Awesome dive bar on the water. Walk up from the beach, you just can't access it from the beach road

We've been coming here for years, its one of our favorite casual places with awesome food...as well as amazing views. Unless you are staying at Rosemary or Seacrest, you really can't get here easily, the only accesses from the beach which has no public access. But honestly, its keeps the crowds down so we can't complain. The staff is no-nonsense, if you need your hand held, this isn't the place for you. Prices are reasonable for fresh fish sammie + side ($25 ish) and drinks are cold. Even our kids love it. Get the tuna dip appetizer and any of the fish sandwiches or wraps. The rum runner is our fave drink. read more

Food is good but I literally ordered To-Go and tipped 5-10% and one of the female the bartenders had the AUDACITY to tell me it "wasn't enough and that [bartenders] work for tips". No joke. Like I'm sorry, standard tipping for a to-go meal is, and has always been, 5-10% of the bill. She may have gotten more... I was planning on going later and getting a few drinks from the bar but now I'll pass thanks to her audacious comments and lack of general respect for paying customers. If this establishment want guests and patrons to return, maybe check your employees attitude. Just completely rude and uncalled for entirely. Awesome! Only thing is it should be called crabby parking lot lady. Steve was not very crabby at all, very attentive to all the guests and even did a fun Shirley temple thing w the kids. Great location, climb up the stairs from the beach to get here, only downside is getting in can be tricky so plan ahead (there may be a better way but we didn't know it). We got a great high top table with perfect sunset view. Kids loved their chicken tenders and the fries were good. Had the blackened salmon wrap for $16, delicious; and my wife liked her mahi sandwich for $15.50. The mojito and Moscow mule were refreshing, standard bar pricing for mixed drinks about $10-12. Quality of food was better than other spots in rosemary where they charge twice the price without actually having any view. As above, only negative to the experience was trying to leave. We walked through the attached property's parking lot thinking that was how to leave, only to not be let out onto 30a by the parking attendant who said my wife, our 2 young children, and another separate family who happened to be behind us were "trespassing on private property" and to "go back to where we came from". So her solution was instead of letting us leave, to have us remain on the property and wander around in the dark. We finally walked all the way back and down to the beach to get to the rosemary beach exit from the beach itself to make it home in the dark. Definitely need a better way to get into and out of this place, esp if the staff in the area are so rude and condescending. I can imagine a much tipsier crew than us not taking the attendants bizarrely rude behavior very well. Also as a heads up we were planning to come back the next day but they are closed on Mondays. Bummer for us but next time we come to the area we will be back for sure. read more

If I could give this place a negative score I would! Hostess was nasty and smelled like she had been in the sun for days. Can someone get her some deodorant. Waitress had a nose ring that looked like a booger. Zero customer service! Don't waste your time there, also not sure why they need a security guard . He spoke with the IQ of a third grader. read more

It is a busy wait. The food is decent but the service is horrible. The waitress did not refill my water one time through the duration of the meal. She also gave me an empty bottle of ketchup and complained to me about my kids order. read more

Customer service at its worst. This place started off on a sour foot when we greeted the hostess. Snarky attitude, jackhole manager "crabby Steve" missed out on a huge tip. We are visiting next week and definitely not spending our money at this un-wellcoming establishment. If I could give a zero, this place deserves. UPDATE: We walked over to La Cocina. Enjoyed a fun, casual lunch here with our big family on vacation! Be warned- you can not access this spot from the road (unless you are a guest at the resort) and it is cash only. If you are enjoying a beach day on 30A however and have bills on you, you are set for beautiful views, perfect casual seaside fare, and welcoming service. Our group of 10 came up from the beach and enjoyed drinks, including very delicious and unique margaritas, and had lunch. I ordered the crab cake sandwich. A generous and crabmeat forward crab cake done up almost like a burger with lettuce and tomato and some sort of mayo/remoulade/aioli. The sandwich was the perfect accompaniment to the view of the waves rolling in. I would note that the prices are definitely high for the kind of food you are getting. Clearly the seafood was high quality but the prices seem to reflect a much more elevated establishment. Overall, I will definitely be returning on my next visit, but would caution those driving in from the beach or who, like myself, never carry much more than $5 cash on them. read more

