Our technician today was Chris. He was extremely thorough, meticulous and educated on their products. He went the extra mile to clean our vents (was not done on prior visits) and cleaned the attic entry that had numerous fingerprints. He gave us options on products that again, was not offered during prior services. I appreciate those that do more than just treat you like a Service call, good service can be hard to come by. Cozy was quick to respond and attend to my dead ac right at the start of a Sacramento heat wave. Issue was diagnosed as a need to replace the Capacitor + Contactor on the AC. (unit was a 3T unit, installed back in 2003) I believe in sharing prices on Yelp so consumers can be empowered so quote for replacement of the 2 parts(capacitor and contactor) was about $970 USD. (there was a $50 diagnostic fee that was waved if you went with the repair) Work itself took about 2 hrs or so, but the technician took the time required to explain to me the process and how the parts work together. I did some research and found the parts itself cost about $70 bucks at the highest end. The $900 can be split into labor at $450/hr. Overall in terms of service I believe Cozy is top notch, they were quick to reply, provided updates as the tech arrived, fixed my problem, and explained to me what needed fixing. In terms of price though, I felt like it was a bit pricey, but I was in a tough situation where I needed the repair to be done ASAP. If I could have done it again, I would have shopped around for price comparisons. Same scope of work was shared to two other companies after the repair was done for my personal learnings, one company quoted $600, another quotes $350. read more

First of all I can't say enough good about this company and about Kolby in particular. Not only were they very responsive to my initial inquiry, but the install manager came out to fix what was initially a very small problem with a wire that turned into something much larger and not only did he explain the issue in depth but helped to explain my courses of action to move forward with fixing it for good. They apparently run a very professional organization and in addition to their knowledge about the products, they understand what customer service means. If I had the chance to do this all over I would certainly not have used the previous HVAC company to do any work on the system because the previous company not do a root cause analysis of the problem whereas Cozy Home Service did. Just had a new battery storage system installed in my home. Part of the package included Cozy Home Services installing what's called a "soft start" on my AC compressor. They were able to send someone out the same day they were contacted. During the install, the technician (Jeff) and I talked about my existing system, the fact that it was a bit older (12 years) and that my male dogs had a habit of using the unit for target practice, which was slowly rotting through the outside to the coils. He also pointed out some rusted parts on the inside of the unit. Jeff casually suggested some replacement options, one of which included a dual-fuel heat pump inverter. This would allow me to continue using my existing gas-powered furnace infrastructure in my attic and just replace my outside compressor unit with a new heat pump. I had him send me a quote, which he did that evening. The configuration Jeff showed me was intriguing and was priced at half the cost of swapping out my entire system. The price he quoted me allowed a manufacturer's rebate to be combined with a military discount (as I'm a vet). I was able to save a considerable amount of money. After researching the unit quoted, I decided to call Jeff back the next day and move forward. This was on a Friday. He had the Cozy crew out on Monday to install! The crew was quick, efficient, and really too their time to ensure all aspects of my system were running perfectly. Secondly, he gave me the price $99 for diagnostic and wiring and fuse $282 without explaining why he cost. I was not impressed. I had to ask him to tell me why it cost. He did explain.
