Chad Abbott was given a simple task, to move a wire, that would take an experienced electrician about an hr. He talked nonstop about how experienced he was, but seven hrs into his incompetence the lights in our house did not work and he could not even identify where he messed up. He cut off a wire somewhere, so half of the house went off grid. Right away blamed it on a bad breaker, claimed breakers were old, bad and need to be changed. So he did. Dah! Changing all breakers did not fix the issue, still no electricity. So Chad Abott claimed he would not charge the client for new breakers that were not needed anyways. Documented, recorded. Chad moved on to another area saying someone before him messed up the wiring even though everything was working well for over 5 yrs in the house. Got several recepticals and switches out, made a mess, found nothing that could fix the issue he originally caused, but fingerpointed and blamed the local electrician who wired the light 5 yrs ago that worked perfectly. Still did not fix the issue he caused. His analytical thinking leaves much to be desired. Unable to diagnose what it is that he's done to the wiring, he had to run another wire to bypass the problem. "Fixed it"? Not! Strarted putting all the other switches and recepticals together "the right way", well they stopped working. The homeowner basically babysat these guys all day. Found a connection Chris left ungrounded, reminded him to ground it several times. It was left ungrounded. Told Chad to wire everything he touched back together how it was. Chad started to behave unprofessionally, raising his voice, arguing, became belligerent, blaming everybody but himself, lost a 3 way switch the homeowner provided, etc. The homeowner finally told Chad to put everything back together and working, use correct screws on a switch instead of wood screw that was stripping the threads Chad was using. The dude went nuts. Homeowner told him raising his voice was not going to be tolerated on the property. They had enough of this "licensed electrician's" antics, false promises and 6 hours of bs (coupled with constant concocted lies fed to the next client who was waiting all day). Chad Abott threw a major temper tantrum, screamed he was going to take all his new breakers out, but refused to put the homeowner's breakers back in. Basically he threatened to just leave the house without electricity. Why then tell the homeowner he changed them for free? Ooops! CPA electric ran away from the job site leaving several recepticals out of the wall with bare wires out, one switch that was working perfectly before his "services" now does not work, other switches are out, wires left ungrounded, trash everywhere. They were in a hurry to "another client". And then the sh*t hit the ceiling fan. Threats, demands, accusations of non-payment, attempts to paint homeowners as thieves, "see you in court" drama. Unbelievable verbal abuse, all documented in texts coming from CPA Electric. The homeowner asked for CPA Electric license number, insurance contacts and his attorney's contact, told the attorney to contact the homeowner asap. Chad Abbott bragged he did not pay for insurance. He lies on his cards. Hold on! The payment was not even discussed as CPA Electric ran away in a hurry to another client with job unfinished, leaving this job a complete disaster. What payment were they talking about? I hired Chad Abott to install 20 recessed lights and 3 light switches, enticed by his claims of being licensed, bonded, and insured, as well as his reasonable pricing. Initially, he seemed professional and knowledgeable, and we discussed the project in detail over several phone calls. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a significant mistake. On the day of installation, Chad arrived over 30 minutes late. While he installed the lights in my bedrooms, he left several outlets non-functional throughout the rooms and only mentioned this issue after I noticed it. When confronted, he suggested covering the non-working outlets with blank plates instead of fixing them--a clear sign of unprofessionalism. Additionally, Chad insisted I purchase extra materials that turned out to be unnecessary, and provided smart dimmer switches incompatible with my existing smart lights. This oversight is something a professional should avoid, wasting both my time and money. Throughout the job, Chad frequently complained about clients leaving negative reviews and pressured me to write a positive one. He also asked for payment before completing the work, which I regretfully provided. After the initial installation, Chad claimed the lights I purchased didn't fit and promised to help me find suitable replacements. Despite numerous calls and messages, he ignored me for days, making excuses about being busy with other jobs or at the movies. He eventually promised to return on a specific date but failed to show up or respond to my attempts to confirm the appointment. To top it off, Chad left a significant mess behind, despite borrowing my shop vac for cleanup. I ended up cleaning up after him and finishing the job myself. His behavior was unprofessional and deceptive, and his claims of being licensed, bonded, and insured now seem highly questionable. Had some major electrical issues in my home and called multiple "big reputable companies" within the area and got lazy, unprofessional technicians each time. These guys are only looking for your bank account and up selling everything possible. I finally called CPA electric and was quickly comfortable after just a simple phone call. I was offered same day service which is really important due to my everyday schedule and them being so understanding how urgent some unexpected electrical issues are to some homeowners. I've tried to play the electrician role with my specific issues and I only looked like a deer in headlights! Don't even try to fix electrical without the proper knowledge. Chad came out to my home within the hour and from the second I met him I knew how professional him and this company are! Chad was very caring and attended to all issues within my home while still understanding all of my concerns! There was not one point during the service call I felt Chad did not know what he was doing! CPA electric, Chad Abbott and Chris Burkman are an ultimate nightmare. They sold my parents an electic panel upgrade, could not deliver. They were a no show the first few appointments because their truck caught on fire, they ran out of gas, the road was blocked, the steering wheel on the truck broke. Neverending exuses. Should have noticed the first red flags. They brought a used exterior panel for $2,600 and kept giving me shit how it was such a good deal and they should really be paid more. Chad badmouthed other electricians in the area, bragged how great he was. The electric panel job took more than two days, it did not pass inspection. Messaged me all night. Argued with me, threatened to sue my parents. Chad Abbott showed up uninvited to my parent's house and ran when he saw cameras. He vindictively threatened my parents the next day, slashed their tires at night, so they are worried about retaliation. Chad is addicted to drugs and has a gambling problem. What an amazing service, Chad was just an amazing guy to work with... my wife and I just got our first home and needed recess lights because there was no light in the entire loving room ... I called several electricians for quotes and they were all way out of my budget... not only did we Chad install lights in our living room... he did the hall way, kitchen, upstairs and hanged up 2 chandeliers for the same price the other electricians were charging me for just the living room!!!! And when he showed up it took one second to realize he was an actual professional electrician not some guy from market place who does it as a side job... CPA Electric, Chad Abbot and his unlisenced and uninsured helper Chris stole my tools that were laying in the house. They charged me $650 deposit, never showed up for the job and never returned my calls after they screwed up several projects in Lake Arrowhead, where Chad stayed at his parent's house. Do not trust these guys. Lots of people were threatened by Chad Abbott and several police reports were filed. This dude has tried to intimidate other homeowners by calling and texting them at night, throwing derogatory things at their loved ones, their children, their family members, etc. He needs to go to a rehab.
