    Chicken Pad Thai
    Sharlee R.

Never been disappointed when ordering from here . Pick up or delivery, the food is always so fresh and delicious. Located on Elmwood makes it convenient for everyone to stop by and try. When you walk in your always greater with a friendly, kind face. Although they do have dine-in seating; we've always order to take out. Our go to is the chicken pad thai. It's honestly the best I've had so far in Buffalo (in my opinion) very favorable . The crab ragoon egg rolls, edamame and tempura shrimp are our favorite appetizers . All very fresh and delicious. The price is amazing. When we order it's usually no more that 30 , and there's always left overs for lunch . I definitely recommend. It can be for lunch or dinner and they have such a variety to order from. Get yours today!

It is great for late night food when everywhere else was closed. Service was good, food quality was average. Price was reasonable.

I met up with a friend to catch up on a cold day so it was obviously time to order pho. My first time here, I was impressed with the large menu and variety of Asian cuisines offered in this fun and casual spot. They seem to do a large takeout business but have some tables to sit inside and eat as well. The pho was hot and delicious and had plenty of big shrimp that were perfectly cooked. Service was friendly and quick and prices were very reasonable. I am excited to go back and try more.

Lots of places closed on a Monday for lunch but the place is always open Monday's. So if you are in this area on a Monday give it a try

Steamed Dumplings with barely any dumpling in the dumpling

I ordered from Street Asian based on the reputation they are building, and now that I have... I don't get it. Their food is objectively adequate. The dumplings may have been tasty, but there was almost nothing inside the dumplings so every bite tasted primarily like the casing. DEFINITELY not worth the $6. The veggie spring rolls were fresh, and tasted good, and fair for $6. The sesame chicken was fine, not at all remarkable- was a little annoyed by an aspartame aftertaste. CERTAINLY not a $14 portion. Absolutely not eager to go back. Flavor: meh, fine Value: AWFUL

Discovered this place when I went to the Little Salmon Yelp event . Very clean and friendly /attentive customer service . That day I ordered the Thai basil fried rice with chicken (spice level medium) . It was a generous portion and although flavorful , was a bit too spicy for me . Yesterday , I suggested that I pick up some Thai takeout from this place on my way home from work for my friend and I . We chose a few things off the menu .... A Chicken Pad Thai, the Street Asian Food Medley, and the grilled salmon sushi roll . I suggested we do a mild spice level since the rice the week before was so intense, heat wise. The food was ready and waiting for us . The street Asian food was my favorite of the 3 .... It contained a protein punch with chicken , shrimp, beef, pork and scallops (I omitted the squid) . I do wish it came with more white rice . The salmon roll was fresh tasting too , I'd like to try more of their sushi selections . Sadly , the pad Thai was a bit bland , believe it or not, it may of benefited being spicier (and more cilantro) . The menu is so diverse and interesting plus the customer service is great so I'll be back to try more of the cuisine !

Located right on Elmwood. The menu has a lot of different mixtures of food from Vietnamese. Thai, Asian. We each got a different dish to try and share as we couldn't decide. We started with the chicken dumplings and veggie spring rolls. Entree we had shrimp pho, general Tao chicken and beef pad Thai. The food was good and tasty. You order and pay at the counter and they deliver food to your table. Disappointed in lack of shrimp in Pho. Friendly service.

    Pad Thai

I ordered from street Asian food two meals to see what they had to offer. One meal was the chicken Pho and the other was Pad Thai. The pho was really great and came with a great broth that was housemade and I really enjoyed that. The pad Thai appeared so bone dry (see pic) that I wasn't sure what to expect. For the price, it was definitely the smallest portion this meal I've ever received, compared to other local offerings. It tasted fine, but definitely did not look very appealing. Overall, the meals were good, but I would have liked a bit more pad thai. Maybe when it's not to-go the portions are better.

Pleasant and on the lower lit side, very warm inside, delicious sushi and a warm, creamy flan. The nature documentary on tv was a bonus.

The presentation on the coconut shrimp roll was top-notch!

