My daughter and I discovered this gem after a bridal fitting. Oh my goodness! It was fabulous! A gentleman working there recommended the Pad See Ew which I have never tried ? I'm always going for the typical Pad Thai, but what a wonder change of pace. Since that day over a year ago , I've tried all Thai restaurants near me but never has one duplicated the unique flavors that hit the Cozy Thai version. Also to sip we ordered a ginger tea & an iced tea. For dinner we ordered Thai vegetable soup, I was disappointed because it was basically a broth with scallions none of the vegetables listed was on it. Has been one of my favorite restaurants in Hamburg for years. They've made it into such a lovely and cozy space. My favorite dish has to be their pad kee mao. Their Penang curry is also so delicious and balanced, and I also love their Thai basil rice. The crispy spring rolls are also a must. It was my birthday and the weather was pretty horrible. We decided to order take out. Cozy Thai is one of our favorites in Hamburg. Some feedback for the restaurant team is to add more vegetables to the curry dishes. I ordered the tofu Panang Curry. The menu states this dish is made with broccoli, carrots, bell pepper, lime leaves and crushed peanuts. There were probably 4 vegis total in this dish. I was very disappointed. Hands down my favorite Thai place in the Buffalo area. I've tried half the menu now and can safely say that literally everything is delicious and you cannot go wrong with a single dish. My personal favorites are the Tom kha soup and the Panaang Curry and Green Tea Noodles. The ginger tea and mango rice pudding are also delicious. We always get the fresh spring rolls to start. We have showed up pretty close to close a couple of times and they have graciously seated us and we've been able to get in and out within a half hour so that we're not the last table there. I had their Eggplant Special and the eggplants were delicious with the batter adding a nice crispness despite being served with sauce. We were headed back and halfway through out long trip thought to check out Cozy Thai. We were super pleasantly surprised by the clean and neat interior and welcoming crew. We arrested many different food options and everything tasted fresh, y and well made. I am only subtracting one star, since despite overall deliciousness, I felt the food is slightly lacking authentic flavors and is a bit too sweet for my liking. (This comment is especially pertaining the Tom Yum soup and pad see ew) My personal favorites was the red snapper! The duck was a perfection as well! We were told that this was one of the best Thai restaurants in the area of Western New York. Unfortunately, we found this to be a myth and untrue. The service was quite poor. Had to request chop sticks 3 times before they were even delivered. The soup was not what was ordered and I have to blame the wait staff for not listening. Unfortunately, this is very true of young serving staff. We have noticed this in many restaurants that we have left reviews and I blame restaurant owners for not educating their staff. The food was of good quality however, I have had much better Thai food elsewhere. I do hope that your experience is much better than ours. read more

My son bought me here as we both love eating different cultural foods. Well I'm extremely happy that he did. Very clean and welcoming atmosphere and I wouldn't have thought that before entering. The service was incredible. The food was fantastic and my son informed me that he and his wife frequented this establishment for quite some time before relocating out of the area. There was a very large group that arrived before us so it took a while to get our food, but someone came out TWICE to apologize and explain the situation which was very much appreciated. I love the food here and the prices aren't too bad comparatively considering the inflation in the economy recently... but I was surprised to see that they didn't have some type of children's option. I would really think they would allow a side of plain noodles or *something* for children under 12. For reference, I came here with my 4 year old, my sister who was visiting from out of town, and our friend whom we haven't seen in a long time. We had a really good time but my daughter just ate the veggies I picked out of my curry and some spring rolls and tempura. I would definitely come here again but not with my child because of this. And maybe that's what they want- a child free environment. But I wouldn't advise to bring your kids here because of limited menu options regarding kids. read more

We've been to Cozy Thai in Hamburg a few times, but I've never reviewed it. In the situation we're in right now, it seemed important to finally correct that. We were looking for a place to order take out from, and Cozy Thai came to mind. I called in and the gentleman on the phone told me that they were still taking pick-up orders. So I ordered the Pad See Ew with tofu. He inquired if I wanted it spicy, I said yes. Then he asked how spicy... I said "as spicy as you can make it" to which he replied "that's Thai spicy, are you sure?" I assured him that it would be fine. We we arrived at the restaurant, it was clear that a system for Covid-19 precaution was in place. The server stood behind the register counter and ushered us to use a bottle of hand sanitizer. He then gave the card reader, and when the receipt printed he gestured to a cup full of sterilized pens to sign for the order. Then he gestured to another cup of pens, to make sure the sterilized ones weren't compromised. Then he gestured to the table where our order was sitting ready to go. It was very nice to see such thought put into creating a clean but welcoming environment inside the restaurant! The Pad See Ew was spicy. Very spicy. Eat with two glasses of milk at the ready type of spicy. But it was exceptionally good! We split the meal but I think I ended up eating more than my half... it was delicious! We'd probably back down to two spicy next time rather than three (or "Thai spicy") but it was a great experience! If you're looking for something hot but still have a lot of good flavor, it can't be beat! read more

