109 degrees is now once again cool. Cynthia who took our calls was very clam & compassionate. Jennifer kept us informed. But, it was Brian that was our hero. How anyone could be up on a roof, under the sun emitting 109 degrees is beyond us. Brian got our unit up and running after installing a new motor. Today Brian was back to install a surge protector and quick start. We have lived in a 2 story home in browns valley for 28 years. Summers are miserable. So hot upstairs. We had Right Now Air install a whole house fan about five years ago. That has helped a great deal. If it's 82° or less outside, we can open our bedroom window point the window shades towards our bed and it feels like an actual air conditioner. It makes sleeping much more comfortable. But it is still hot upstairs. So I called the company and asked them to check our installation thinking we may need more or new attic insulation. Aaron came out and checked our attic and said actually our insulation is still very good. He recommended a attic fan. Much less expensive than with the insulation was going to cost us. I was very grateful. He was honest and didn't try to sell his new insulation. They came and installed the attic fan this morning. It's not a very hot day, but I just came upstairs and it's much more comfortable. I have also use this company for my air conditioning maintenance. They never try to upsell and seem to be very honest. I'm very happy with their work and their prices . read more

Stay Away!! Had them come in to repair duct in one room. After he looked at the ducting we were told that all the ducting needed to be replaced. Said there were holes in it. Quoted $8900. Told him we would get other bids. He said it would be $700 to just fix the one. I requested a breakdown. He showed me his calculations written in his book. He included $350 an hour for labor!! Plus some other charges and the cost for a whole bag of ducting even though he wasn't using that much. I questioned this since supposedly all of it needed to be replaced. He then said he could use the whole bag (25') for the same price. I asked for a written estimate with a full breakdown of all costs for both the 700 and the 8900 and we'd get back to him. We got a breakdown on the 700 but without explanation of each item and then a lump 8900 for all of it no break down. He had my husband sign a home improvement contract that was not appropriate for just the $69 service fee for his visit. I called Right Now Air to complain about how this was handled. I was told they would get me a full breakdown on the estimates and they would make this right for me. They never sent the new estimates or contact us again. Today we had someone else come over. He repaired the duct in the one room for $100 and told us there is nothing wrong with the rest of our ducting. read more

Update (Mid to late 2024): the guys who came out to install some solar panels a few months back upheld the standards worthy of a 5 star review. And today Jalen ended up resolving an issue they had noticed while monitoring the system on their end. Our loyalty to Right Now Air continues to pay off! Update (May 2024): We ended up having them install a new HVAC for the house and a ductless mini split system upstairs. The men (Jesse, Drew, Ricky, Taylor, José and Oscar) got the job done in a single day and everything works perfectly looks great. Greatly appreciated. AC went out late last night. The following morning, I contacted Rhonda from Right Now Air & Solar and she was able to get a technician out to me within a few hours. KEVIN was on time, polite, and very knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose and have my unit back up running within an hour. Turned out the capacitor on my unit was shot. I will say, it was not a cheap service. I was quoted a little over $400ish + $69 service fee. HOWEVER, Kevin was able to get me a pretty big discount by signing up with their HVAC/water heater maintenance plans. (which I was actually already shopping around for). On May 24, 2025, Right Now Air completed a "tune up with cleanings." It was discovered the first time using my air conditioner, there was warm air being drawn into my home, but no cooling. On August 8, 2025, Right Now Air returned and informed that I had no refrigerant/freon in my system, and that I needed a new system. Ramon Segura wrote up a Proposal and Agreement for a new system with financing through Travis Credit Union. On August 14, 2025, I wrote text message to Adam, Sales Manager of Right Now Air, about the confirmation from a technician from another company that I had no freon/refrigerant in my house, upon moving into my home 10 years ago, I had actually had slightly above the full amount. All the years of people checking my HVAC system, no one had found issues with my system other than it needing cleaning, companies wanting to sell me a new system because they were afraid of cleaning my system due to age. All this time there NEVER had been any mechanical issues, or issues with cooling. I have asked Right Now Air to refill the refrigerant. Right Now Air is questing the work of the other companies and wants to send someone out to try to identify where the lead is coming. I declined not wanting to be charged for a visit that would probably not prove anything other than I am missing however many POUNDS of refrigerant. Complaints filed where appropriate. read more

