With the majestic Smoky Mountains as a backdrop even a ramshackle lean-to with a poly tarp for a…read moreroof would be sufficient. But for many - as with my family - a getaway should feature a bit more. And more is exactly what you get from a stay at Lee's Cabin. My wife, toddler daughter, and I have been blessed to be guests at the cabin this week. Our initial interaction with the owner was a very comfortable one and the hospitality was consistent and appreciated. Ginger is beyond a cabin owner. She is a hostess with the absolute 'mostess' and is a huge practitioner of customer service and care. Upon arrival we were greeted with a fall display just off the porch complete with straw bales, a scarecrow, and some pumpkins. What a way to say "hello!" Once in the cabin the greeting continued with a beautiful autumn hearth display and autumn smells. This theme continued with the dining table centerpiece, and a few other knick-knacks. Now this being our 9th or 10th cabin rental in the mountains we are beyond being impressed simply by black bear statues, oversized furniture, antler lamps, and folksy signage. We want a bit more creature comfort and substance. We found that with a large, flat screen TV in the living area, a pool table, a flat screen in the master bedroom (in viewing range of both the fireplace and the jet tub), washer/dryer facilities, a well stocked kitchen (minus the food, of course, but with things like a blender, knife block, and fiestaware-like dishes), ceiling fans to circulate the air, and - most importantly for our device happy family - fast and reliable WiFi (13.35 Mbps download and 2.41 Mbps upload). I would like to say our first few hours were spent admiring the view and the seclusion of the cabin itself. Alas, it was not. Instead we took turns (one-at-the-time for maximum enjoyment) soaking in the jet tub and watching television. For a family-on-the-go, it was a rather great way to start our time. Afterwards we took in the sweeping views on the back porch while rocking away in 1 of 3 wooden, rocking chairs. With a hot cup of coffee, no forced conversation, and the crisp air...well, you can't book time like that! Other standouts of Lee's Cabin for us were the comfortable beds (one downstairs and one upstairs) and cozy sheet sets, EXCELLENT water pressure in both showers (one upstairs and one downstairs), a grill/smoker on the back deck, a breakfast bar/countertop to enjoy afternoon hors d'oeuvres on, maps and menus of the area, and a prime parking spot just at the front porch entrance! We certainly have enjoyed our time here (and even had clean laundry to return home with!) and look forward to a future opportunity at Lee's Cabin. NOTE: If you are like me and tend to forget things like shaving cream, soap, and even laundry detergent, no worries. Ginger has thought of everything leaving each guest (or so it seems) with coffee pods and condiments, soap, shampoo, and bath gel in the bathrooms, plenty of fresh linens, single-use laundry detergent and dryer sheets, and there is even a sanitary seal on the toilet seats!

I'll start off by saying, I did read the only other review & it doesn't quite seem to add up to…read morethis place. I've counted like 6 cabins here on the campground, of which none are pictured like the one in the previous review. Perhaps they have another area I've not seen? Anyhow. We are located right behind the pavilion. When we first arrived, the pavilion was packed with people gathered making homemade ice cream. Although we were invited, we declined so we can get unpacked and head out to dinner. We went to the pool as well, our son had a blast. It was salty, which after some research discovered it's most likely from the use of liquid chlorine, no big deal. The cabin itself. It's small, cozy and clean. Loved the little kitchen area, with the mini fridge and coffee pot. It has a futon as well, which we pulled out for our son to sleep on. The shower is extremely small, which it was difficult to get my son in there with me for a quick wash after the pool. I'll have to remember to make sure places have a tub for our little one(s). I went to move the shower head and water squirt out of the top, so I quickly left it alone. The bed, ehh. Not that comfy, but more comfortable than if we camped out in a tent The pillows were mediocre, so we went and got a few pillows of our own. Overall, the cabin is nice. It's simple & it's exactly what was pictured online. Had extra blankets, towels, silverware, etc. The cabin itself is for sure my favorite part. I do appreciate that unlike a hotel, they don't bother with cleaning until you leave. Which I like. Overall, I wouldn't want to be located near the pavilion again. I'd like to see where the cabin is the other reviewer spoke of. But in general, based on personal taste & nothing against Arrow Creek, we will likely look for something more secluded next time. So, I will say, it's Monday night & we leave tomorrow. It was extremely quiet outside tonight. I barely seen or heard anyone at all. Perhaps the noise was from everybody celebrating the 4th.

