Came here after a day at Indian rocks Beach, they have a location (original) there, but I found out there's is a location in Palm harbor, on my way home to tarpon. This location is way better!! It's (3) levels and I sat at the top on this gorgeous day! Drinks are great for happy hour which runs from 11:00am-6:00pm great drinks for $5!!! I had the BEST Crab Cake since I moved (3 years) to Florida! Don't agree with a $35 dollar price tag..BUT it was Soooooo buttery, that I was scraping my skillet for more. Service was great! They might have been short handed..I'm just assuming...but the waiter was making my drinks! That alone is a SUPER bonus!! All-in-all I will come back! We ate here on a Saturday around 2 pm. There was no wait. It is a large restaurant with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The AC was working very well and it was chilly inside! We started with the happy hour OG margaritas. They were ok, nothing stellar. We had fish spread for an appetizer- it was about a 1/2 cup portion with pickled jalapeños, celery sticks and baby carrots (which was kinda odd- never thought to eat carrots with fish spread). It was delicious. I had the lobster roll with fries. Generous portion of lobster. The toasted roll was perfect. Fries were pretty average beer battered type fry. My husband had the crab cakes with fries and coleslaw. They had a decent amount of crab to filler ratio. The serving size was average. The coleslaw is a chopped style. I didn't care for the taste of it, it reminded me of a store bought variety. Overall our meal was good. The service was friendly and it was very clean inside. read more

This was our first time at this location. It's been a long time since we've been to a Crabby Bills because they are far away. But this one is only a ten minute drive from home. We met our friend at the restaurant & sat at Alicia's table by the window overlooking where we parked. Husband got the popcorn shrimp, creamy coleslaw and fries, I got the grilled crab cake with just lettuce and creamy coleslaw, & our friend got the grouper sandwich with creamy coleslaw. Everything was delicious! And Alicia was so friendly and efficient! She filled our drinks when they get low & whisked away dirty dishes when we were done. We loved the dolphin statue out front. We ate dinner at the Palm Harbor location last Saturday for the third time. This has become our local favorite restaurant. Their customer service is excellent! Our server Alycia was friendly, professional, and very attentive. The food has been delicious each time. My favorite entree is the blackened salmon, which is cooked to perfection. The restaurant is beautiful with plenty of space to choose from. The live music wasn't too loud, which we have found to be the case in many local restaurants. Went with the family to AYCE crab legs and fried shrimp. It was the closest place to us that was serving AYCE crab, so we gave it a shot. They make you wait until you're finished with one plate to order another. Which I feel is not in the spirit of AYCE. Like just keep bringing them man. We asked the waiter why we had to wait and he pointed over to a table of guys and said the big wigs were in town and frowned on ordering more crab before you completely finish you plate. Oldest trick in the book to save money. It's frozen crab and shrimp anyways, we could tell because 90% of the crab was cold.The shrimp was hot, but rubbery. Crabby Bill's is an amazing restaurant for seafood lovers who want a "beachy" experience. The shrimp appetizer that comes with garlic bread is amazing, and the blackened grouper sandwich was too. The servers were very nice, but the one flaw was the food definitely took its time in coming out (which is to be expected at a great seafood restaurant). However, once I tasted the quality of the fish I wasn't really stuck up on the wait due to the blessing this food was. The battered fries were also great, and nobody at the table really had anything negative to say! Found Crabby's Bill by accident during the lady's night out at Salty Lime across the street. You can't miss the white building and big red Crabby's Bill sign. Finally, Crabby has heard my prayer. As usual, we sat at the bar for the convenience of ordering drinks and snacks while enjoying conversation with friendly staff (whose name is Jada), not to mention taking advantage of the 4-6 pm happy hour drinks. The Palm Harbor location offers a larger menu than the ones at IRB. We used to drive to the original CB for its grilled Octopus salad, but it was discontinued. I'm glad I found it at the PH location. The portion was large enough for sharing. The grilled octopus was very tender and flavorful. I also ordered "Crispy Calamari," which came with spicy marinara sauce. It was fried to perfection. Portion is less exciting, but its freshness filled the gap. The total bill during happy hour was under 50 dollars. What a deal. At the next visit, I will get the Tybee Island Seafood Feast. For 52 dollars, it is a steal. The restaurant just opened about 5 months ago. The whole building has a feel of French Quarter of New Orleans . Everything is new and clean. There is an open-air dinning area/bar on the second floor which I assume the live music was played at. According to the website, live events take place Thursday through Sunday from 6 to 10pm. Parking space is limited especially during weekends as Crabby shares the space with other restaurants on the same street. Overall, Crabby's Bill is a great addition to the unassuming Palm Harbor downtown. For me, I am just delighted that my prayer has been answered. read more

