Avoid this place at all costs! This is honestly the worst experience I've had with a therapy clinic. They have a strict 24-hour cancellation policy and will charge you $35 even if you miss that window by just a couple of hours. I called 22 hours in advance to explain a total emergency that made it impossible for me to attend, but they didn't care at all. I even spoke with management, and their attitude was horrendous. They showed zero empathy for my situation--it's clear they care more about collecting a fee than they do about their patients. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere that actually values people over money. read more

Superb physical therapy! When your orthopedic surgeon can't help you out, get an appointment here! Emily listened intently to me. Examined and touched both of my ankles. Developed a diagnosis and then walked me through several exercises and stretches to alleviate the problem. I received both a written copy of my diagnosis and exercises/stretches and an app with video versions of the same exercises. I cannot recommend these folks enough! Thank you Emily! read more

This company has a very cruel penalty if you can't make appointments. I had to have another surgery on the ankle they were to help rehab. Upon learning this from my surgeon, I immediately called to cancel all appointments until further notice. I knew I'd be in a Skilled Nursing Facility for a few weeks and told them so. Because I didn't specify which dates, but said ALL FUTURE APPOINTMENTS, they only cancelled one appointment. I was subsequently charged $35 for no show. Upon calling I was treated very rudely and was told their policy stands. For a measely $35 they were willing to ignore my wishes, ignore common sense (who has major surgery and within a week are ready for rehab? Stitches and external brace wont be removed for another 2 weeks!). I never do business with companies who are willing to foster ill will over such a pittance. Subsequently I had my insurance call them and they flat out lied to them. My insurance recommended I contact my credit card company, which I did, to start a dispute. I suppose they didnt think I'd persue such a small amount. WRONG MOVE. I am going to every online review source and excoriate these A#@holes. Tell them I sent you away, please. read more

I'm considering forgetting the whole thing, except I can't use my wrist. They suggested maybe I wanted to be referred somewhere else. I said I just want to know the codes you need so I can ask the Dr. for the referral, and it would have been so much easier if you told me I need a referral with these codes and I was responsible for getting it, or send a request to the Dr. for the codes, which they would not. read more

Over the past 2 years I've worked with 4 physical therapy groups in the Long Beach/Signal Hill/Los Alamitos area and Reischl has proved to be the best. My issues have been related to my back surgery...walking, balance, leg weakness, stiff tendons, etc. Anthony Lujan is a wealth of information and practical application. He understands the skeletal and nerve issues of injuries and surgeries.. Wish I had started with him sooner. He varies workouts and adjusts them as you improve and provides information so you can augment your workouts at home. The facility on Willow is busy so it may take longer to get in but the wait is worth it. read more

At the beginning of last year, I tore a couple of tendons on my shoulder, and I had to have surgery to reattach them. My health insurance company sent me to Reischl Physical Therapy, and they assigned Dr. Jake Pham as my therapist. He was very thorough in the first evaluation and established the condition and limitations of my shoulder. He asked me a lot of questions and he learned what type of activities I enjoy doing. During the second visit, he explained to me that the exercises that he selected were specifically designed to work the shoulder so I could go back to doing the activities that I was doing before my accident. The therapy was very intense but never painful or uncomfortable. Dr. Pham and his assistants were always watchful, and they made sure that I was doing the exercises properly. Every physical therapy session started with an evaluation by Dr. Pham and depending on my comments and progress, he modified the exercises. This kept the exercises challenging and sped up the recuperation process. They also gave me exercises to do at home and they were extremely helpful. After about 8 weeks of very intense physical therapy, I was able to kitesurf again. This made me incredibly happy. I took it easy for the first month but then I realized that my shoulder was as strong as it was before. Overall, I was extremely happy with the help that I got from Dr. Pham and his assistants. They were very professional and focused on helping me heal my shoulder properly. I have seen a lot of physical therapists in my life, but Dr. Pham was the best one that I have seen so far. I know that I am going to need more physical therapy later in my life and I'm going to ask for Dr. Jake Pham. read more

