Excellent flavor, busy and popular, friendly service that's efficient, and typical prices for a seafood boil. King crab is our go to, so we hardly ever eat at these places, but when we do we love it. This had a nice mix of shrimp, dungeness and snow crab, sausage, and corn and potatoes. Their house sauce was delicious with a lot of garlic and lemon butter with the just enough spice, although a little mild for medium. And from what we heard from someone living in the neighborhood who frequents this spot, their wings are good too! I recommend this spot. Not a single mark missed on quality of service, experience, interior design or taste! Plus, based on my research for options, this is the best price point you can find in this category, with their most affordable boil option being just shy of $35. I ordered the Boil combo 3, which came with crab, shrimp, sausage, and the fixin's. We also ordered the fried oysters and hush puppies to start. Fair warning, portions are massive so you truly don't need appetizers if you get the combos, but we couldn't resist! I've been to a handful of seafood boil places, mostly ones in Lakewood, and I never left impressed. I came here on a whim and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Three of us split two boils and it was more than enough food for us. For sauces we picked Cajun and Garlic Butter. All of my family love garlic, so we are definitely not going to complain about how garlicky both were. To our pallets, it was the perfect amount of garlic and spices. The seafood was really tasty, and the corn and potatoes served along side of them were cooked perfectly and absorbed the delicious sauces wonderfully. The service was attentive and friendly. My husband decided to have our Valentine's Day meal here. We arrived mid day thinking we would beat the crowd but everyone else had the same idea, Lol. We put in our name and went next door to have a drink while we waited. Once our table was available we walked over and were seated right away. We both ordered food and drinks and all came out quickly and hot. They figured out that they mixed up our sauces. I was supposed to get garlic butter and my husband was getting the house blend but they mixed them up. It wasn't worth complaining so we let it go. The seafood was fresh and everything had good flavor. At the end of our meal I had my rings on the table, my purse on the booth seat and a bag from a pervious place on the table. I got up to wash my hands and when I returned my husband got up to wash his hands. I went to sit down in the booth and a server that wasn't ours handed me my bag and my rings. I said I am not done yet and she said we are busy you need to go. Then she shoves my other bag against me all while I am trying to put my rings on. I put my purse down on the table next to ours and the extra bag while I put my rings on. She picked them back up and shoved them towards me and said you need to move. I said to her, you know you are incredibly rude and she continued to clean up our table. i didn't even get to finish my drink. It was a great meal until she came up and ruined it. We got to order the 6-piece chicken wings (I forgot what flavor we chose), and a pound of shrimp for me. We also got to try different cocktails. I believe I got to try one of their margaritas. I called both, and each assured me they had fresh crawfish. Admittedly, I was skeptical--after all, we're in the mountains and a mile above sea level. Upon arrival, the atmosphere was inviting. The bar is well-stocked and spacious, and Game 6 was on--so far, so good. Located on a busy street, I didn't spot much parking, though I imagine options are nearby. There's plenty of bar seating and numerous tables, making it a great place for groups or casual get-togethers. As it turns out, the crawfish were frozen, not fresh, but I love crawfish enough to stick with it. I ordered 2 pounds--spicy--with corn, potatoes, and hard-boiled eggs, all tossed in their house blend sauce. The flavor was bold and garlicky--if you're a garlic lover, you'll be right at home. If you're planning to kiss someone afterward, maybe hold off. Even vampires would keep their distance! All jokes aside, the sauce was genuinely tasty. I personally prefer a bit more heat, but it was still flavorful and satisfying. Service from the young women working on the night of 5/15 was excellent--friendly, attentive, and quick. I washed it all down with a whiskey and a beer. Drinks are reasonably priced, which is always a plus. Overall, it was a good experience. I ordered a seafood boil and built the order a la carte. They provided a decent amount of potatoes and corn, but I still felt the food was a bit overpriced. Most annoyingly, the lobster tails were on the smaller side. As for the sauce, the flavor was excessively garlicky - so much so that it somewhat drowned out the flavor profile. I ordered through Yelp/Doordash and it did not disappoint. The food was ready by the time I got there it was all ready and you pay through the app, so it was super quick and convenient. I loved the fact they had so many different options that you could choose from, some even having three combos. My personal favorite being the crab legs, crawfish and shrimp. If I wasn't eating alone have totally preferred to eat in the restaurant, they have big bay windows to keep things from getting smelly and hot plus the decor was so fun. I will definitely come back again; everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. Only thing I wish they would have included in the to go order would be lemons, gloves and a bib. I should have written a review of Crab & Shell Months ago. I never thought I'd see the day where I frequent a restaurant weekly but when I tell you, I frequent this place WEEKLY, it means you should go. Not only is this a local, family-owned business, but the food is delicious. My roots trace back to Louisiana and I am a huge fan of the seafood boil. I had been on the search for a decent seafood boil place in Denver and had been disappointed by many different places. I think the Yelp algorithm must've heard my call because when this spot opened up, it suggested I try it out because it was new. I also LOVED that this restaurant was close to my home in Cap Hill. My first reaction when i walked in was how clean the restaurant was and how it didn't smell like seafood when you walked in the door. In the warmer months, they open the front garage-door windows which makes for a pretty great atmosphere. So enough about my thrill for this spot and more about the quality of food. On a scale of 1-5 the food is consistently a 5. I only get the boils and I build my own and I go with the house blend sauce either medium or hot. The sauce is delicious. They put a ton of fresh garlic in the sauce which is why I think it tastes so good. Each boil comes with 2 potatoes and a piece of corn. It's always hot. The seafood is always clean and tastes fresh. The prices are super reasonable too. I think my favorite thing about this restaurant is how friendly the staff is. I go quite frequently and am always greeted with a smile and a hello. When I leave it's the same but with goodbyes and "I'll see you next times." Everyone there is kind and hard-working. When you're there, ask the servers about their story and I think you will be surprised. You'll, at the very least, have a lovely conversation. I can't think of a better place to review than Crab & Boil and I truly hope they stay in open for many years to come. read more

The food was amazing. I'm from an Island and I'm a little nervous getting seafood this far from the sea. So I went here with some friends and ordered the chicken strips. I can honestly say they were some the best I've had in a long time. Perfect texture and flavor . The house ranch was fire too. I will definitely be going back , often.