Quite a wait. They are doing their best with social distancing. Ordered a Grouper wrap with sweet potato fries. Wife got the Crab Cake Sandwich and a Piña Colada. The grouper wrap was good but a little undersized. The sweet potato fries were awesome. The piña colada was also really good although a touch sweet so I would definitely recommend getting the dark rum floater. Wife really enjoyed the Crab Cake sandwich. Overall the food was good with a great view. The wait was long because Coronavirus distancing and limited capacity, but what o her options are available at the moment. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. The adult hostess and owner was incredibly rude from the moment we arrived. We felt like we were an inconvenience for wanting to eat at their restaurant. Busted during the mid day rush and everyone is freaking out running around, everyone was very rude even the manager (Steve) yelling at people to move out of his was and pushing people out of the way. Then we were putting the umbrella down and he comes running over yelling what are you doing when half the umbrellas were already down and yelled and told everyone to move. Then our waitress came around and wasn't very talkative and rude because we look young but all of us are 21 and work in the service industry. Our food took almost an hour for just burgers, when they finally came out she decided to tell us they ran out of lettuce and tomato. The burgers were so burnt they could of been used as charcoal. When we were all finished it took our waitress 20 minutes to come by and realize we had finished our food so she asked how to split it and it took her another 20 minutes to bring it. On the menu it clearly states if you are a minor theres an extra 15% but we aren't minors the waitress told us it's only 15% and told us to just pay it. If you have a rule you stick by I could show I.D. You can't just decided when you charge people 15% and when you don't. So she called her manager over and he didn't take anything serious and was laughing that's not how your treat customers. Would not recommend, food is horrible service is bad bring your own drinks to the beach so you don't have to give them any money. read more

Tried this restaurant for lunch since we are staying at High Pointe Condo. The California Chicken sandwich was delicious...highly recommend it. Also, big fan of their sweet potato fries. We are their several times during our vacation. Good food & service! read more

CHECK YOUR TICKET CLOSELY!! Read below... Bad Customer Service and super average food! I had read that in the reviews, but went anyways and regretted it and the $150 bill too. Yes you enjoy wonderful beach views, but you quickly forget that when your server is just rude and short. She seemed very bothered even to take our order. Our grouper sandwich had some weird bbq spicy sauce, not sure what it was on it that we all scraped off. She questioned us when we asked for cheese on our sandwich like we were crazy people. She said why would you want cheese on your sandwich? The food was so average. Not what I expect for a $25 sandwich. Plus, at the end, she came with an electronic credit card scanner and stood no lie 4 inches from my face to see what tip we were leaving her. She also already clicked on giving herself an automatic 25% tip. Thankfully i caught that and changed it to 20%. I have no problem giving a generous tip, but this service was so bad and then standing over me until i finished was crazy. Never will come back here again. Ruined our last day lunch at the beach. With so many wonderful restaurants on 30A, don't make our mistake. read more

We were in Florida for 1 whole week, 7 days. so how many were we there you would ask? well every single day, every day. it was fabulous very much loved when you are on the beach and feel like a soggy beach towel and you just want to eat with out dealing with people judging you for looking like a wet dog you go here. the food was stellar, immaculate. a dad favorite was the seared tuna sandwich and swordfish wrap also the fries.......... Crabby Steve's??? More like Crabby Everyone upon departure! I've never walked into an establishment in such a good mood and departed in a such a bad mood solely as the result of one waiter. I'm a lifetime Rosemary Beach visitor (stayed at highpoint 7 years straight) and have made a number of visits to Crabby Steve's but unfortunately my most recent visit will be my last. Upon arriving with two small children, we were given a hard time regarding our request for a table that could accommodate our group, and then our waiter seemed to get pleasure out of being outright rude. When all sat at a new table after his aggressive commentary he would have to deal with Crabby Steve if we got that table .. it only took a few more commenrs from him to make us all get up and leave... There are just too many wonderful places to visit on 30A to waste time at Crabby Steve's. Lighten up! read more