It's the most beautiful cabin I've been to it has beautiful bedrooms. The bathrooms were beautiful,…read morethey were very clean. The pool itself was warm that outside living, but the TV was excellent, with the gas grill, if you don't want to go anywheres and spend some time at the cabin, you got everything to a movie theater game room. Outside living beautiful nature. The people were very nice if you needed anything.I give it a ten and I think the families would enjoy this cabin

We stayed in the Firefly Lodge cabin…read more Useful building details for the Firefly Lodge: -There is one stair required to get into the cabin. Someone who has difficulty with stairs could still enjoy the cabin as there's a full King-sized bedroom with attached no-ledge standing shower on the first floor. However, the King-sized bed is surprisingly tall (even our 6' tall people have to hop into it), so this may be a problem. The movie theater is up a flight of stairs. -The movie theater has 8 "movie theater" chairs complete with cupholders. They are a comfortable, but snug, fit on my size 22 hips. The cup holders do raise up for more space. Each chair reclines, but you have to apply pressure to keep it reclined; it doesn't stay nicely reclined for napping. -There is a toilet, essentially, in a spacious closet right next to the pool table. There is a two-sink bathroom with standing shower (with curtain) in the first floor bedroom with King bed and heart tub. The second bedroom has a full-sized tub/shower combo with curtain and two sinks upstairs with the bunk beds. (Bunk beds are gigantic and either queens or fulls). The third bedroom, upstairs, has a single sink with standing glass shower in addition to a white jacuzzi tub and King-sized bed. -You have neighbors, but sound matters more here. The sound carries well over the mountain, but from your back porch, as long as trees are in bloom, it's hard to see anyone else. Best enjoyment of the cabin: -Plan for chilly mornings. Temperature rises in this two-story cabin, and the first floor can get chilly while the second floor is comfortable. Use the fireplace as your primary heating source on the first floor. It's REALLY effective. Pack long sleeves and pants - even if you don't think the weather warrants it. Weather gets weirder up in the mountains. -If you're addicted to caffeine and terrible at making it, the Gatlingburg Grind coffeeshop is about a 5 minute drive away as your closest coffee option. -If you're not familiar with mountain driving, do not let the GPS take you on Lower Powdermill Rd. Eat the few extra minutes and use Boogertown to avoid the one-lane, no-line road of Lower Powdermill. PROS: -Everything (aside from a grill hiccup) worked flawlessly. The projector system worked (once you followed the instructions to a T. I've never seen an entire system routed through a soundbar?), the pool table had all of its accessories, the fireplace popped on as expected, laundry was great, -Fantastic water pressure and hot water tank capacity. We have yet to run out of hot water during a shower. -The complex's roads are paved. Some of them are steep (I wouldn't attempt them with a sedan while icy), but they were just fine for our sedans in the rain. You can get to the complex by using fully paved roads as well. -The cabin feels private from the back porch. There are neighbors around, but the back porch overlooks the forest, and it's pretty much trees as far as the eye can see. This makes the hot tub (which overlooks these trees) feel pretty luxurious. CONS: -The cabin is about 25 minutes away from most of the activities at Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville. If you book this cabin, though, you probably know that, and it's more of an "FYI" than a Con. -No easy/safe way to really "hike" the complex. The only paved roads are driving roads - many with blind curves. The porch of most of the cabins overhangs a sharp cliff/mountainside. Despite being in the middle of the beautiful woods, there isn't anywhere here that's really made for walking. -Cabin has the bare basics, but it's missing a lot of things that have been standard in other VRBOs - like spices for grilling. Expect to buy literally everything aside from salt and pepper. -Check-in time was supposed to be 3PM. They were supposed to send a code via text when it was ready, but instead, around 2:30 PM, we got an email stating the cabin was running late and to expect a later check-in at 4PM. We could make that work. We spent time sitting around in town, dawdling for groceries, etc. Finally, we hadn't heard back from anyone by 4:45PM, so we started making the trek to the cabin. At 5:15PM, still nothing. We figured we'd talk to a human when we made it to the complex, so we started the drive - only to find there is no lobby/human. When we made it to the cabin at 5:15, still with no way to get into the cabin, we were very frustrated to find we didn't have any cell service or internet. So no way to reach out at all. We had to go driving through the mountains to get enough service to call someone. They responded quickly saying they had a known glitch in the system today that didn't send out codes as expected, but with as few cabins as they own, it seems weird that no one bothered to reach out to the few people checkin in that day to make sure we didn't waste 3 hours waiting on them. -Our cabin had a propane line leak, but they were quick (same day) in sending someone out to fix it.

