I'm not sure what happened to the amazingly delicious Crabby Bills I knew growing up in the Clearwater area but am sorry to leave this review for the Palm Harbor location (which the original owners own). Went on a Thursday around 4:30. We sat at the bar on the west side of the building (separate entrance). It was FREEZING in there. To the point that when our food was served it quickly turned cold. We started out ordering the fish dip which tasted like awful tuna fish that even hot sauce couldn't help make it taste better. For entree we ordered the seafood topped Alaskan cod. All I can say is it was tasteless and cold. Zero flavor whatsoever. To make matters worse I double check our bill when we got home and realized we were charged $4.00 for one slice of garlic bread that we never ordered ! Needless to say and very unfortunate we will not return to Crabby Bills in Palm Harbor. read more

I am going to start with, I really want Crabby Bills to make it in Downtown Palm Harbor. It is really needed addition. To the manager and or owner: Get your act together. Food: oysters were good but watery as they are stacked with lots of ice that melts and fills the oysters shells. Have you tried your calamari? Rubber breaded calamari that you chew and chew. Really terrible. Your oyster stew is so good! Service: notice we only got oysters, calamari and oyster stew? We came for dinner but stopped at appetizers. It was difficult to get service while sitting at the bar. I did finally got a second beer to drink while my husband worked on his stew. When we paid our bill, we were give a card and were asked to please review including their name as there is a contest for a gift card. My mind went, oh you don't want me to include your name. Really glad this restaurant opened in Downtown Palm Harbor. We got there at 4:00 and it was already busy. Always a good sign. The menu had a great assortment, not just fried fish. Fried calms, calamari, and salads were all very good, but not real warm. They give you so much food, a lot of stuff could easily be for two. The picture is what was left after I was full. The crab boil is great, and easily feeds 2-3. Unfortunately, the fried stuff must have sat for a bit before the server brought it to the table. Terrible dinning experience. Four of us ate with my wife and I sharing a dinner. They went 0 for 3 on the entrees and 2 for three on the appetizers. Worst dinner was the one pound lobster tail that came out overcooked and was tough not tender. If you are going to charge $60 for a dinner you damn sure better be able to prepare it properly. My sister-in-law just had the barbeque chicken sandwich and it was also over cooked. My wife and I split the blackened grouper dinner which was very disappointing. It had a fishy after taste and was just extremely salty, Their blackening seasoning leaves a lot to be desired. Appetizers were ok...nothing to write home about. My brother ate his lobster so he was not looking for a refund but based on all three dinners being bad I thought they might at least have offered a round of drinks or a couple of deserts but all we got was an apology. All they are ever going to get from me again is this bad review. Not sure about the rest of the cabby bills but the Palm Harbor locations should be renamed to Crappy Bill's. read more

Overpriced under deliver, Staff is very under trained and has no clue. We found the food to be average at best and way overpriced, they really cater to the tourist and not to locals. When my wife ordered a King Crab leg, they didn't bother to mention the price, which was $95.00 for one leg, plus they said it included two side and charged us for the sides. As a local for 64 years, I will not be taking my business there again. As far as I am concerned you can stay on the beaches for tourist. read more

All I can say is thank you for providing the best seafood I've ever had, with hospitality off the charts, and crab that taste like it was plucked fresh from the sea. Many would think a seafood joint wouldn't have phenomenal mac and cheese, but those many would be incorrect. The gooey, cheesy, melt in your mouth mac was the best thing on the plate. there last week dinner for four 1st lobster roll came with coleslaw was perfect. 2nd lobster roll came with old cold french fries 3rd lobster roll came with old cold hush puppies 4th dinner was a fish dinner that was cold Once they made a new fish dinner and brought new french fries and hush puppies all was good. This was the first time dinning at this Crabby Bills. We had a great both right in the middle of the restaurant. It was so much fun and the staff was so amazing . We had great drinks the manger made me a virgin drink that was blue and had raspberry flavor and brought it to the table. We had a fantastic waitress. She was so sweet. My wife and I had such a great time. The food was excellent. This will be air new favorite restaurant. What a great atmosphere. Fist, bummed one of the waiters. Always great food and service. Last Saturday I witnessed some of the best teamwork I've experienced. Watching Celena and Suzan make drinks, help the food people, interact with the customers was nothing short of a fine choreographed dance.
