I got Fried Chicken, Mashed potatoes, and Cornbread (they gave me 2 drums instead of one) that was nice. The cornbread was good it reminded me of my grandmother's cornbread. It didn't make it out the car ride home. The chicken was also cool, The gravy has pork in it, I didn't realize that until I got home so I didn't eat the gravy but the Mashed potatoes are good. The young African American lady that helped me had a great attitude she said today was her first day at work. Her co worker also helped me with suggestions on what to purchase. I appreciated that. They have a drive thru, it's a casual dining spot. I did see a lot of older people inside eating . Overall great spot. I would go back. Didn't grab the inspection score on this trip. I tried it out because of a direct mail complimentary coupon. Great spot!

A nice, clean, stylish spot with that modern driftwood vibe--cozy enough for the family, and the service is on point. Orders hit the table lightning fast, and everything is made from scratch, which you can taste. Smooth jazz in the background sets the mood. The food itself is just okay. I'll come here before I end up pulling into Bojangles. Most of the points are for the establishment and service

The food was good. The service was good. The restaurant was clean. The restroom was clean. The decor is basic. The fries and okra were amazing.

Tried Cozy Coop and was genuinely impressed. Everything is made from scratch, and you can taste the difference. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful, the ribs were tender, and the sides felt like true Southern comfort. I also loved that dine-in meals are served on real glass plates, which makes it feel more elevated than your typical fast casual spot. And their recommendations from the servers were spot on Solid option for comfort food in the Roswell area.

If your feeling fried chicken, Cozy Coop is a solid option. It's a bit difficult to find and get in and out of, but it's worth it. The parking is a bit tight up front. The place has a drive-thru so it's awkward maneuvering around. The fried chicken here is pretty good. You'll want to make sure to grab some of their biscuits; they're fluffy, buttery, and perfect for soaking up any leftover sauce. I'd recommend skipping the red beans and rice. They were a bit underwhelming and lacked the flavor punch I was hoping for. The ambiance strikes a nice balance between cozy and casual, with plenty of comfortable seating. You can kick back with your food and not feel rushed. Service is fast-casual. You place your order at the counter, but they bring the food out to you, so you can sit back and relax while waiting for your meal. Overall, Cozy Coop is a solid choice for a laid-back meal. Just make sure to grab that fried chicken and biscuits... maybe some fried okra, too.

Cozy Coop is delicious! Looks like fast food, but with a nice upscale dining room. This is so much more than fast food. You do order @ the counter. Great selection of meals, sides & even grilled selections. We had a chix po-boy, boneless bbq thighs & 4 pc chix tender meal. The staff are so friendly which makes all the difference! Order, get your drink & relax in the dining area. The booths are comfortable & this is the cleanest place I have been in awhile. They bring your food to the table too on purple trays! The collards were so good! We enjoyed everything! Management is there & it shows they care! Oh & great cornbread too. They do have a drive-thru too & they offer breakfast now. Our first time & it won't be the last. Go try Cozy Coop out & support them now!

Just opened so we had to try! Been to the Kennesaw location and it was very good. This one is closer to me though! Me and my friend shared a family dinner - lots of leftovers! Chicken tenders with various sauces to try (I liked the bbq, friend liked the cozy sauce - pass on the honey mustard!), Mac n cheese (Omg - so yummy) and mashed potatoes (gravy on side - kielbasa gravy, a bit too spiced for me but friend liked it). Oh and it came with 4 biscuits or cornbread - they let us do 2 of each so we can try both! We both LOVED the cornbread! Warning, it is a sweeter cornbread, so friend #2 was not a fan. We heard they are doing breakfast too - can't wait to try that! Mike - owner - so nice! Comfy seats in the casual dining room and a drive thru! We will be back!

Wow! I have been by this location so many times I can't even count but never stopped in until recently. I had heard online that cozy coop doesn't use seed oils and instead cooks their food in beef tallow so I thought I would give them a try. I can't believe how delicious my meal was!! I had three tenders, collard greens, cornbread and tea and it was absolutely excellent. I haven't tried anything else on the menu but I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a good meal and is trying to avoid seed oils. I will definitely be back!

Always hot and affordable. Don't be fooled by the small business. The food is comparable to a good family dinner that your grandma made.

The space itself is new and very nice, clean, with plenty of seating and a great outdoor area. Everyone working there was also very friendly and pleasant. I ordered a sandwich called the Flipsicustioner, which had brisket, cheddar jalapeño sausage, BBQ sauce, and slaw. The brisket was top-notch--tender, juicy, and with a nice bark. The fat was rendered perfectly and practically melted in your mouth. The sausage was excellent too; you could really taste the jalapeño and cheddar. They were generous with the meat portions as well, so I left very full. My only critique was the pickles. They lacked crunch and flavor, it almost tasted like a cucumber dipped in vinegar and placed on the plate. Other than that, everything was wonderful and I will definitely return. They also had a lot of good options for kids and some unique sides.

Ordered some pulled pork to take home to dads. Also some banana pudding! Ambiance is very simple, but comfortable. Will have to bring my friend, LA here to sample the beers - she would get a kick out of the bourbon one! Will be back, will just make sure to say no sour cream please!

