I finally was able to visit the restaurant of the crab cab and it was so cute. It's a decent size, and right in the cut behind wing stop on Richmond highway in Alexandria. Tried Crab Cab for the first time with friends for Sunday brunch after seeing an Instagram reel. It's a true gem in Alexandria. It is a small family-owned establishment. I didn't see any options online to make a reservation, but we arrived when they opened and we were seated right away. Upon entry, they were saying R&B classics from the 90s and 2000s which was a whole vibe! Within the next 1-2 hours, it did start to get pretty crowded. The Strawberry Passion D'usse was so good and hit the spot so much, I had to order a second one. The seafood eggrolls were delish and stuffed proportionately well. The French toast just was okay. I visited this restaurant for the first time today. I got there around 2pm and it was very busy but the hostess found a seat for me at the bar. The restaurant itself is small, but it was a nice experience. I loved the 90s-2000s hip hop/ R&B music being played and the bartender was very friendly. This place was delish. We all started eating all of our food before we could get a pic. My husband and I had fhe domiantoe which came with the crab cake sandwich, firecracker salad, and salmon and crab fries. This was amazing. Crab was fresh and everything was seasoned great. Other family member had the catfish plate with the Caesar salad and broccolini which they said was perfectly seasoned. My twin girls shared the fried shrimp basket and the enjoyed it. We came in on a Saturday evening around 6pm. It wasn't packed at first BUT quickly got flooded, they still managed for only have 3 total servers/bartenders. The signature fries had salmon, crab and shrimp on top with a bbq sauce and a signature sauce. Those two appetizers are 2 of the best bites I've ever had. The drinks were amazing too. If you're driving too fast down Richmond Highway, you may miss this spot. It's the driveway right before you get to the Krispy Kreme. A friend of mine recommended it so my daughter (can be hard to please when it comes to food) and I decided to give it a try. We did a to-go order. For instance, how do they not have any hot sauce? I feel like a lot of people eat hot sauce with their seafood. But the seafood egg rolls are good. The server recommended them and she did not stir me wrong. As well as the seafood trio fries. But they were overwhelming! They filled me up to the point that I didn't want my meal when it came lol. Everything was delicious. I'm so happy that Crab Cab has a brick and mortar location along with their food truck because the people deserve both. We started with the seafood egg rolls and they were full of flavor. It comes with a firecracker sauce and crab cab sauce which is more creamy and although it was ok together, I prefer the firecracker sauce alone. I'm happy I was able to scoop out the creamy sauce and request the firecracker sauce on the side. My friend preferred the creamy sauce and mixed option. For our meal, the Dominator was the perfect entree to get a taste of some of the shining stars of the menu. A crab cake sandwich, salmon fries and a firecracker shrimp salad... yes please. The crab cake didn't need a thing added. It's a flavorful jumbo lump crab cake on a soft bun... it didn't need sauce or lettuce and tomato, it was solid on its own. The salmon fries had the perfect drizzle of sauce (I prefer not to have my fries covered in sauce) and the meat was tasty. Seasoned and crisped to perfection, the fries were on point. The shrimp salad was tasty as well although I'm not sure of the dressing used. You sauce reminded me of the creamy sauce but was really good on the salad mix. The pear martini was sooooo tasty. So nice we did it twice and thought about having a third. I highly recommend checking out Crab Cab and look forward to returning. read more

Decided to try this place because of TikTok. I pass this place quite often, but never knew it was there. My friend and I popped in for Happy Hour and were excited to see what we were getting into. The fried shrimp tasted like frozen bites as well. The salmon fries was a mess. The fries were refried fries, which I personally don't like, then the salmon pieces on top were ok.