Not sure how to rate this place. I usually rate restaurants and businesses. I was referred here through my doctor. My knee problem didn't get resolved but that's out of their hands. Understandable. The place is clean and the staff is very polite and professional. The equipment is fair and parking is plentiful. I can't discuss prices because it's through insurance. This is the only pt I've been to. So I can't compare or know good from bad. Sorry if this is bad. I was treated well though. read more

This is absolutely the best place to be if you want to get better! DANIEL C is my personal therapist and boy is he great. He works me effectively, and in a way I can progressively improve mobility in a timely manner. Its easy to have someone show up and put you through the movements BUT to have a therapist provide direction, proper techniques and yes the necessary kudos is great and welcomed. I would recommend this place to all... But you have to ask for Daniel if you want the mobility and directions to get better soon. This is one of the best physical therapy centers in SoCal. I have been here four times in the past 13 years for different injuries. They have been able to help me recuperate much quicker than other PT facilities I tried. They are professional and extremely knowledgeable. I am working this time with DPT Brandon for a lisfrank injury and am making great progress regaining mobility and range of motion. I would recommend this spot to anyone. I would absolutely recommend Jake my PT and the staff of Reischel physical therapy. Jake's kindness and knowledge help me gain strength and confidence with my arthritic leg. I was referred to Reischel PT following my surgery to repair a broken hip. What an amazing, encouraging positive experience I had. My Therapist, Marland, is friendly,caring and very skilled. My PTA, Juan, was attentive and encouraging. Marland and Juan always made time during our sessions to chat with me and make my therapy pleasant and something I looked forward to. Wasn't happy with the "therapy" I received here. I'd never had PT before and maybe I had wrong expectations, but no one ever really worked on me. I was given exercises to do at home and whenever I went to the office/gym, the therapIst would give me the same exercises to do there in the gym and then hand me off to an assistant. Delsie worked on me ONE time and that was the best I felt. The rest of the sessions were what I said above. In the end, it made my shoulder worse and now my dr is sending me to ortho. read more

Most doctors office tend to be an awful experience with long waits or people who dont really care about you, but that is NOT the case for Reischl! Everyone here is awesome and they all treat you with respect and take the time to give you proper care. Steve is my therapist and is awesome. He works with me to find exercises that work specifically for me so I'm not in any pain, explains everything very well, and listens to any concerns or questions i have. At the end of every session, they offer to let you ice for 10 minutes which feels great after the workouts. Additionally, they're always SUPER on time here. I have never once had to wait past my appointment time. Ive just started treatment so i have some time to see how i progress, but will update once I'm done. This is very, very overdue but DPT Jon Tam healed my persistent lower back pain that affected activities of daily life. My QL muscle was injured and Jon was so helpful in providing care at appointments and giving me very effective exercises at home to help my lower back pain. He is very knowledgeable of what muscles I needed to work on to alleviate the back pain and how to go about certain movements carefully to not disturb the back pain. I do dragonboat/paddling so Jon went as far to improvise the gym equipment to mimic paddling movements. He was able to show me how to paddle correctly to preserve my lower back! Jon doesn't paddle but he was able to dramatically make a difference in bettering my technique while conserving my QL muscle. With Jon's expertise and by consistently doing the exercises Jon recommended me to do, my lower back pain was healed in around 3-4 months!!! I was still able to paddle as Jon knew how to balance refining/adjusting my paddling exercises with my lower back release and rest. I'm very thankful for Reischl PT and Jon Tam!! I don't have any more pain and I am able to have a better understanding on how to safely do certain movements. Thank you!!! read more