This restaurant is for resorts guests ONLY!!! This is not a place for visitors to the area. Access to the restaurant is almost impossible. And don't be fooled, very limited seafood items, and very average food. Service was definitely "crabby." Sadly, what we thought was to be a fun lunch was a disaster. Don't waste your time. read more

Very displeased with the service. Staff is not polite. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and stumbled across this place on a walk down the beach. After waiting several minutes in the sun, we went to the bar to grab two drinks to take back to our beach spot. We were rudely turned away for not having our ID's. My husband and I are clearly not underage and did not carry our wallets with us since we were at the beach. We merely packed some cash for our beach attendants. We noticed that other adults and individuals at the bar were not asked for ID. There were no signs posted that we could see saying that ID was necessary. While I know it is a requirement and understand the liability and legal issues, I would have appreciated a sign or just a reminder that they were going to check before waiting and wasting time. read more

Crabby Steve sure does have some crabby staff members. Food and drinks are great but service is bad. We've been coming to this cute little bar for years. We've had great service but July 2020 staff members need an attitude check. I know this Covid stuff sucks but stop using it as an excuse. We know what "social distancing" means, you don't have to tell us 10 times. If the bartenders were friendlier, the tips would be a lot better. read more

You can't get to this restaurant. It's in front of a gated resort. Drove around for 20 minutes trying to find it. Finally just gave up.

Food is very good. Drinks can be weak. Service can be hit or miss. Grouper wrap was good - surprisingly spicy.

There was a very long line for to-go orders. It was basically one-in/one-out for to-go orders, which seemed extremely inefficient. I waited in line for about 45 minutes. When it was my turn to come in and place an order, a large group that was staying at the resort walked in front of me and started to place an order. So it was now going to be another 15-20 minutes before I could order. I finally got frustrated and left. Very disappointed. read more

Bartenders were pleasant, the owner was the biggest jerk I ever met in my life. So much that my husband walked away but I was determined his bad attitude wasn't going to stop me from having a daquari on the beach but I do hate I contributed any money to his establishment. He truly lives up to his name, crabby Steve. When I say I have never met someone so rude in my life. So I'll tell you how this played out.. my husband and I walk up and there is a sign that says wait to be helped. So we waited, and waited. No one came. The bar had two people sitting as it so we walk up to the bar. Suddenly an older msn appears and says excuse me what are you doing ? We said oh we just wanted to get a drink at the bar. He says, can't you read? It says wait to be helped, so we go back to the sign and wait where there is no one else waiting. A very nice waitress walks by and says, do you guys need help and we say we just want to get a couple drinks at the bar, she says sure no problem, you can just go up and have a seat. Next thing we know, crabby Steve is in our face asking us what we are doing. I said well this waitress just told us to have a seat at the bar. He says don't listen to her she works for me. So we go back to the sign and wait. My husband leaves. 4 people walk past me while I wait. 2 kids 2 adults and they go straight to the bar. At one point he told me I could leave. read more

I have never been treated so poorly from a restaurant much less any establishment. As soon as we walked up from the beach to be seated for lunch a man approached us to be seated and because we asked for a table where there was the least amount of sun the man replied what's wrong with this table in a sarcastic voice? We stated well we just walked a ways to get here so we prefer to be out of the sun, then he proceeded to argue the point so I said well we are your customers and requesting the other table that had some shade so can you please ask if we could have the table? The place was not even busy mind you. He replied just because you are the customer doesn't mean you get your way! Turns out he is the owner and I see why this is called Crabby Steve.