I brought my girlfriend here last Saturday evening for a quiet dinner. This was our first time here and it looks like it was recently remodeled as everything looking like new. The food was tasty with above average portions with minimal wait time. I had the Tom Yum soup and the Panang Shrimp Curry. Both tasted excellent. This is my second try, first time I had a piece of hair in my food, second time I ordered to go, The pad Thai as you can see was a clumpy because it was overcooked and starchy, they also forgot my Thai tea and I had to go back and they said I should have told them because it doesn't print out; the amount of rice they gave me with my other entree was a half of a cup and I had to make some more at home. This is a super "cozy" family restaurant that serves Thai and Vietnamese dishes. Since we've moved to Hamburg (about 4 years ago), we have dined in once but gotten takeout numerous times - especially in 2020 when the pandemic hit, we felt the need to provide extra support local businesses. They had great pandemic social distancing protocols including separate holders for "sanitized" and "used" pens, plenty of hand sanitizers, and the owner even sanitizes your credit card before handing it back to you. We have tried a number of their dishes over the years and they're all pretty good. My go-to appetizer is always the fresh spring roll with chicken and shrimp, and sometimes we will order the crispy spring rolls or the fried pork dumplings. For entrees, I usually get the chicken pad thai or the fried thin noodle which are both delicious. I have to be honest - their pad thai sauce isn't my favorite but I like it enough to still order it from time to time. Most times I like to order the fried thin noodle because it's not something that all thai/vietnamese restaurants offer, and it's also a little less "carby" so it makes me feel like I'm eating a little bit healthier. I absolutely adore the owners as they are always super friendly and the customer service is just top notch, and I have to say - it's the only place I have ordered takeout from where they have not messed up my order even once (hope I didn't just jinx myself), and I imagine that even if they did - they'd be deeply apologetic and do whatever it takes to fix the problem. Every other place I have gotten takeout or delivery from ever since the pandemic started - something is always wrong or missing and these other businesses just don't seem to care. I was understanding when it all started, but now over a year later - I'm less likely to put up with unapologetic attitudes and would rather just spend my money elsewhere, like at Cozy Thai. I work in the area and decided to try this spot out. There doesn't seem to be a lot of options so this looked promising. They have a huge menu with tons of options! Food came out really quickly as well, which was nice. I started with the tempura vegetables and they were SO GOOD. The portion is huge, I should have gotten it for dinner! They had a variety of veggies and I was a huge fan. Cooked perfectly. I also got the papaya salad, which I'm usually a fan of. I'm not sure if they used fish sauce (it wasn't listed) or what, but it tasted fishy. As someone who doesn't eat fish, I didn't really touch this. I also got the Thai tea which was BOMB. They had so many great options on their menu, I will definitely be back to try an entree next time! read more

Very refreshing, inviting and comfortable atmosphere. If they would pull the weeds surrounding the place, or at least mow them, it would definitely give a better and more appeal from the outside. The chef/owner & brother/sister team of Let Kyaw and Ei Ei An took over a former Thai restaurant on a corner of a little Hamburg neighborhood, remodeling the dining area, creating a cozy atmosphere with two rooms and decor from Thailand and making it their own. I'm in Hamburg for the week for training for a new job and went to Yelp looking for places to eat. I was initially interested in Cozy Thai because I noticed on their sushi menu, they had a buffalo chicken roll, which was different and intrigued me. It was close to the hotel I'm staying at, so I drove the short drive over. The restaurant is very easy to pass by, as it just looks like a regular normal house from the outside. I was sat right away and given a menu. I didn't see any sushi on it, and when I asked, I was told it was only sold on certain days. I was a little disappointed, but there were other options to choose from. I ordered a Thai tea, and order of fried dumplings, and fried egg noodles with chicken and veggies. Everything was brought extremely quickly and was very good. The Thai tea was nice and sweet, the dumplings were deep fried, not pan fried, so they were crispy and served with a tasty sauce. The fried egg noodles we're very good and tasty and a perfect sized portion. Prices were comparable to other places and employees were very friendly. Cozy Thai is one of those places I wish was around the corner from my house so I can come if not daily... at least once a week! After a good time at Just Fun with the fam I found this little gem while searching for a vegan place to eat around the area (thanks Yelp!). Not always a fan of trying new places but figured we can't go wrong with 1) Thai food and 2) good yelp reviews. We had the cashew nut special with tofu and brown rice, vegetable tempura, crispy veggie spring rolls and veggie dumplings. I ordered a second plate for the last 3 items mentioned as my group enjoyed it A LOT. The entree was amazing with the blend of peppers, scallion, tofu and cashew nuts in a hearty broth - I must know the recipe for it!! The staff was very pleasant, a gentleman (I think the owner?) came to check on us several times, and assured us the food would be coming out shortly - the appetizers were made fresh as we were dining on the entree -. All the tables were filled by the time we sat down with more customers coming in to dine or pick up their order. Pretty interior, with a little dimming of the lights it can feel like an intimate date. We can't wait to come back and try other dishes - easily my favorite Thai spot in the area, and winner of my rare 5 stars! read more