This establishment doesn't warrant even one star. My experience was deplorable. I called on 7/16 to make an appointment with Jason for 7/23 at 4:30 p.m. I downloaded all of the new patient forms and completed them in preparation for my appointment. On 7/19, I received a very strange voice mail message "confirming the cancellation" of my appointment. I promptly returned the call to find out how my appointment had been canceled without my knowledge. I was told that my appointment was given to someone else and that I could reschedule or be placed on the waiting list for something else that day. I'm sorry, I must not have heard you correctly... I can wait for another appointment to replace the appointment that I already had but that you gave to someone else? Really, that's what you're going with? How about if you call the person that you gave my appointment to and offer them another appointment or the wait list, since I already had an appointment? After wasting several minutes of my time and having heard enough lame excuses and lackluster apologies, the person talking with me did not seem to grasp that I needed an appointment at 4:00 p.m. or later and kept offering me appointments earlier than 3:30 p.m. What part of, "I work until 3:30 p.m. and my schedule is not flexible at this time", are you not understanding? In addition, no attempt was made to reschedule with Jason, which is the person that I had requested at the outset. Awesome customer service, guys. After several minutes of haggling, I took an appointment at a time that was less than convenient, but I had to get back to work, so I just took it. After mulling over the conversation and the situation, it left me with an uneasy feeling about how my time in PT would be spent, based on my first encounter. For 4 years I have worked with Doctors, Neurosurgeons and Physical Therapists to no avail. I have peripheral neuropathy and can only walk with the assistance of a walker. This is the first time in my 7 experiences with Physical Therapy where I've appreciated the location, parking, offices and most importantly, the Physical Therapist. I've had some weird, cruddy and painful encounters in the past, but I am so happy at Reischl and with my therapist, Will. He pushes me while remaining completely empathetic. He's just great at what he does. And the facility... the parking is directly at the entrance (important for someone going through therapy), they built out a warehouse space with a large general workout room and individual small rooms for one-on-one work. What started out as therapy from Reischl to ease the pain caused by some damaged disc in my lower back ended up as one of the best thing that could ever happen to me. The fabulous staff not only accomplished what my doctor had hoped for but they provided me with an ongoing program that is helping other parts of my body. I lost a lot of excess weight, my BMI dropped and I am more mobile that I have been in years and I owe it all to the Reischl staff. I "graduated" today and i am finished with the therapy but I will continue to do the exercise routines that they set me up with. I live in Torrance and could of gone to a number of clinics in my area but the treatment and care I received was far superior here. I would give this a four star if I had a better experience with the front desk. I was about five minutes late due to traffic and finding the place. I'm new to the place and I have no idea how things go around the office. I wasn't greeted or asked to sign in. So I stood waiting, since the receptionist was helping another person before me. I was already late to begin with and there was another girl sitting there doing nothing. Maybe five minutes in, I was finally noticed and asked to sign in. *sigh* really? you couldn't have told me that when I first got there? I signed in and waited my turn to give them my info and payment. I could tell these chicks were not happy to be at work. They seemed very unapproachable and unfriendly, not one smile. Just monotone and straight face. Anyways, I finally got called in and even my physical therapist asked why I was late. I didn't have the energy to throw the two receptionist under the bus. I just wanted to get started and get myself back in order. My PT was super friendly and very understanding. I could tell he found my issues with my back and right leg. I am actually looking forward to my next sessions and hopefully the two receptionist will have better attitudes. My fiancé started having problems with his shoulder after his liver transplant caused him to have severe nerve damage. I knew from my cursory background in kinesiology and my own athletic therapist's assessment of him that he had severe muscular dystrophy that caused his scapula to wing away from its natural position, causing him a lot of pain and discomfort. When he started therapy with Will at Reischl Therapy, I have to be honest I wasn't really hoping for much of a recovery (it had been bad for quite a while) and my physical therapist was pretty shocked at how bad the deterioration was. Over the weeks as my fiancé attended therapy with Will and did his at home exercises, we gradually saw his shoulder gaining muscle and gaining strength again. I cannot tell you what a relief it is to know that because of Will and Reischl Therapy my fiancé is able to play sports again, and will eventually, be able to pick up our future children in his arms!! read more
