Stopped by Louisiana Crab Shack for a seafood fix and left with mixed feelings. The service was genuinely great, super friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. Portion sizes here are generous, no doubt about that. You definitely get a lot of food for your order. That said, I found the seasoning a little heavy-handed and too salty. The flavor was good, but it overpowered the natural taste of the seafood at times. Prices also felt a bit high for what you get. I don't mind paying for good seafood, but considering the seasoning and overall experience, it didn't fully justify the bill. Still, it's a fun, lively spot to watch sports games on television with great service and huge portions, just be prepared for bold flavors and a bigger price tag.

I had a hankering for some Cajun food. Wahlah Louisiana crab shack popped to mind. Can you believe that they serve happy hour 4-6 PM Tues thru Sunday...lucked out! I ordered the gumbo, catfish nuggets and sweet potatoes waffle fries. The gumbo was like a work art...visually appealing and easy to consume. The rhue was thick like a gravy with chunks of sausage and okra. There were also finally chopped vegetables. Perfection!!! The catfish nuggets were lightly battered and flavored with Cajun spices. So good... The sweet potato fries were hard fried and cold. They were my least favorite. My waiter was super friendly and very accommodating. I will have to go back and try the crab boils.

This is one of my favorite seafood places out here! Especially for the fried baskets. The fish is always fried to perfection, fries are PERFECT even through third party delivery.

I am always looking for a good seafood boil and yes the flavor was there! We order build your own boil with 1/2 of shrimp, crab, sausage, corn, potatoes, and mussels and added 2 eggs to share which was more than enough. I like mine a little bit more spicy so they told me about the special sauce and it was nice and spicy what I needed! We also tried the boudin balls those were 10/10! We had some Happy Hour margaritas can never go wrong with that on a date night. We had two servers at first it took a while for us to order but then our servers were on it after that and made sure we set up and left happy!

My husband and I went to Louisiana crab shack the other day because we were craving a good crawfish boil. The service was good, waiter was excellent and then good was great! The only thing that wasn't to our tasting was the sausage, but everything else was delicious!

Was on the hunt for some Louisiana-style seafood and I stumbled upon Louisiana Crab Shack located on Anderson Ln. first off, I appreciate the ample parking, and the actual business was pretty spacious with a lot of seating. Right upon arrival, we were treated very kindly to a table. The hostess was extremely sweet and accommodating to us. We got seated and got our drinks really quickly. I ordered a corona beer and my boyfriend got a strawberry margarita. The strawberry margarita was on the rocks and definitely a little more on the sweet side. We ended up, ordering the fried oysters as an appetizer, which were all right. i am not a huge fan of oysters, but the sauce that came with it which tasted like a spicy mayo sauce, was really good. for our entrée, we ended up going with the shack combo number one which we paired with the crab legs, shrimp and side of potatoes, corn, and eggs. We got the house seasoning mix as well as extra butter. Everything was brought to the table really quickly, which was really nice. We ended up going with mild for our spice level, which I thought we could've probably gone up a little bit, but I was afraid that even mild was going to be too spicy but definitely not here. If you are sensitive to spice, I definitely recommend getting the mild since it is the perfect amount of flavor, but if you're not that bad with spice, go for something a little more spicier. The shrimp was a bit tough, but the flavor was delicious. The extra buttered really gave it a little more flavor and I like that their house blend has a little bit of everything. the corn was absolutely delicious and the egg was the main star here. It was about $100 for everything we ordered which was not bad for the amount of seafood we got and alcoholic drinks but I think next time I will definitely amp up on the spice levels and seasonings. The owners came up to our table and greeted us. They were super polite. The overall custom service at the restaurant was fabulous. I have never been to a restaurant where I've been taken care of so much like this before. The owners got to talk to us a little bit about how they started the business and it was such a nice little extra thing.

Food is amazing, so delicious! Our waitress, Nancy, was amazing! So kind, quick service, and a fun place to have a great dinner!

Got the kraken shack combo, beignets, and some apps to share during a weekend lunch. The seafood boil came out hot and quick. We choose medium spice and wasn't spicy at all. The seafood boil was okay, the sauce was very flavorful but thought the seafood. I loved the fries here!

