Austin's very own Saltt is truly a gem. We were in town celebrating a family member's birthday and came here for brunch, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere and vibes were a 10/10 beautifully decorated, and we visited on a Sunday when they had live music, which was such a great touch. Although they were a bit short-staffed, the team did an excellent job keeping everything moving and getting the food out in a timely manner. The food was also a 10/10. As a Port Arthur resident, I know good salt and pepper shrimp and chicken, and Saltt absolutely did this signature flavor justice. I ordered the salt and pepper shrimp and grits, and my husband had the salt and pepper chicken and waffles both were outstanding. Not a single bite was left on the plate.

Incredibly tasty! Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday for brunch and it was a spacious space, easy parking, and friendly vibes. Live music played while we chowed down and enjoyed some mimosas. The food was great and I enjoyed my salt and pepper wings which came with a side of shrimp fried rice. a solid option and perfectly fried and seasoned. The other folks in my group got the brunch items and enjoyed their shrimp and grits as well as their chicken and waffles.

If you know me that you know, I love brunch and more than brunch. I love a family ran black owned business. Upon entry, I was greeted by the wonderful sounds of an alto saxophone with some smooth R&B playing. You wait in line order your food then go to the table and the food is brought out to you. The service that we received was excellent from beginning to end. The food was delicious from beginning to end. I ordered a Boudin balls, a fried shrimp and grits that came with eggs, bacon, and toast as well. The grits were so delicious. You can taste this smooth Gouda, the chicken broth that the grits are cooked and they were full of flavor. I will say I do believe that the grilled shrimp was better than the fried shrimp as the grilled shrimp had a bit of more flavor. I tried one of my friends, chicken, wings, the salt and pepper seasoning with the green onions. Oh my God, hands-down the best. I would absolutely return to this restaurant and try other items that are on the menu. Thank you guys for an exceptional experience and delicious food.

Food is always on point! The salt and pepper shrimp and fried and the shrimp and grits!!! My Favorite the shrimp and rice are packed with flavor. The shrimp is perfectly crunchy and peppered. Them Grits!!!! creamy as eva! Shrimps are plump and perfectly cooked. The customer service is top tier they answer all your questions and give samples of their frozen Margs. Such a beautiful restaurant seating yourself is simple and welcoming. I wish I knew hey had a lunch special special! I found that out today!!! See yall again soon...

The restaurant is nice, the drinks were good, service was good, it's clean and the vibes were great... the food was not. I ordered chicken and waffles and I was disappointed. The chicken was disgusting. The same batter used on the shrimp was used for the chicken and it had an Asian flair but lacked flavor. This was my first time having chicken with no seasoning (AT ALL) and a boiled chicken taste / smell. I should've sent it back immediately when I saw that dang tartar sauce. I'd go back for drinks but this item needs to be removed from the menu. I wasted my money because I ate one piece.

Their grilled fish and grilled shrimp are gluten free. They come with veggies, a slice of toast, and a side of shrimp fried rice or French fries. I got the grilled fish, and it was very good--well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The indoor mural is cool, and the staff are very nice.

Finally got to check out this local spot I've been meaning to visit for a while. Austin's Very Own Saltt is in the strip center across from Walmart off Burnet Road @ Anderson, so easy to miss. Despite the less than ideal location (but with lots of parking), everything else was great. Had the fried fish and shrimp fried rice lunch special. Great deal at $9.99. Fish was perfectly fried with a nice cornmeal crust. Shrimp fried rice was magnificent. Includes a bonus piece of buttery toast and a fountain drink (served in glass not a throw-away cup, which I greatly appreciate). Super friendly service. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the Bob Marley mix playing during my visit. Can't say enough about this hidden gem. One suggestion: add a local Pilsner to the beer selection - Real Ale Hans, Meanwhile, or 512 would do nicely.

The food: I was nostalgic for catfish Friday and ordered the salt and pepper catfish with fried rice as my side. I was a little nervous of the spice level but went for it anyways and I was fine. I'll be ordering this preparation next time I'm sure. Tempura batter was amazing. If anything, I think the fried rice had the most heat. Can't wait to try a daiquiri next time when not prego. The vibe: clean, fresh, and laid back feel. Loved the mural walls to show off the many aspects of Austin. It was nice to have TVs as well that weren't too in your face so you can watch if you want but easy to ignore as well. The staff: very helpful and timely with getting food out. This not really staff related but I would recommend redoing the lunch, happy hour, and brunch menus. They aren't super clear and don't include prices. It makes for a bit of a confusing experience ordering and caused the line to build up.

I saw a tiktok about this restaurant recently and knew I had to come in when I saw they had so many salt and pepper dishes. My partner and I shared the salt and pepper catfish with steamed veggies and the salt and pepper wings with shrimp fried rice. Everything was delicious and I love that the batter is light and crispy. This was such a great meal and I can't wait to come back for brunch. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, and they had great recommendations.