We received quotes to replace our 1989 AC and 2006 heater from two other companies prior... so we were well versed in what we needed (16 seer AC and 2 stage 96 efficiency heater.) Pricing was all over the board. We decided to get at least one more quote, so we went on Home Advisor. I'm so glad we did! We literally got a call within minutes. The phone interviewer was professional, honest and you could tell it was a family business that cared. That was the first plus. Brandon, their sales guy, came to our home that night and did an inspection, discussed options and gave us a very fair quote. He was very competitively priced and didn't try to upsell us. In fact, he made sure we got everything we wanted at the price we wanted. They have great financing terms as well! 0% interest for 72 months...nobody else had an offer like that. The next day they scheduled us...Ken came out to do a prework site check to make sure they had everything they needed. The next morning their crew arrived on time, they covered our wood floors with drop cloths and went to work. They have 5 guys who each seemed to have a role...they barely spoke to each other and everything worked seamlessly. They found gaps in our vents that needed to be sealed and helped me program our new digital thermostat that I can control from my phone. Miguel was their lead...their entire team was professional and hard working. We finally chatted with ask the guys at the end of the day (once they finished) and they were all super nice! We've been doing the $12 membership for a while now and it's nice that it includes the summer and winter tune-ups since we all know that's when HVACs decide to break the most! Nothing like having your A/C go out the hottest triple-digit day of the summer haha. We've had many techs come through but the latest one who showed exemplary customer service and professionalism was Stuart. He's not the typical tech who will try to sell you on equipment that you don't need. He explains everything thoroughly and was very friendly and efficient with his visit. My AC unit was not working properly, it wasn't blowing cold air and the fan was not turning in the outside unit. I rushed to Youtube to see what I could do, I replaced the capacitor for $30 for peace of mind and it still didn't work. Once I did everything I thought I could do I called Right Now Air and Solar. They sent out a technician (name left out on purpose), this technician did electrical testing for all of 10 minutes and diagnosed my problem as a shorted out compressor. Also, my compressor is so old that it would cost $4,000 to replace and probably won't solve the problem so I should get a new unit ($7,000 minimum). Aw shucks. Well, that didn't sit right and for the rest the night, as I figured out which child I was going to need to sell in order to pay for cold air in my house, I went to Youtube again just to see if there were any other solutions. Low and behold, the "contactor" can become corroded over time or if a bug gets squished in the mechanism causing no electricity to get to the unit. And you simply either replace the contactor ($17.00 on Amazon) or pull out the metal tab and inspect it for dried guts and scrape off the guts with sand paper for $0.00. I chose the latter. And what do you know, the AC unit performs just as before. Now, my AC unit is old, older than recommended and I am sure it is telling me that I will need to replace it soon. But that is not now. And Right Now Air tried to tell me otherwise and that really bothers me since the solution was free. And it was either missed by the technician (best case scenario or deliberately "missed" to sell me a new unit). On top of that when I called to cancel the scheduled appointment to sell me a new AC unit I decided to speak with the technicians manager. This manager took the opportunity to defend the technician (which honestly I hope my manager would do the same) telling me about old units and house fires and reported sparks from my unit and liability. All things that the technician never told me ... because they were selling me a new unit. Gee thanks. I would not recommend this company. I will not be returning for their advice. They did not seek to reconcile anything with me other than tell me that they will speak with the technician further I will see them soon because my unit will need to be replaced sooner than later. Unfortunately for them they will not be selling me a new unit and I will be telling all my people to never use them. This was a $70.00 lesson for me- better than $7,000 I guess read more
