I had my first Botox injection and paid 380.00 for my forehead only. I still had movement and had no follow up appointment which I was told if I come back in two weeks if I needed more it would be free. I had to call back and make an appointment and it was over a little more than two weeks. I got more Botox injected in forehead, between eyes and added crows feet too. It cost another 200.00. It was Not free. They did not take an after picture to compare during the follow up. I'm two days in and see no results and still have movement in my forehead and between eyes. Bobbi said she almost used the wrong syringe on my forehead because someone else put it in her room. That it would of hurt and been bad. So I can't help but wonder if I was injected with something that was a not Botox. read more

I had a great 1 hr respite from Jville. Massage therapist was awesome and very knowledgeable. I have heard some of the employees are hit and miss. Jerri and Amy are good. My only complaint was by the end, I could here some loud @ss customer talking in the waiting area. Would have been nice to have a changing room and thicker walls. I have literally been to every spa and salon in Jacksonville and Carolina Pines tops them all. First off, everyone is wonderfully helpful and just genuine people. The girls at the front desk were beyond sweet and extremely knowledgeable. On my first visit I had a massage and walked out feeling completely renewed. I've had massages all over Jville and Wilmington, but again, Carolina Pines is the best. At another visit Juliana did laser hair removal for me and I couldn't believe how quick it was! She did a full brazilian, underarms and legs and she's so easy to talk to that you don't even notice the procedure. I am absolutely addicted to this spa and will never go anywhere else. This review is for the child care service they offer. I did go here a few years ago to get a facial, but I haven't been back since. I had a lovely facial, but I found someone to go to in Wilmington and I'm totally dedicated to her. So a few weeks ago I saw an email from CPM saying they do drop in child care. I am a very hands on Mom and where I go, my son goes too. Unfortunately that can't always be the case. I had an important luncheon I had to attend on base and my son couldn't come, and my hubby was working. So I thought "well, I guess now's a great time to try drop in care." I show up and was greeted, warmly, by Amanda. She was adorable and gathered the paper work I needed to fill out and walked me back to the play room. She asked me about my son, his likes, dislikes, etc etc and then 10 min later I was out the door. When I returned 2.5 hrs later I walked in and saw my son sitting on Amber's lap, coloring and having the best time. It was a sense of relief that they were so great with my son and he seemed to really love being there. Now that you can get an idea of what my experience was with CPM, I HIGHLY recommend them. They are a one stop spot for all your Mommy needs: Massage - check Facials - check Botox - check Pilates - Check Yoga - Check Drop In Child Care - check! Best part is that for the 2.5 hrs I was gone it only cost me $10. Yep, TEN dollars. They are also going to start saying open till 10PM on Fri and Sat's so parents can do a date night. Had $500 worth of Dysport injected with no results whatsoever. No results meaning they didn't even bother taking "after" photos. I called, emailed and walked in to express my concerns since it was my first experience and so expensive. I decided to go back for a touch up with botox instead and it cost about $160. I'm not exactly sure why I responded to botox and not dysport but oh well. My complaint is that I was treated like a nuisance when I expressed concerns. I also didn't appreciate the pushiness with AKEA. I was initially interested but when asked how I liked it so far when I hadn't even started it was preceded by more intense pushing I was a definite no. read more

The woman that is the practitioner is extremely passionate about what she does. She is knowledgeable about more than just facials or massages. She knows a lot about health, and nutrition. I received a facial and dysport before my wedding. The dysport didn't work the same as botox. It never fully stopped muscle movement. I will return because her bedside manner is incredible. I would do botox next time though. I am also interested in trying her diet options. read more

MAGNESPHERE -- I AM A BELIEVER!! After being diagnosed with a bulging disk that had manifested itself in the way of sciatica down my left hip and leg, I was told I would have to just let it run its course and deal with the intense pain in the best way I could through stretches and pain meds. AND believe you me, if you have ever dealt with sciatica, it presents with SCREAMING pain! Everyone I spoke to who had experienced this type of injury mentioned it took 3 to 4 months to work through it. Julianna, who is an absolute WELLNESS GURU at MEDSPA, mentioned MAGNESPHERE treatment as a way to lessen anxiety and stress levels which in turn could lessen or even better, possibly eliminate the pain. At that point, I was up for anything because I am extremely active and needed to regain normalcy in my life! With a structured appointment sequence of three times a week for two weeks, I checked in to spend an hour in the SPHERE, which is very quiet, relaxing and comfortable! Even though I am not a napper, I fell asleep every time. Although the pain did not disappear after a mere one visit, the pain did seem to lessen with each visit and along with that I was sleeping better, feeling rested and less anxious, as well as, less irritable (pain does that to you!) and my blood pressure was lower. Pain meds lessened from three a day to one and then none, which is something I wanted right away. I might add, I believe the MAGNESPHERE had a positive effect on my digestive system as well. I might have been the "anomaly" in a normally otherwise most awesome service. However........) I was calling about a waxing service and had about a ten minute "listen" (and I say "listen" because I never got a chance to talk, I just "listened" to the Esth. talk) to how horrible that waxing service was going to be and it would be the most painful experience I have ever had. Worse then having kids. The Esth. then launched into a sale pitch into getting laser treatments! Gee whiz! I've gotten "that area" waxed before, I know it hurts but listening to the Esth. was like a bad a Marilyn Manson song (meaning-I wanted to set up a waxing appointment and she was talking about a review for a horror movie!!); quick tip, if you want to "upscale" my service do it AFTER I have come in for my first appointment and then tell me about the benefits of laser vice waxing. Maybe other ladies will have a better experience; maybe the Esth. was just having a bad day...but after this call I immediately booked and appointment at Aveda in WIlmington. From a soothing facial to her amazing knowledge of how your diet affects the appearance of your skin.