I encountered several issues that made my stay uncomfortable, including: * Smell - Mold/Mildew/Smoke - very stale and irritating allergens - it was hard to even stay inside the smell was so offensive * Jacuzzi tub - black grit/dirt coming out of faucet with water; loud squealing noise in pipes? * Hot Tub - green slime in tub, odd chemical smell - not related to chlorine products * Tub/Shower - brown water coming out of faucet for extended period of time * TV remote would not work * Yellow stained sheets, smelling of smoke All of these were discovered upon check-in. It appeared that the cabin may not have been used for some time and wasn't updated for guest arrival. We attempted to eliminate the odor with sprays/disinfectants that we had to go and purchase. We then attempted to use the hot tub, jets would not stay on and there appeared to be some sort of slime in the tub. Upon exiting the hot tub, we tried the jacuzzi tub to rinse the slime off; that water was just as bad, then attempted to shower only to find it much worse. We gave the cabin a chance even though we weren't happy upon arrival. Things just progressively got worse. This was such a disappointment for our Anniversary stay. We travel often and have rented cabins in a variety of areas across the country. Older/aged cabins are common to us; this was well below expectations and description. We unfortunately did not trust that we would be able to seek resolution at 10pm and chose to check into a cabin owned by a different company. We did not get settled until well after midnight somewhere else and lost so much time.

We stayed in Ole Smokey Retreat, and it was just as magnificent as the pictures. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and pretty much everything we needed to cook with during our stay. Each bedroom had it's own unique design and the pool table in the bottom floor was a nice addition. It actually wasn't too cold while we were there, so we were tempted to try the hot tub, but eventually decided against it. You don't actually interact with any of the staff, but from my discussions on the phone with them, they seem like nice folks. Would definitely rent from them again if we take a trip to the area again. A couple tips: This cabin is actually in Pigeon Forge, not Gatlinburg. If you're not familiar with the area, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are neighboring towns and you can get to all the Gatlinburg attractions in less than 10 minutes. Pigeon Forge has a lot of great things to do as well if you want to stay closer to the cabin. You're close enough to everything, but just far enough from the main drag that it feels a lot more peaceful when you're at the cabin. Also, you absolutely MUST eat breakfast at Mama's Farmhouse while you are there!

Before we ever arrived, we had multiple payment-related issues that required weeks of back and forth to resolve. The full balance was pulled incorrectly, I received messages saying our payment had been declined despite providing screenshots showing the charge and confirmation, and it took repeated communication before the payment was finally located and confirmed. Unfortunately, once we arrived, the cabin was not properly cleaned between guests. There was a strong smoke odor throughout the cabin, broken glass left behind, personal belongings from previous guests, clothing under furniture, confetti/debris, and remnants from what appeared to be a prior party. We had children staying with us, so the broken glass was especially concerning. Because we arrived shortly before scheduled dinner reservations, we did not spend our first night waiting on housekeeping or maintenance. Instead, we handled it ourselves so our family could safely settle in. We stripped beds, sanitized surfaces, cleaned bathrooms, and purchased replacement bedding and towels locally because of the smoke odor and concerns about cleanliness. We still made the best of our time in Pigeon Forge, but the overall experience fell far below expectations, especially given the amount paid for the stay. After checkout, I contacted management privately with photos and details of the issues. I also sent a polite follow-up when I received no response. As of posting this review, I still have not received any acknowledgment or response. Mistakes happen, but the lack of communication after being given the opportunity to address the situation privately is incredibly disappointing. Based on the cleanliness concerns, safety issue with broken glass, payment problems, and lack of response from management, I would not book again.

