Thank you Chad for fantastic workmanship and the timely installation of recessed lighting in my house what a difference it made. I appreciate the timely service, clean installation, professional delivery of work. Nicely done. Wish you and your staff the best.

My new kitchen light much brighter.

I had a ceiling fan installed and a new kitchen light. He went above and beyond, had affordable prices definitely recommend..

This is how Chad Abbott left the job site after throwing a temper tantrum

Chad Abbott was given a simple task, to move a wire, that would take an experienced electricianabout an hr. He talked nonstop about how experienced he was, but seven hrs into his incompetence the lights in our house did not work and he could not even identify where he messed up. He cut off a wire somewhere, so half of the house went off grid. Right away blamed it on a bad breaker, claimed breakers were old, bad and need to be changed. So he did. Dah! Changing all breakers did not fix the issue, still no electricity. So Chad Abott claimed he would not charge the client for new breakers that were not needed anyways. Documented, recorded. Chad moved on to another area saying someone before him messed up the wiring even though everything was working well for over 5 yrs in the house. Got several recepticals and switches out, made a mess, found nothing that could fix the issue he originally caused, but fingerpointed and blamed the local electrician who wired the light 5 yrs ago that worked perfectly. Still did not fix the issue he caused. His analytical thinking leaves much to be desired. Unable to diagnose what it is that he's done to the wiring, he had to run another wire to bypass the problem. "Fixed it"? Not! Strarted putting all the other switches and recepticals together "the right way", well they stopped working. The homeowner basically babysat these guys all day. Found a connection Chris left ungrounded, reminded him to ground it several times. It was left ungrounded. Told Chad to wire everything he touched back together how it was. Chad started to behave unprofessionally, raising his voice, arguing, became belligerent, blaming everybody but himself, lost a 3 way switch the homeowner provided, etc. The homeowner finally told Chad to put everything back together and working, use correct screws on a switch instead of wood screw that was stripping the threads Chad was using. The dude went nuts. Homeowner told him raising his voice was not going to be tolerated on the property. They had enough of this "licensed electrician's" antics, false promises and 6 hours of bs (coupled with constant concocted lies fed to the next client who was waiting all day). Chad Abott threw a major temper tantrum, screamed he was going to take all his new breakers out, but refused to put the homeowner's breakers back in. Basically he threatened to just leave the house without electricity. Why then tell the homeowner he changed them for free? Ooops! CPA electric ran away from the job site leaving several recepticals out of the wall with bare wires out, one switch that was working perfectly before his "services" now does not work, other switches are out, wires left ungrounded, trash everywhere. They were in a hurry to "another client". And then the sh*t hit the ceiling fan. Threats, demands, accusations of non-payment, attempts to paint homeowners as thieves, "see you in court" drama. Unbelievable verbal abuse, all documented in texts coming from CPA Electric. The homeowner asked for CPA Electric license number, insurance contacts and his attorney's contact, told the attorney to contact the homeowner asap. Chad Abbott bragged he did not pay for insurance. He lies on his cards. Hold on! The payment was not even discussed as CPA Electric ran away in a hurry to another client with job unfinished, leaving this job a complete disaster. What payment were they talking about? On the way out Chad Abbott were threatening the homeowner that when the homeowner leaves, he was going to come back and get all of his new breakers he supposedly installed at no charge All of this was recorded on homeowner's cameras. Threats, accusations mixed with apologies coming from Chad Abbott vary hr by hr. Abott called us 10 times at night threatening.

Chad even took the time to label each location in the panel so that I can easily determine each of the switches.

BK Electric came out within a few days to take a look and give an estimate. I had received a lot of estimates for this project and BK Electric was in the lower middle range of the prices I got. Scheduling: This was honestly a nightmare. After I signed the contract and put down a deposit they scheduled me on a day for the following week. This outlet installation was required to be completed prior to a Costco purchased microwave delivery and installation appointment. They cancelled on me and needed to reschedule 3 separate times. Each time I was only notified the day of the scheduled appointment. This caused the follow on Costco microwave installation appointment to need to be rescheduled each time. To be fair to the person in the office, Eli, it wasn't his fault and he was properly scheduling and doing his best to get the electricians out to do the job. It was the electrians who either were calling out that day or last minute going to "higher priority" job sites. However, for the BK Electric as a whole, this is pretty terrible customer service. Work: The quality of the work seemed good. Where and how the ran the line and the junction box with the outlet installation all seemed cleanly done. However, there was an issue where they did not install a GFCI outlet in the new location that required it. This delayed the microwave installation since the Costco installers refused to install without a GFCI outlet. I had to call BK Electric and have them come back and fix it.

Scheduling with them initially was a little confusing - first we were messaging through Yelp, then text, then they sent me to their website. They were communicative but I never knew which channel to reach out to first. They did come out quickly which was appreciated. The first two gentleman that came to replace my fan and fix my ceiling light were not great. They would look at something, and then disappear and call someone and be on the phone with someone while they were looking at the fan or light fixture, almost like they were calling someone and asking them what they should do. Shouldn't they know? They were at my house for HOURS. WAY longer than I think they should have been. They would just look at the light fixture and talk to each other for like 5 minutes, then step out to make a phone call, then come back and start working on it. Over and over and over. They took a brand new fan out of the box and replaced it, but it wobbled like crazy (turns out they just didn't put the fan together really well because the second guys that came back made it much better). When they replaced my dimmer switch and celiing light, it looked AWFUL. Wasn't flush to the ceiling at all. They told me just to patch it, but this clearly needed more than a patch! I couldn't believe they just left it like that. I called and told them I was unhappy with their work, and they offered to come back and fix it. The second guys that came back were in and out so fast. They fixed the light and it looks perfect, just as it should. Clearly the first guys that came out had no idea what they were doing. Disappointed to have had a less than stellar experience, considering how highly reviewed they are. It must depend on what service folks you have come out to actually do the work.