Big Easy BBQ - Do Not Waste Your Money or Time Eating Here A…read morefew days ago, I watched a well-known BBQ show that offered a simple rule: if there's no smoke coming from a BBQ restaurant, keep driving. Today, I ignored that advice and regretted it. A friend and I decided to try Big Easy BBQ for lunch instead of visiting one of our usual favorites. After reading positive reviews, we drove more than 30 minutes to see what the hype was about. The first warning sign was the nearly empty dining room at lunchtime. The second was the complete lack of that unmistakable BBQ aroma. Despite both red flags, we stayed. My friend ordered the St. Louis ribs with sides, and I ordered the half chicken with two sides. When I noticed he had barely touched his ribs, he handed me a piece to try. The meat was tough, dry, and tasted as though it had been cooked well in advance and reheated. Unfortunately, my chicken was no better. It also seemed old and reheated rather than freshly prepared. For sides, I chose dirty rice and Cajun BBQ beans. Neither tasted particularly fresh. The dirty rice was acceptable at first but quickly lost its appeal, while the beans were merely average. Having lived in New Orleans for five years, I know what good Cajun and BBQ-inspired food should taste like. This wasn't it. The highlights of the meal were my iced tea and my friend's French fries. Service was equally disappointing. The server checked on us only in passing and showed little interest in our experience. When we requested takeout boxes for the food we barely ate, there was no inquiry about why our meals were largely untouched. We both took our leftovers home, though neither of us was enthusiastic about them. The lesson here is simple: online reviews should never outweigh what your eyes, nose, and instincts are telling you. A busy dining room, the smell of smoke, and trusted recommendations are often better indicators than a collection of glowing ratings. As a final note, my friend and I normally pay separately, but I felt responsible for suggesting this restaurant and paid for both meals. If paying for two disappointing lunches taught me anything, it's this: save your time and money, and eat somewhere else.

What makes great BBQ? Flavorful, smoky meat; tenderness; juiciness. It's rare to find places that…read morehave two of those qualities. Carne 250 has all three. In spades. My wife's family is from Dallas, TX, and my brother lives in Austin. So, I am no stranger to Texas BBQ. The center of Texas BBQ is brisket, where you either go big or go home. When I got to Sean's large, shiny and modern trailer, and ordered, he asked me whether I'd like it from the flat or point. I chose the point, for its succulence. He pulled out a whole brisket, sliced it in two between the sections, and cut a thick slice out of the point side. It had a beautiful smoke ring, and was the most tender and flavorful and juicy brisket either my wife or I had ever had. The Salt Lick, near Austin, TX was previously the undisputed champion, but no longer. We also had the pastrami, which is not something you normally see offered at BBQ places, though it is a natural fit. For those who haven't had it, Pastrami is corned beef that has been peppered on the outside and then smoked. It is a flavor bomb. Again, I got a choice of the flat or point, and it was so smoky, tender and juicy that we were giggling as we ate it. Top notch. We also tried a half rack of spare ribs. These too were meaty, smoky, juicy and so tender that the bones fell from the meat, and you had to make an effort to find the cartilage because it too was as tender as the meat. These had zero sauce on them, though you could squirt some on if you wanted to; but they didn't need it at all. We also got a horseshoe-shaped link of the home-made sausage. Made with jalapeno and cheddar, it was a bit too aggressively flavored for us. Certainly not bad, but I prefer a mellower, long-smoked sausage to this. Choices I did not try this week, but looked good, included pulled pork, thick-cut pork steaks, ancho slaw, and mac & queso. You can pre-order on the web site, or get there early on Saturdays, to get the full selection. The choices change each week, though I suspect that some things are staples. Check out their Facebook page for the weekly choices. I know I'll be back.

I was here because my brother wanted to celebrate Father's Day and chose this as his place of choice. Nothing says Happy Father's Day like southern BBQ! Lol! My mom and I had questions, the wonderful young lady was nice and patient with us. You order at the line/register and they call your name to pickup your order. I ordered the Judge's Sampler (Leg + Thigh, Smoked Turkey Breast, Brisket, Basket of Fried Okra, Macaroni and Cheese, with Texas Toast, and an order of the 3 sides platter for my little one and I to split since I wanted to try other sides. I ordered the green beans, hush puppies, and additional macaroni and cheese. I also ordered a banana pudding to go. My food was great! From start to finish! My brisket was soooooooo tender! What did the man say, tendernism, and that's what the brisket gave! So did the chicken and turkey! The leg and thigh was seasoned perfectly, and the smoked turkey breast slice wasn't dry at all! It was packed full of flavor and the right balance of tenderness and flavor. It all paired very well with the Carolina Gold BBQ sauce. I'm a fan of mustard based/yellow sauce so I could be bias. The mac and cheese was good, not OMG, I'm going to smack my mama good, but good enough to want more. The green beans were good, the fried okra was too; both could use a tad more seasoning or maybe some more love since I felt like they were missing something super small. The horseradish sauce that comes with the okra did take the okra to another level in relation to taste, so truly no complaints. I was disappointed in the hush puppies since I like sweeter hush puppies, and I asked the young lady at the register were they sweet and she said, "Yes, kind of." Nothing sweet about them; the taste wasn't bad and they were good, yet not the taste I wanted or expected. Nothing against them. I ate the banana pudding when we got home and it was good, yet almost too sweet! I messed around and looked at the caloric count and let me tell you, DON'T if you're counting calories and working on your weight lol! Not bad. 7/10. Everyone ate their food and my mom loved her ribs so much, she bought two individual ribs to go. Minus the high chairs being filthy, the place was clean, real southern and BBQ like decor and layout. Everything I expected for a BBQ place anywhere in the south lol Oh lastly, the price was unbelievably affordable! I spent a total of $35 for all this food WITH taxes! I will be going back! 8.5/10