Our first lunch (Day 1, Meal 2) on our Western New York family vacation was Street Asian Food. Having done our research ahead of time, we selected this restaurant because it was open on Mondays, we love pan-Asian food, and it was conveniently located between the Frank Lloyd Wright House and our next destination, the Buffalo Naval Park. Arriving at the restaurant at 12:40pm, street parking was super easy, so we proceeded inside to discover it was ... completely empty. However while studying the large, wall-mounted menu board, an employee soundlessly appeared from behind the curtain leading to what I presume was the kitchen. Apparently in the mood for sushi rolls, we ordered a mango roll, two spicy rolls (one each crab and salmon), a green avocado roll, a coconut shrimp roll, four lemonades, and a tea. Before tax and tip, our bill came to $52, which felt appropriately pricey, considering what we ordered. Oddly, other than telling us how much our order cost, I do not think the employee said a single word, offering no advice, suggestions, or even comments like "that is a good roll" or "you will love this one!" We then moved to the dining area in the front part of the restaurant, and since the place was deserted, we moved a couple of tables so all five of us could sit together. However after a few minutes, we had to move the tables further away from the trap door in the floor, because it was strangely uneven / wobbly. Décor in the restaurant was pleasingly straightforward, with clean black walls on the top half, a green chair rail (plus green accents), and white walls (clapboard?) below the rail. A few generically pan-Asian photos of food, people, and people enjoying food completed the motif. In short order, our rolls were wordlessly delivered by the employee, and I have to say that my coconut shrimp roll looked fantastic! Everyone in our family agreed that the presentation was top notch, and their rolls looked great! Likewise everyone said their rolls tasted from good to very good, but none were great. We felt the portion sizes were about average. For good food with an outstanding presentation, I rate Street Asian Food as being Very Good, and would definitely return!

The coconut shrimp sushi roll was the best thing I've eaten recently! Wow! The Volcano roll was so good too! The Rangoon roll was 3 out of five. Kind of lacked any flavor to be honest. But everything else was so good I don't even care lol. Got this for delivery via door dash.

Food was so good, we ended up going back a week later and tried new items from the menu. Service was great, food was delicious, perfect quick spot to go to before seeing a show at Kleinhans Music Hall.

From the inside it's not much to look-at, and everyone orders at the counter and then they bring you out your food, but the dishes we ordered and service was great this past Friday evening! My husband and I tried the salmon roll, the pad see wee with chicken and their chicken spring rolls. Salmon roll with white rice was nicely prepared and a large roll for the price. Chicken spring rolls were nice and hot and yummy. The pad see wee was delicious!!! Had seen others comment saying some of the best that they had tried, and I have to agree! Very flavorful and I wish I had a nice hot plate of it now! We dined with another couple who enjoyed some of their Burmese specialties, curry chicken and a chicken fried rice. It looks like they do a big take-out business/delivery but we also had great service from the woman at the counter who got us extra sauces for our rolls and kept our water refilled.

I got the Pad Ka Pow with pork and an order of the spring rolls. The service was so fast here and friendly. I got my food to go and it was still piping hot when I got home 15 minutes later. This is quite the meal with a large portion of rice in the main dish and five spring rolls. It was delicious from start to finish. Each dish came with an extra sauce to use or dip into. The spring rolls were crispy and full of flavor. The pad ka pow was a perfect balance of savory flavor with the right amount of spice. I should have asked to get shrimp with it this time, but that will happen when I go back next time. The parking at Chandler Street can be a little tough but I found a spot which was nice. The cashier was a little gruff, but the woman running back and forth between the kitchen and the front had a better business sense about keeping customers happy. She didn't want me to wait long, so I think she rushed the kitchen a little bit, which I appreciated, but also may have led to some of the demerits on the food I mention below. I was happy to see one dish I ordered, the pig intestine with fish, on their picture board above the cash registers. That gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing and it was the best dish by far out of the three I ordered. The intestine was fresh and flavorful, the spice level was high, but also not too salty. It was a lot of food. Only drawback here was the fish (tilapia?) seemed to be heavy on the breading. The other two dishes were disappointing. Penang curry with pork had good vegetables, but the sauce had too little flavor since they went too heavy on the coconut milk. The pork seemed like chicken, not pork. Way too soft and flavorless. The Singapore Chow Mei Fun had good noodles and veggies. But the curry powder was not blended in. Eating it, I could still feel it in powder form. It was also far too oily. Overall, I think they had a lot of options but next time I'd steer more towards classic Chinese, since that seems to be what they do well. I hope next time the flavors will be stronger and blended better (i.e. powders actually stirred in). I'm willing to give them another chance, since they do have a lot of dishes I like. Last note: the online ordering service does not indicate that dishes come with rice. I thought they would have rice by default, but then when I added the penang curry to my cart, it asked whether I wanted rice or noodles or something else. So that made me think I had to order rice separately, which meant I had twice as much rice as I needed. It also said "quart of white rice" was sold out, but "pint of white rice" was not, yet the rice that came with my meal came in a quart container.
