I don't know what it was but I was very disappointed. The sauce had a very sour after taste. The crab leg meat was very dark. The lobster tail was very large but was like rubber. I could only eat half. The only thing the was decent were the potatoes and water. I saw the bad reviews on Instagram but decided to go with a friend anyway. I got the 49.99 bag, with the mixed sauce. If you do decide to give this place a try, I would maybe just start off by trying the shrimp and potatoes. read more

My friend suggested this place based off a TikTok. It is very bright and clean inside, there was a subtle "seafood" smell when first entering but it was not overwhelming or super fishy. The had light pop music playing overhead. We went on a Saturday around 5 pm and were seated immediately. I believe you seat yourself. I ordered the 1lb snow crab bag which came with corn and potato. The menu isn't super large and most of the offerings are entrees, which I found to be very disappointing. There weren't any appetizers options other than soup and salad. I was super hungry and the bags were going to take a while so I ordered a side of Cajun fries for an appetizer. There are no alcoholic beverages available but they offer Pepsi products and lemonade. Our waitress also stated they had two mocktails the blue ocean and the dragonfruit which were blue raspberry flavoring mixed with Sierra Mist and dragonfruit flavoring mixed with Sierra Mist respectively. On our waitress' recommendation we tried the dragonfruit mixed with lemonade. It was ok, but had an artificial taste. Note: It was super cold where we were sitting which was by the unused bad, it felt like a door was cracked somewhere and a cold breeze wafting through the place. The Cajun fries came out pretty quickly, they were hot, crispy and overall decent fries . My companion ordered the fried red snapper for her appetizer lol and it looked and tasted amazing, very hot and fresh with good seasoning. Everything in this place gives a fast casual vibe; the drinks are served in plastic to go cups and the silver ware is prepackaged plastic which is not my preference when dining in a restaurant. The wait for our crab bags was 40+ minutes, which is insane. The lack of appetizers and cocktails gave us not much else to do but look around and notice all the tables were full and none but maybe two of the 8-9 parties present had any food on their tables. Now for the bags...after such a long wait we were treated to some of THE most overcooked crab legs I've ever had. The shells were so soft I didn't even need a cracker which thank God because we were only given one for the two of us to share because, as our waitress stated, "we are short on them". The thought of passing a crab cracker back and forth while getting messy with crab bags is also insane to me! The shells were so soft and limp I was able to peel the shells open using only my fingers. The flavors were ok, I had the mixture of all flavors offered with mild spice. The corn was amazing and the potato was good. My companion said her bag which was supposed to be the all flavor mixture with medium spice did not have ANY flavor or spice. She also had lobster tail that she stated was overdone and rubbery and shrimp that she said were almost mushy. I will say the staff were very nice although our waitress tended to disappear for long stretches of time. She was very apologetic about the long wait we had for our crab bags. I love to try new restaurants and glad I gave this one a try but I won't be back. read more

I loved the Red Snapper. I really wish they'd broaden their drink menu beyond carbonated drinks, a nice tea or mocktails even. I was stuck with water all night. They push the over saturated "seafood bags" that everyone is doing. Their best food is what's not in those bags!! Metro Detroit please let go of seafood bags and lemon pepper seasoning. Expand and explore. Great service. I'd try again because the food was delicious. The service was impeccable. I can still taste the snapper and shrimp. I saw all of the great reviews, so I went yesterday 10/14/23. The wait was 35 minutes standing at the door, the wait to have our order taken was 20 minutes, the wait for our food was 40 additional minutes, the order came in 2 parts my husband and son had chicken tenders, my boil came 15 minutes later. It was no salt or seasoning. All of the seafood and potatoes were overcooked: rubbery shrimp, stringy crab, the lobster rubbery - they were great meaty pieces just prepared completely wrong. The restaurant is fairly new a year old, but at 49.00 a boil, I can't be your practice patron. The young owner has a good attitude and was running around trying to help the front AND back of the house. They've had a ton of exposure..... it can make you or break you. I hope they can get back to the great food they advertise. I have no photos as I sent my order back, paid for the other meals ordered, and left....I did not want to hold the table from the next patron. read more

Overall, the food was quite good, well seasoned, not over cooked, and pretty good portions. I liked that they had buckets on the table for shells, etc. The place itself was reasonably well decorated and was very clean, which was nice. However, something about it just felt a little sterile and not particularly homey. More importantly, the service was a bit lackluster; the server didn't explain much, didn't bring us the check when we were done, played on her phone behind the counter most of the time. The food also came out a bit slow, our table had 5 people and everyone's dishes came out one by one each separated by 3-5 minutes; so between the 1st and 5th person, there was at least 15 minutes (I think more like 20+, but I didn't time it), which unfortunately meant the first person's food got cold because they felt bad about eating when the other people hadn't gotten their food. I appreciate that they brought out the food warm, but I would be concerned that if they were busy they wouldn't be able to accommodate people in a timely manner given they seemed to struggle with 5 people's orders. When me and my grandma went there the customer service was nice we asked for a seafood boiled but when we got it, it wasn't seasoned. When we got it the shrimp was hard. My grandma ordered rice but the rice tasted sweet. They decided to tell us at the end that the rice had cinnamon that's something you tell people beforehand because what if we had a cinnamon allergy. Never again, terrible! I believe in 2nd chances,so I will give them a second chance. read more