My favorite out of those items was the mushroom salad with vinagarette dressing, who doesn't love mushrooms and some greens! The etouffee was rich and savory with what i believe was their rotating protein of the week. Can't really go wrong with red beans and rice, these are like an upgraded popeyes version. To end the meal we tried their beignets which weren't stellar but reminded me more of a fried donut with some powdered sugar sprinkled on top. My list of places to try in Austin is a never-ending backlog. About a year ago, I had a friend…read morerecommend Lil' Easy for dinner. Since it was this new and poppin' restaurant on East Cesar Chavez from the team behind De Nada, we had over an hour wait that we didn't take up. Its vibe intrigued me, and I think Cajun food is top five like Tatum with a cut. I decided to prepare only slightly this time. While getting dinner with a friend, we were discussing places when I suggested Lil' Easy. I threw a reservation down for an hour later at one of their numerous dining options. Upon arrival, parking at that little strip of restaurants on East Cesar Chavez is a bit treacherous. If you're not afraid of getting your steps in at 6 pm on a Friday, don't sweat it. Anyone else, good luck. There are a lot of different seating arrangements at Lil' Easy: the true outdoor patio with fans and umbrellas, the climate-controlled outdoor space that still brings the sun while still pumping A/C, and the traditional indoor space. Plenty of seating. The entire place was decorated with Mardi Gras beads and colors. Off the rip, we had to set the tone: I ordered a Pimm's Cup while my friend got some secret frozen swirl. We had to throw down an order of the Crawfish Queso as well. The food and drinks were served so quickly, we questioned if it was ours. The queso was De Nada's signature queso with Crawfish Étouffée mixed in. There are no tortilla chips on the side, but instead toasted bread. It's kinda like a DIY Crostini. The crawfish's flavor is a unique and savory balance to the cheesiness of the queso. Very delightful. We crushed it. My friend wanted to go wild. Another appetizer?? Their Shrimp Cocktail was thrown down immediately after ordering. The shrimp was great, but those house pickles were sneakily one of the best things they served us. Living the high life. Speaking of that, I ordered a High Life Pony as we made our main orders: a Fried Catfish Po'Boy and Fried Oyster Po'Boy. Both cut down the middle so we could have a little this, a little that. I think the bread, the catfish and the oysters, and the fries served alongside it were all incredible. My only issue was that the catfish po'boy had horseradish in it. That is a me issue, and I don't know why I can't stand horseradish. I don't know if it was hiding in their coleslaw or their rémoulade, but something was horseradish-y! I'd get the oyster po'boy again and again though! We closed the night with me being fun as I ordered their Frozen Espresso Martini with sprinkles and whipped cream because some other lady sitting nearby had that, and I WANTED TO BE FUN TOO. My friend got herself the seasonal nonalcoholic Arnold Palmer that was spiked with some Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka. Hers was great, but mine was basically a milkshake. I looked like a joyous kid with my drink. I was so very happy. They do give you lids for your drinks if you want to take them with you, but I planned to finish mine then and there. The gimme cups are also a nice touch and have their cute alligator mascot on them. Throughout the night, we could not believe how fast the service was at getting our meals and our drinks to us. Our waitress was absolutely on point the entire time we were there, constantly checking in on us and being extremely friendly and helpful in making sure we chose the right things and had a good meal ahead of us. Lil' Easy is casual, fun, and absolutely delicious. They have some of the best frozens in Austin, and their food is some of the best seafood and Cajun food I've had in Austin, hands down. Get over here. RIYL: crawfish and cocktails

The waitress is very helpful and nice. I came here because I kept hearing good things about the crawfish. I have to say the crawfish was OK. There is nothing amazing about it, but it was good. I will say the corn and the onion were beyond spicy, but that was a nice kick. We also got the oysters. I have to say that the oysters were delicious so I give them that. The gumball was definitely missing a lot of flavor. It was it that good. The deviled eggs were mediocre and nothing special to them. We also got a meat. Patty empanada kind of deal and that was OK. It was a little overly greasy. And for dessert, we got the banana rum cake, which I have to say was nice but again nothing special. As for drinks, they had quite a variation. One of us got the espresso martini, which was OK. It was too sweet for my taste. And then I got the spritz which was nice. It's very hard to mess up a spritz. Not sure I would've come back just because the food was OK if I did come back, it would be for the oysters cause I do say that was really good for them.