So we couldn't wait to try the new location here in Palm Harbor as we frequented the Indian Rocks location. This place has nose dived on ever way, it was terrible. The snow carb legs size were an absolute joke and came out cold. The grouper nuggets were great I'll give them that. The Mac n cheese was also cold. We also ordered the crusted crab cake app which our sever openly told us she forgot. It magically arrived 5 mins later. It was obviously rushed. My wife and I were the only ones who ate it and spent the entire rest of the night puking from food poisoning. The Caesar salad was also very average and to my wife's point, how do you mess up a Caesar salad. Anyways we won't ever be back. We will stick to Crabby's Dockside and their crab. My wife and I went to the top deck our first night in palm harbor for a getaway weekend to watch the sunset only to be ignored by the server/bartender for 45 min with at least 5 eye contacts and cold shoulder. Im patient af... but the 5th time was too much. Especially being in the service industry... so I frustratingly wanted to leave, my wife said lets just eat dine in downstairs. WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE!! The hostess, Chris our server and Caleb the GM were all very sympathetic and went above and beyond to acknowledge my frustration and make it right. THAT is world class service. Its not what happens, its how you respond. Great drinks, great food. We had the oysters and the seafood boil, all really good. Checked this place out for the first time on a Monday so wasn't very crowded and got seated right away. Olivia our waitress was very, very nice and helped us with the menu. The food that we had wasn't bad but not great. I had the gumbo and it was pretty good but just lukewarm. I asked for a side of cole slaw and couldn't believe $4 for a condiment size helping...2 bites. Others in our group had the lobster roll, the blackened grouper and the blackened shrimp. They all said "4 stars", not bad but not great. The only other thing that was a detriment was that it was very loud considering that it wasn't packed. It was hard to carry on a conversation without hearing the kitchen activity and others pretty much right on top of us. We wanted to take our visiting guests out for some seafood. The restaurant is located off Rt.19 on Florida avenue, in lovely Palm Harbor. We love the beautiful building and decor. It has an old southern feel with its large windows and open second floor. Once seated, we were welcomed by our server Lily, who made recommendations and gave us plenty of time to look over the menu. We appreciated the prompt and attentive service. Lily made sure to check in on us between our servings and was super friendly. The fried calamari was a nice start, the clam chowder was excellent, and our main dish a seafood platter in garlic butter was amazing! Our friends loved their dinners also. Food was tasty. Serving portions poor. I had 'thick' slice of cod with seafood topping. The fish was as thin as a pancake and the topping had1baby shrimp in a sauce. Very little vegetable and an ice cream scoop of Mac and cheese. It was tasty but for 28.00 I would expect a better portion. The grouper sandwich also had a very small slice of fish. Jordan was our server. Very pleasant and helpful with the menu and what to expect during our visit. The food was very good but not plentiful. Price was expected for the items ordered. Portion size seemed small for soft shell crab dinner. We will try to get to the bar for what seems to have better prices but only 12 seats! Crabby's has been amazing!! Such a great addition to downtown Palm Harbor. Our server the first night we visited was Presley and she was phenomenal!! We had a large party and it was only the 2nd night open, but that gal is a Pro and kept the best attitude and took such great care of us! Been back 4 times since, and the service, food and overall vibe was so awesome! So far I've tried the gumbo, seafood fest, oysters, fish spread, u-peel shrimp and citrus roasted chicken (green beans & taters). My kids had me bring the chocolate cake home and it was HUGE!! Every single thing I've had, I'd get again and again. Big portions! Awesome flavor!! While you wait for your table, you can grab a drink upstairs and listen to live music on the weekends!!! I'm not sure what happened to the amazingly delicious Crabby Bills I knew growing up in the Clearwater area but am sorry to leave this review for the Palm Harbor location (which the original owners own). Went on a Thursday around 4:30. We sat at the bar on the west side of the building (separate entrance). It was FREEZING in there. To the point that when our food was served it quickly turned cold. We started out ordering the fish dip which tasted like awful tuna fish that even hot sauce couldn't help make it taste better. For entree we ordered the seafood topped Alaskan cod. All I can say is it was tasteless and cold. Zero flavor whatsoever. To make matters worse I double check our bill when we got home and realized we were charged $4.00 for one slice of garlic bread that we never ordered ! Needless to say and very unfortunate we will not return to Crabby Bills in Palm Harbor. read more