Oh yes, and a heated pool with Clubhouse just 5 minutes away on the property. I know, SWEET, Right? Emotional Rescue Cabin was perfect for us being 3 couples with 2 children and wanting a place to unwind for 5 days. All we needed to bring was clothing & toiletries. Sure, food is good, especially if you want to cook and we did have breakfast in each morning. From the vaulted ceilings, jaw dropping warm wood finishes and perfectly selected Smokey Mountain décor you'll love the nature wood beauty and cozy décor. The panoramic views of Mt. LeConte are breathtaking from inside or outside the cabin with two full length decks with rocking chairs and a swing outside each bedroom. Fall into the oversize sofas and curl up in front of one of the 2 stone fireplaces with 50 inch HDTV plasma TVs, with cable, movie channels plus DVD players in a home having practically everything you could possibly want. This was our first stay at one of Jackson Mountain Home Cabin Rentals in Gatlinburg, TN. We had viewed the cabin online but the pictures honestly don't do it justice. As we drove into the Black Bear Falls Community and farther and farther up the mountain the views only improved and cabin sizes seemed to increase. As we drove along I suddenly wondered why we had waited so long to rent a cabin. Almost to the top of the mountain road we pulled into the huge 2450 sq. ft. Emotional Rescue Log Home. We had been told we had four parking spaces and 4 vehicles fit well in the area. As we unloaded the vehicles we so appreciated the few 5 or 6 steps from the car to the front door. As you enter the foyer you can immediately turn left and down the stairs to the game room and two lower king size bedrooms or straight ahead with 2 king bedrooms & baths on each side of living room. The layout provides so much privacy in each bedroom and bath that we often forgot we were with two other couples. Both common areas are perfect for lounging in front of the 50 inch plasma TV or enjoying appetizers in front of the fireplace for long conversations while enjoying the spectacular view. We were told traveling to Gatlinburg from our cabin would be approximately 10 minutes but honestly it felt more like a half hour. The roads are narrow and curvy which you expect in the majestic Smokies but allow for additional time when traveling. Prefer to stay in and take full advantage of the cabin amenities then try your hand at pool or one of the 60 classic games on the game console. Remember Pac Man? The heated pool area is lovely and close to the cabin but I recommend you drive instead of walking with the blind spots on the curves. With flat screen televisions in each bedroom, two 50 inch plasmas TV in the common areas, 6DVD players, a phenomenal kitchen and dining room and a soothing hot tub on the scenic lower deck you find yourself not wanting to leave the cabin. One of my personal favorites is the cabin has a custom whole house, 5.1 surround sound audio system. 8 zones, each with touch button wall controls, and stereo in all bedrooms and on both decks! It was great having quick, accessible music on the decks, while in the hot tub, party music in the game room and easy jazz during dining and in each bedroom and bath. Oh, I almost forgot the wireless Internet connection for all our phones and laptops. One other amenity I haven't mention is you have access to the Gatlinburg Community Center. There you can bowl, play billiards, basketball, racquet ball, use the indoor pool and walking track. There is a small usage fee but I don't remember how much it was. I can't imagine anyone having the need or time unless you're stuck in a snow storm but it is available. This isn't a hotel with daily room service. Housekeeping doesn't clean daily nor bring fresh towels and sheets each day but you can pick up at the office. We just took advantage of the washer and dryer in the cabin for our personal clothing, swimsuits, and towels. When you are ready to leave, you'll contact the office and a staff member will quickly inspect the cabin before you leave. I'll leave you with this. If you want a gorgeous cabin that with 4 King Size Bedrooms and baths with spectacular views and you want to pack lightly, then call and reserve this cabin. You will not be disappointed. One last suggestion is grab breakfast in Gatlinburg at Crockett's 1875 Breakfast Camp who has Fabulous Food and a fun 1800's atmosphere. Well worth the wait.