Excellent shrimp tacos!!! The shrimp fried rice was also good. The portions were plentiful. The spices were spot on. And the jalapeno ranch dressing was the cherry on top. I also had a mango daiquiri which was fun. If it wasn't so far, I would order take out every day! High recommend this place for lunch or brunch. The staff were also friendly and the restaurant was beautiful.

Another great experience at the SALTT. My husband and I both had grilled catfish, cilantro rice and grilled broccoli and carrots. The grilled fish was expertly cooked without oiliness that catfish is known for. The Cajun seasoning was not too spicy nor overpowering. The cilantro rice was fluffy and a delightful to the palate. SALLT has A New Orleans vibe with a diverse customer base.. We will be back again...

What an AMAZING experience. This was our first time here as I arrived with my sister and her friend from LA. The music was spot on. I mean it kept you smiling while eating. And the FOOOOOOD!! Let me not take up too much of your time. It was AMAZING! Yes yes and yes. I will definitely be returning if I'm ever back in Austin. This was some good, homemade food. The seasoning was on point. The portions were RIGHT! One thing they gonna do is FEED YOU! You not leaving here still hungry. The service was GREAT! Overall an awesome experience. Thank you to the staff, cooks, musicians, it was all a blessing. Job well done. Thank you for having us!

I love revisiting restaurants after they have been open for awhile. I like to ensure they get a fair shake to work out the kinks.. This place not only got better but the menu was enhanced. They have the same excellent service and the food is consistent. They have added lunch specials and a nice drink menu. I love that the vibe is chill and hip but the music is never too loud. Plenty of parking and easy access. Our fav lunch spot!

The space mixes art deco with a little bit of Spanish flair, tucked beside/adjacent to Mama Betty's. It's big, but arranged in a way that still feels cozy and social. The crowd? Late 20s to early 40s. Grown and attractive. Lively but not chaotic. Vibrant without being loud. Perfect for dressing up a little, socializing and lingering a little. We Ubered there, so I didn't get a full picture of the parking, but it seems like there may be a little parking garage or validated parking area? Maybe a pay for parking? I would read other reviews. Most of the staff? Fantastic. Professional, warm, funny. Our assigned waitress, however, gave off overwhelmed and low-energy. She was short with communication and it sort of dulled our sparkle for a moment, but the drinks and vibes quickly brought it back. Had we had another waitress, this place would have been a 10 out of 10. On to the drinks: Round one: espresso martinis (made with Tito's). Slightly sweet, bold, smooth, and very sippable. No coffee bean decorations on top, but full of flavor. No cream inside...sort of reminding you of a Black Russian. Served in a ribbed coupe glass. Round two: French 75s with Hendrick's. Punchy lemon flavor, a tad sweet, lower champagne notes but still giving French 75. Garnished with a dried lime slice instead of a lemon. Served elegant in those ribbed coupe glasses (which fit the aesthetic perfectly). The cocktails are well-crafted and intentional. They aren't overly boozy, but they are balanced, smooth and polished. Bathrooms? Immaculate. Unisex. Private stall rooms with their own individual doors. Efficient and modern. No long lines. Opportunity to mingle with the opposite sex in the bathroom if that suits your fancy. Foxtail feels like a good place to start a new chapter. We had good conversations and we enjoyed staying out just a little longer than we planned. Their Happy Hour (4:30-6pm weekdays) is officially on my radar for the future. I'll be back. I want this place to be routine. 9 out of 10.

Drinks are expensive and served in what feels like miniature target brand, low-quality glasses, which makes the value proposition hard to justify the steep $14 price. The atmosphere is where it really falls apart. The space is set up like a bright, casual brunch hall rather than a cocktail bar--harsh, bright lighting, uncomfortable wooden chairs, and basic wooden square tables that don't align with the concept AT ALL. There's no food offering, yet the environment feels designed for daytime dining rather than an evening bar experience. From a design and hospitality standpoint, it's difficult to understand how this made it to opening in its current state. Even a VERY basic understanding of lighting and ambiance would suggest this setup is fundamentally mismatched--ESPECIALLY for something like a date night. If you're looking for a comfortable or intimate setting, this is NOT it. You'd honestly have a better experience sitting outside a gas station with a 6-pack of Coors Light.

