry short and unfriendly. That was a huge turn off. read more

This was our first time at the Cozy Coop! Love the purple...the dining room is clean & inviting. Food was yummy but bummed no one mentioned that we should try the cozy sauce with our tenders (Just now seeing it's was an option)!! The tenders were good, daughter said wings were good & husband had a 2 pc chicken meal, that he enjoyed. The mac & cheese is just too cheesy...even my 15 & 12 year olds agree. So if you don't love REALLY cheesy mac...choose another side. We all opted for the cornbread & it was yummy. Everyone should give it a try! read more

What an awesome new chicken spot in Roswell! I took my kids there and they told me it was a "5 star restaurant", so safe to say they loved it. I'll give a special shout out to the buffalo chicken wings, the egg scramble, and their Mac n' cheese bites. Also, if they sold the cozy sauce, I'd buy a big ol bottle of it, because it is so dang delicious. One last thing... what an awesome, friendly staff. We've been to cozy coop twice in the past two weeks, and both times have been one of the best meals we've ever had. This place may be marketed as "fast food" but don't let that fool you, it's easily the best BBQ/Southern food in the area, and we've tried all the spots. The chicken thighs are juicy, tender, and well marinated and both of the sides I've tried so far have been amazing. I have celiac disease so my options are limited but the staff are very attentive and understanding. To my understanding, the thighs, ribs, red beans and rice, cole slaw, and greens are gluten free, just make sure to ask for a glove change and they are more than happy to accommodate. Our second visit, I forgot to mentioned I needed the thighs grilled, not fried, and the man who took care of us on our first visit, who I now believe is the owner, recognized us from last time and made sure I was able to safely enjoy my meal. My family has also raved about the fried chicken and mac and cheese. We plan to try to breakfast soon too, but it all looks great. The kids gave it a huge yes! We stopped here on our way out of town and so happy we did. I must note - do not get the corn. That was literally the only disappointment. I still have them five stars for the great drive through service and all the other food. My five year old nephew said it was the "the beat chicken ever", and he is definitely a "chicken strip connoisseur". My son had some type of huge buffalo tender po'boy and he was soooo happy. Newly opened little spot in Roswell. We were looking forward to them opening this location since the other location has great reviews. I had the combo ribs/chicken to sample the taste. Ribs were ok, not very meaty but the chicken was favorable. Sides were decent. Owner/manager was onsite and was checking to make sure everything was ok. Would I go back? Maybe for the chicken, not the ribs. I base the qualify of my meal on whether I leave satisfied or not.