Rosé Gosé (note accents) is in an unassuming Airport Blvd location (right next to Jewboy Burgers, an Austin favorite). It is run by a couple from Belarus that came here right after Covid to open up a restaurant, with a sister in Minsk. Defying expectations, the menu is not Balkan at all. If anything, there is a strong Asian influence with poke bowls and a lot of seafood. But the menu also offers beef tartare on their raw bar menu, as well as a steak offering and grilled chicken. It's a diverse and adventurous menu, all the way from small plates to hefty mains and vegetable sides. For the dessert, try the pavlova, a meringue confection stuffed with coconut mousse and topped with lime sorbet and a grapefruit slice sidecar. Everything is superbly presented, and unquestionably fresh and healthy without veering into twigs and berries territory. The cocktail menu is also playful, with a lot of nontraditional glassware and slight spins on popular drinks; their version of a Paloma uses prosecco instead of a splash of soda. The servers are all dressed in rosé jumpsuits and very attentive. The space is amiable and elegant without being pretentious. The table spacing is a little close, so that conversations carry between guests. The table setting has some nice touches, like the little wooden bench that holds your fork and knife off the table. In European fashion, water can be asked for but it won't be served with ice. Plan on taking your time and enjoying course after course.

Rosé Gosé was a delightful Mother's Day lunch spot. It is a whole vibe, and it is uniquely French! When we walked in an artist was playing romantic music on his keyboard, which set the tone for the brunch. It is a small restaurant inside with a larger area of seating on the patio. Of course, our reservations were inside in the comforts of air conditioning. You immediately notice a wine wall hence the name Rosé Gosé. The restaurant has many windows which provide lots of natural light. The tables house miniature yellow roses and utensils sat in a small wooden block...very French. All the servers were dressed in mauve clothing that resemble scrubs from a hospital. If someone stepped out in a French beret, I would have fallen over. Our server, Sergey, immediately served us water and took our order. The restaurant was highlighted as a modern European bistro. The atmosphere was charming, elegant, and stylish making it ideal for a Mother's Day brunch. My hubby ordered a ribeye, eggs and French Fries. I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and egg whites. While I'm not a huge red meat eater, I tasted a piece of the hubs ribeye and it was nicely prepared. My avocado toast was yummy to the nth degree! Everything was perfect. The avocado was precisely cut and at the right level of softness. The salmon was chopped into tiny little squares and so enjoyable to eat. We could not be more pleased. With a name like Rosé Gosé you would expect their drinks to be superb. My hubby ordered a hibiscus tea, which was delightful. I ordered a mimosa that had high quality ingredients and was perfectly balanced...so smooth. We were also pleased with the drinks. This was the first time at Rosé Gosé, however, it definitely will not be the last.

The dark and elegant decor, lighting, design, & layout made me feel as though I were in a high-end Tokyo cocktail lounge. The front room as I mentioned is an intimate bar and lounge area with artwork adorning the walls. It's a modern, minimalist, and sleek space. The artwork is ever-changing (every couple of months or so) and the cocktail menu changes right long with it. Note: artwork is available for purchase. What an absolutely glorious way of combining different mediums (liquid art vs physical art). The craft cocktails & mocktails are the epitome of works of art. I've had great cocktails and mocktails elsewhere but honestly I'd be hard pressed to find anything on this level. You're taken into an entirely different realm just watching the genius of mixologists. It's mesmerizing watching them hone their craft. In the back of the lounge is an enclave of eclectic art and other pieces that then leads you to Konbini, the sushi bar. I was pretty bothered by my experience here. Even aside from their mid drinks, it felt like we were constantly chasing down servers and they were only attentive when they needed something from us. We went to the photobooth to take pictures before we sat down, but the machine ate my money and broke down. I let a server know, and he came back and said he would comp $20 off of our meal, which I was happy about. I honestly only wanted them to refund me my $10 for the photobooth strip. However, they came back a few minutes later and gave us a photo card and told us to use it to pay for the photobooth and it could be used an unlimited amount of times. I was also happy with this solution, but what happened afterwards left a bad taste in my friends' and my mouth. We hadn't gotten menus or been asked what we wanted to order yet. We were just waiting around for drink menus and food menus, so we didn't want to get up and go take photos when they might come back to take our orders. The manager (?) came back to me a few minutes later and asked if we had taken photos yet, and I let him know that we were waiting to be given menus. He said someone else would give us menus, and another server gave us only a drink menu. A few minutes later, we are still waiting for food menus. The same manager came back and asked us to not lose the photo card. At this point, we were frustrated. Why come back constantly to ask for a photo card when we haven't even been given our food or our menus yet? When we finally got our food, a different server asked if we had given back the photo card yet. They were so pressed about getting this photo card back and not actually getting our orders, and we also thought it was a bit distasteful to offer a solution (the $20 off the meal) but then go back on it with the photo card. It was presented as "unlimited" swipes but we were rushed to give the card back, and realistically, we only had enough time to take one set of photos. The drinks themselves were truly just okay. I don't think any of us were particularly impressed with our drinks, but the interior of Papercut is really nice and intimate.
